Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 739, Method of Clearing

Translator: Silavin

[Self-Healing? Armour Transformation? Enhancement? Are you kidding me?] For a moment, Lu Fan truly felt that he had greatly underestimated the Frost Dragon Clan.

It seemed that the Frost Dragon Clan’s development of Ice Element Skills was far more powerful than he had imagined!

At the very least, this Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw had not used any Offensive Skills, yet it had demonstrated a variety of applications in its Skills, similar to Magic Swordsmen.

Breaking through the ice crystal Arm Guard on the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw would certainly not be an easy task.

However, Lu Fan naturally would not give up on the Seven Trials because of this.

So far, everything was still within his ability to contend with.

After that round of probing, Lu Fan decided not to reserve too much strength.

With Xiao Zuo, Xiao You, the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, and Xiao Cui, he should be able to take on the role of Tank and withstand the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw.

Although the ice crystal armour greatly limited Ji Ji’s performance, making it difficult to apply Debuffs to the opponent, what Lu Fan possessed was not just this one Pet Dragon.

Taking advantage of the moment when the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw had not launched an attack, Lu Fan consecutively drew several Summoning Arrays, releasing all his Pet Dragons in one go.

[So, what if you are a Mythical Grade Monster? My Pet Dragons are all Mythical Grade as well! As long as you don’t have a Level advantage, even if you are of the same Grade and have an advantage over Mechanics, I would still not be afraid of you! I’ll just overwhelm you with numbers if I have to!]

One Pet Dragon after another appeared in succession, and the tacit understanding cultivated through multiple battles allowed them to fulfil their respective roles and quickly join the battle.

Xiao Ye directly transformed into her Destruction Dragon Form. Because her Skills were a combination of Fire and Earth Elements, among all the Pet Dragons, she could exert the most direct restraining effect against the Frost Dragon King.

This battle did not require her Strength Attribute, so she directly doubled her Mana Attribute, and bombarded the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw with Great Cataclysm and Magma Burst.

Although Xiao Cui could enhance Xiao Ye’s Damage Output, in this battle, Lu Fan’s Tank position was obviously more important.

Only he could hold Aggro, allowing the other Pet Dragons to attack without restraint.

Therefore, Xiao Cui maintained her Soul Light Form above Lu Fan’s head, enhancing his Attributes while providing countless Dragon Qi Defence and Dragon Qi Attack, increasing Lu Fan’s Defence and Damage Output.

Xing Chen also abandoned her previous habit of slacking off, showing appropriate respect and seriousness towards the Frost Dragon King.

She knew that in her Galaxy Overlord Form, she probably could not tear through the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw’s Defence, so she directly transformed into her Starlight Form, raising her Strength Attribute to a terrifying value.

She would use Shatter Star continuously. Each strike would hold immense force, affecting the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw, causing obvious cracks to appear in the ice crystal Arm Guard.

The other Pet Dragons also attacked, with Bao Bao being even more unrestrained.

Flying at the very back of all the Pet Dragons, his output was the most violent among all the others.

All Skills were unleashed haphazardly, as if they cost nothing. Soon, a massive lightning storm formed, delivering additional lightning attacks to the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw.

If it were any other Monster, it would already be electrocuted senseless in all that lightning by now.

Unfortunately, the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw was covered in an Arm Guard made of ice. If attacked with Fire Element Skills, it might suffer heavy Damage. However, the Damage from the lightning was mostly blocked by it. So, Bao Bao, the so-called ‘Magic Machine Gun’ was unable to demonstrate his formidable power.

It was truly a pity that Bao Bao could only cast Lightning Element Skills, as this was all he could contribute.

As for Ye Sha, he was actually the one Lu Fan had placed highest hopes on originally.

Because Ye Sha was a natural assassin, no matter how incredibly strong the opponent’s Defence was, they would not be able to withstand Ye Sha’s Pierce Damage.

Moreover, Ye Sha’s Skills included many Armour Piercing functions, very likely to directly destroy the Arm Guard.

Once the Arm Guard was destroyed, with all the other Pet Dragons’ attacks striking together, the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw definitely would not be able to withstand it.

However, even when Ye Sha deployed the Skill that cleared all the opponent’s Buffs, Shadow Advance, it only left some scratches on the Arm Guard, completely failing to remove it…

As for other Skills that ignored Defence and directly attacked the main body, they were all blocked by the Arm Guard.

This was the suppression of Mechanics.

Although the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw was only Level 78, the suppression from Skill Mechanics still existed. Many Pet Dragons’ extremely domineering Skill Effects simply could not be realised.

So Ye Sha, who was most skilled at killing, could only contribute some Physical Damage, helping everyone break through that solid arm guard.

Although there were no Skills that could specifically remove the Arm Guard, with so many Pet Dragons, the Damage Output was by no means small.

Furthermore, although the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw had High Damage Output, Lu Fan could still withstand it. In short, the overall battle situation remained firmly under Lu Fan’s control.

This was also the first time Lu Fan had the feeling of fighting a true Boss, where he and his Pet Dragons needed to coordinate: Tank, Damage Dealer, Healer—not one could be missing.

This was unlike before, when even Xiao Cui, who had the lowest Damage Output, could easily one-shot Bosses.

After about ten minutes, under the coordination of Lu Fan and his Pet Dragons, the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw finally had its Arm Guard broken, revealing the flesh and blood body inside.

However, azure mist rose again from that right claw, obviously preparing to condense a new Arm Guard.

How could Lu Fan let it have its way? He desperately led his Pet Dragons in their final assault.

Unfortunately, before killing the Frost Dragon King’s Right Arm, it still managed to condense a new Arm Guard, and the right claw’s injuries also recovered somewhat.

At this point, Lu Fan basically understood what this Trial was testing.

It was testing the challenger’s Damage Output.

If their Damage Output fell short, it would be impossible to quickly smash through the Frost Dragon King’s Arm Guard.

If it required an hour to shatter the Arm Guard, even if some Damage was inflicted on the right claw the instant the Arm Guard was shattered, those injuries would probably have healed by the time the new Arm Guard was shattered again.

In this way, this Trial could be endless.

It was only if one could do it like Lu Fan, who took ten minutes to shatter the Arm Guard, and was able to inflict substantial Damage on the Frost Dragon King’s Right Claw that couldn’t heal within ten minutes, could they pass this Trial.
