Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 701, Taking Down Cherry Blossom Country

Translator: Silavin

After finishing off the three super experts hiding in Nagaita, the Bronze Dragon departed with great swagger, leaving behind only the terrified citizens of Nagaita.

His mission, apart from eliminating these three super experts, had naturally caused considerable casualties amongst the populace.

This was unavoidable, after all Nagaita had a dense population, and the Bronze Dragon’s every gesture carried overwhelming power. How could ordinary citizens possibly withstand it? Furthermore, would he truly restrain every move just because of them?

Perhaps his alone sneezing would cause hundreds of deaths and injuries in Nagaita.

Although the Bronze Dragon caused significant casualties, Lu Fan did not mind. After all, this was Cherry Blossom Country, their next target. Weakening them mentally would help with their own Dragon Country’s objective.

If the Bronze Dragon truly became enraged, he could launch an indiscriminate attack and obliterate an entire city without issue.

Of course, Lu Fan still would never recommend such an approach.

After all, no one wanted a country where nothing could grow.

Overall, the Bronze Dragon had successfully completed the mission Lu Fan had assigned to him.

Apart from Nagaita, at almost the same time, multiple regions throughout Cherry Blossom Country all suffered attacks from Giant Dragons.

Some of these Giant Dragons were wreathed in flames, others had two heads, and others bore flowing cloud patterns on their bodies. With just a gentle flap of her wings, ten thousand wind blades would descend, easily capable of obliterating an entire city.

Combined with the Bronze Dragon, the four Giant Dragons struck consecutively throughout Cherry Blossom Country in a single night, killing tens of thousands!

Among these tens of thousands, most were truly unfortunate souls who got caught up in the carnage. What the four Giant Dragons truly wanted to kill were actually the dozen or so super experts above Level 100, hidden throughout Cherry Blossom Country.

Facing the Giant Dragons, these super experts had absolutely no power to resist and were easily eliminated.

The events happened so suddenly that they had not even received any warning before the Giant Dragons had already arrived at their secret compound.

Therefore, these super experts had no time to prepare whatsoever, and no opportunity to escape. They were all killed by the Giant Dragons in an instant.

What should have been Cherry Blossom Country’s nationwide Hanami celebration, had instead become a disaster.

It was not until the next day that reports from various regions competed to break the news, broadcasting information about Giant Dragon attacks on Cherry Blossom Country’s various regions.

Each news report immediately caused shockwaves throughout the world. After all, Giant Dragons were inherently mysterious, and now four had appeared in succession, all attacking Cherry Blossom Country’s cities. This was far too bizarre.

Some even suspected whether someone in Cherry Blossom Country had disturbed a Giant Dragon’s lair. Otherwise, how could they have provoked retaliation from so many Giant Dragons?

However, the reason why the Giant Dragons attacked Cherry Blossom Country was something only Lu Fan, Elder Han and a few others in Dragon County knew.

This brought contrasting fear and joy to the worldwide populace. Some who hated Cherry Blossom Country commemorating. Some who loved destruction watched the television in great excitement. Meanwhile, some feared that this was a sign that there was going to be more chaos to the world, as Extremistis Country was just invaded by a mysterious and sudden Monster Tide, and now Cherry Blossom Country got struck. Would their country be next?

At the same time, some internationally influential figures, after careful research, discovered that all the places attacked in Cherry Blossom Country had super experts hidden there.

They quickly realised that the Giant Dragons specifically targeted Cherry Blossom Country’s reclusive super experts, as though for assassination.

Naturally, this raised questions, but no one knew the answers to them.

After all, no one could imagine that someone would cooperate with Giant Dragons, having them help eliminate super experts hidden throughout Cherry Blossom Country.

Regardless, the Giant Dragon attacks left Cherry Blossom Country wailing from top to bottom.

Many people even jointly petitioned, wanting Cherry Blossom Country’s Four Patriarchs to step forward and appease the citizens’ dissatisfaction.

Previously, when the Four Patriarchs emerged, with such high-profile, the citizens felt the invincibility of their nation. They thought they were now capable of sweeping any superpower in the world.

Yet, when Cherry Blossom Country was under attack with heavy casualties, why had none of these four stepped forward? At least make a statement.

Yet, no one stepped forward to explain this matter.

The Four Patriarchs seemed to have evaporated, collectively disappearing without a trace.

The King of Cherry Blossom Country explained that the Four Patriarchs had left a few days ago, apparently to handle some major affair, and had not been heard of since, let alone return. Therefore, any matters would have to wait until they returned.

This left the citizens naturally dissatisfied, but how could they know that the Four Patriarchs were already dead?

Combined with the hidden super experts previously killed by the Giant Dragons, throughout all of Cherry Blossom Country, there were actually very few worthy experts remaining.

However, since the citizens did not know of the true situation, many still believed their nation to be invincible, but in reality, it had long been hollowed out.

This situation was naturally known to important figures in the neighbouring Extremistis Country.

In Extremistis Country’s Extremistis Palace, a middle-aged man dressed in ancient Extremistis Country attire stood on a high platform, with hundreds of experts below.

This person wore a jade crown and appeared only thirty or forty years old, but his gaze was incredibly sharp.

Simultaneously, his information was displayed openly before everyone, reading ‘Tangun, Level 128, Divine Tamer.’

This person was precisely Extremistis Country’s strongest Player, Tangun, whom even Kage Tenshi had to regard seriously.

Below the high platform where Tangun stood were his trusted associates. They were all Fourth Profession Players, with more than half being Level 100 and above, with two in their Fifth Profession.

This represented Extremistis Country’s current foundation.

Although inferior to Kage Tenshi, so many experts absolutely constituted a force that could not be ignored.

With so many experts gathered, the oppressive atmosphere was quite intimidating.

Tangun looked at the experts below, his face ruddy, his expression full of joy.

He clasped his hands behind his back and declared loudly. “You all should have heard what happened to Cherry Blossom Country. There is still no news of Kage Tenshi and the Four Patriarchs. Most likely, their situation is dire. This must be their karmic retribution!”

“Everyone should be able to see that Kage Tenshi’s high-profile emergence had one purpose: he aims to target our Extremistis Country! He wanted to display his power, achieving victory without bloodshed, driving us from Extremistis Country, then taking over it himself. But now, retribution has come!”

“I’ve already investigated. Those Giant Dragons have eliminated many of their hidden super experts. Currently, Cherry Blossom Country could be said to have no true powerhouse in charge. They are severely depleted and weakened! Isn’t this precisely our opportunity?”

“Kage Tenshi wanted to seize our Extremistis Country but was met with disaster. Now, we shall go and take down Cherry Blossom Country! Today, we mobilise collectively, directly striking Cherry Blossom Country’s Capital. We will hang their King for all to see, then take down Cherry Blossom Country!”
