Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 728, Refusal

Translator: Silavin

The arrival of such an enormous Adult Giant Dragon instantly subjected all the Ice Crystal Beasts to overwhelming pressure. This was a natural pressure from a far superior species. They collapsed to the ground in unison, trembling uncontrollably.

The Two Headed Dragon paid no attention to this whatsoever.

After all, for Lu Fan and the others, Ice Crystal Beasts represented an invaluable type of top quality Pet. But for the Two Headed Dragon, these mere Ice Crystal Beasts were so weak that he would disdain them even as food.

In the Dragon Domain, there were far too many Monsters even more powerful than Ice Crystal Beasts.

Lu Fan had anticipated this situation.

He addressed the Two Headed Dragon. “I’d like to ask you something. Are you able to communicate with any species through spiritual vibration?”

The Two Headed Dragon did not understand why Lu Fan was asking this, but patiently answered. “Of course, we Giant Dragons are born with the ability to communicate spiritually with other living beings. This ability allows us to transcend language and barriers of species, engaging in direct dialogue. Of course, if the other party’s intelligence is too low, then we’re powerless to help. After all, we can’t hold conversations with idiots.”

“That’s perfect.” Lu Fan breathed a sigh of relief, then pointed to the nearby Ice Crystal Beasts. “Could you try communicating with these Monsters?”

“Level 120 Gold Grade Bosses?” The Two Headed Dragon examined the Ice Crystal Beasts, his massive brow furrowing slightly. “Their intelligence should be enough for dialogue with me. I can’t guarantee it, but let me try.”

With that, the Two Headed Dragon approached the two adult Ice Crystal Beasts.

Instantly, the two Ice Crystal Beasts nearly wet themselves in terror, desperately trying to struggle and flee. Unfortunately, they were so frightened their legs had gone weak. After struggling for several moments, they could not even manage to stand up from the ground.

The Two Headed Dragon emitted several low rumbles from his mouth, as if communicating with the Ice Crystal Beasts.

Seemingly sensing voices suddenly appearing in their minds, the two Ice Crystal Beasts showed obvious surprise in their expressions. While maintaining their reverence for the Two Headed Dragon, their fear diminished somewhat.

They now understood that this colossal creature does not intend to devour them, but had other matters to discuss.

After the two sides communicated for a while, the Two Headed Dragon turned to Lu Fan. “Very well, Dragon Tamer, I’ve established communication with them. Their intelligence isn’t that high, but it’s barely sufficient for conversation and explanation of simple matters.”

“That’s enough!” Lu Fan was overjoyed, then said to the Two Headed Dragon. “Help me ask them if they’d be willing to live here. In the Despair Ice Plains, I destroyed their home. If I send them back now, they’d need to rebuild their nest. What’s more, one of their children has become my friend’s Extra Pet. If they return to the Despair Ice Plains, the Family would certainly be separated. Rather than leaving things like this, I think it would be best if they could stay here as a Family. As for food and shelter, they need not worry. I’ll definitely help them solve those problems, ensuring they can live here comfortably.”

“Understood, no problem.” The Two Headed Dragon nodded, taking on the role of translator as he began conversing with the Ice Crystal Beasts.

After a short while, the Two Headed Dragon turned to Lu Fan. “I’ve conveyed your intentions to them, but they’ve refused.”

Lu Fan was shocked, asking with disappointment. “Refused? Why?”

The Two Headed Dragon replied. “They say they don’t want their Family to be separated either. But this place isn’t suitable for them to live in. Compared to their original home, it’s far too hot here. It’s too uncomfortable for them.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Fan slapped his forehead. “So it’s because they can’t adapt to the environment…”

[Come to think of it, Shadow Isle is indeed an excellent place, with spring-like weather year-round. The migrating Giant Dragons are of extremely High Level, so they are not particularly demanding about their living environment. But these Ice Crystal Beasts are different. Though they could survive on Shadow Isle, they lacked the powerful adaptability of the Giant Dragons. Living on Shadow Isle would definitely be less than ideal for them.]

In short, while Shadow Isle was wonderful and could attract Giant Dragons to nest here, the Ice Crystal Beasts were unwilling to live here.

This was truly problematic. Lu Fan’s desire for the Ice Crystal Beasts to reside here might have been too ambitious.

He was also worried that if this Ice Crystal Beast Family left, they might very well take Tao Xiaoman’s Ice Crystal Beast with them.

Although it had become Tao Xiaoman’s Extra Pet, who could guarantee that Extra Pets would not defect and directly escape from their Master?

Secondly, Lu Fan had never encountered Extra Pets before.

These Monsters serving as Extra Pets all possessed formidable Combat Power, each one’s value probably was not inferior to an Epic Grade item!

If he could allow Ice Crystal Beasts to flourish on Shadow Isle and breed a group of them, he could send some to Tu Jing in the future. Tu Jing could select some experts from the Griffin Legion to form an Ice Crystal Beast Regiment, becoming elites amongst the already elite Military Units.

If that truly came to pass, Tu Jing would probably insist on becoming Sworn Brothers with Lu Fan.

Unfortunately, the Ice Crystal Beasts were unwilling to remain on Shadow Isle, causing all these plans to fall through.

Just as Lu Fan was racking his brains, the Two Headed Dragon tilted his icy head to look at him. “Actually, regarding the problems they mentioned, I can solve them.”

Lu Fan was stunned upon hearing this. “You can help me ‘solve them’? How?”

The Two Headed Dragon replied. “Don’t they just want an icy and snowy environment? I can achieve that with one Skill. We Eternal Phase Giant Dragons already possess the ability to influence Map Mechanics. Creating an icy cold Map environment is incredibly simple. Didn’t this island become this way because of a Shadow Dragon King? I might not be a Dragon King, but if I unleash my full power, I can transform this entire island into one that’s half made of fire and half made of ice. As for specifically designating an area to be suitable for those little ones to live in, that’s also a simple task.”

Lu Fan was ecstatic, slapping his thigh, “You’re capable of doing this? Why didn’t you say so earlier? You had me pointlessly fretting about what to do if they won’t stay here.”

The Two Headed Dragon replied innocently. “You only asked me to help you communicate with them. You didn’t mention wanting me to solve this issue for you.”
