Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 731, Frost Dragon Jewel

Therefore, Lu Fan still decided to properly explore this place.

The Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse before his eyes was the greatest enemy Lu Fan faced up till now. It was an Actively Hostile Monster, and after its body took shape, it flew towards Lu Fan, preparing to launch a proactive attack.

Lu Fan naturally would not be polite to it either, though in this place, using Xing Chen was clearly somewhat ineffective.

The opponent was an Undead Type Monster without a Physical Form, requiring Fire Element or Lightning Element Magic Attacks to effectively Damage it.

Thus, Lu Fan put Xing Chen away and instead summoned Bao Bao, Mounting him.

Although Bao Bao’s Level was not low, and his Dragon Language Magic was powerful, the opponent was a Level 130 Gold Grade Boss, whose Attributes were far superior to the Level 78 Bao Bao.

Bao Bao’s Combat Power was naturally above that of the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse, but Lu Fan did not want to waste too much time on the opponent. If possible, he still wanted to insta-kill it and then quickly find the Frost Dragon.

In their Riding State, Lu Fan could share Attributes with Bao Bao.

In short, he would be combining the Attributes of the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, Xiao Zuo and Xiao You, Bao Bao and Lu Fan, himself. Their combined Attributes had simply broken through Heaven!

Bao Bao also felt a powerful force surging forth, and the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse charging towards them was the perfect target for release.

Without even needing Lu Fan’s command, Bao Bao had already opened his mouth and spewed forth Roaring Thunder.

Lightning exploded wildly, surging towards the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse.

The Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse naturally would not show fear. It probably thought itself to be the actual Frost Dragon, and facing Bao Bao’s Dragon Language Magic, showed no fear whatsoever. It opened its mouth and let out a Dragon Breath as well, meeting Bao Bao’s Roaring Thunder head-on.

Unfortunately, the difference between both sides in terms of Grade and Attributes was far too great.

The False Frost Dragon’s Dragon Breath was certainly formidable. Against Players or Monster of the same Level, it could not only cause massive Damage to its opponents, but could also Freeze them, with potent Crowd Control Effect.

However, facing Bao Bao’s Skill, its Dragon Breath seemed too fragile.

In just one exchange, its Dragon Breath was completely overwhelmed by Bao Bao’s Roaring Thunder, failing to exert even the slightest effect before being directly scattered.

Immediately after, Bao Bao’s Roaring Thunder heavily bombarded the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse. The latter did not even have time to react before being completely overwhelmed.

When the Roaring Thunder dissipated, the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse had already vanished from its original position, as if it had never appeared at all.

Bao Bao let out a *hmph hmph* sound, with lightning crackling from his mouth and nostrils, seemingly emitting a disdainful snort. He was giving off the feeling of ‘oh, how lonely it is to be invincible.’

Such a result did not surprise Lu Fan.

Although the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse was a Level 130 Gold Grade Boss, with Bao Bao’s current Buffed Attributes, it would be strange if he could not instantly kill the opponent.

Being an Undead Type Monster, after being killed, the opponent did not even leave behind a carcass. Otherwise, Lu Fan would really have wanted to refine it into a Fallen Corpse Puppet.

After all, this was a High Level Gold Grade Boss with considerable Combat Power.

Moreover, its Skills were Ice Element Crowd Control Skills. If he could really get several dozens of them together, all releasing Dragon Breath simultaneously, as long as the opponent’s Debuff Resistance was not too outrageous, they would probably be Crowd Controlled to death.

For now, this wish could only remain unfulfilled.

Just as Lu Fan was about to ride Bao Bao and continue forward, his sharp eyes suddenly noticed that although the Frost Dragon Gaseous Corpse had died, at its original location, there was actually a wisp of light blue gas, ethereal like a Soul, lingering. Without careful observation, it would be completely undetectable.

Lu Fan was extremely curious about it and immediately rode Bao Bao forward to investigate.

This wisp was actually quite big. Lu Fan reached out, grasped it in his hand, and used Appraisal to explore its origins.

[It’s… actually equipment!?]

Lu Fan was greatly astonished.

It seemed like this place was different from other Maps.

In this Map, Monster did not drop equipment. At most, they would drop materials, which would then be used by Lifestyle Specialised or Enhancement Specialised Professions to craft the equipment.

Normally, one would be able to acquire equipment through farming Dungeon Instance or Secret Realms.

Therefore, obtaining this thing called Frost Dragon Essence, that could synthesise into a Frost Dragon Jewel, was truly unexpected.

However, this Frost Dragon Essence could not really be called an equipment. It was more like a Special Item.

25 Frost Dragon Essence could synthesise into a Frost Dragon Jewel, and the Frost Dragon Jewel could be considered to be a Ring.

This Frost Dragon Jewel’s Attributes were comparable to a Level 90 Epic Grade equipment, and a top quality one at that with no Level Restriction.

Although it only had one Additional Trait, which has the same name as the material, Frost Dragon Essence, this Additional Trait was too overpowered!

All Attacks and Skills would be imbued with Frost Dragon Essence, and the Frost Dragon Essence not only provided additional Ice Element Damage but also powerful Freezing Effect, directly maximising the value of the Frost Dragon Jewel!

If the Frost Dragon Jewel were put up for sale, its price would definitely be more than ten times that of any other Level 90 Epic Grade item!

However, this equipment’s disadvantage was also very obvious.

Once equipped, it would permanently occupy a Ring Equipment Slot.

If not for this reason, Lu Fan would actually want to create a Frost Dragon Jewel and equip it himself.

Lu Fan had strict requirements for his own equipment. With his capabilities, while a full set of Mythic Grades with No Level Restriction might be ambitious, a full set of Legendary Grade should not be that hard for him to gather.

If a Ring Slot got permanently occupied by an Epic Grade item, he would suffer a massive loss.

As for the Frost Dragon Essence Additional Trait, while excellent, it was not a necessity for him.

He already had so many Pet Dragons, couldn’t they do the Crowd Controlling? Why would he need to rely on a Ring that could never be removed?

Therefore, Lu Fan did not intend to equip it, even if he could synthesize one.
