The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1451: Chapter 1451: Do You Still Remember Kong Zhiyou?

Ding Yuehua sneered, ”You know she never liked me, especially after the family split. Not only are we no longer at her beck and call, but now Sister-in-law is in charge at home, and the second sister-in-law has moved out with her niece. Of course, she feels uncomfortable at home now.”

And it’s all because of her that this started, so it’s natural that mother-in-law sees her as a thorn in her side.

”You have no idea how nasty her words are. She says my pregnancy is unstable, and that the child will definitely be weak and sickly when born. I’ve never seen a grandmother curse her own grandchild this way, it’s truly eye-opening. She even says my body isn’t suitable for having children and suggests my husband find someone else. How can I not be upset hearing that?”

Ding Yuehua didn’t like this mother-in-law, but since she’s pregnant, it’s impossible to bar the door when her mother-in-law comes to visit.

Who knew her temperament could become even more bitter, saying all sorts of things just to attack her.

”My mother said she thought, for the sake of the child in my belly, she’d certainly get along well with me. She hoped this would be an opportunity for the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law to improve their relationship, so things wouldn’t get too ugly. But hearing such words, my mother nearly fainted from anger and slapped my mother-in-law, driving her away.”

Shu Yu was stunned, ”Your mother slapped your mother-in-law?”

”Yes.”

Shu Yu couldn’t help but give a thumbs up, ”Well done.”

Ding Yuehua laughed, ”I knew you’d react that way. My mother was worried; seeing me upset during pregnancy, how could she not be angry? She’s always cared for me dearly, especially since it took me so long after marriage to get pregnant, she’s been hoping I can safely give birth to the child.”

”You will. If you feel uncomfortable in any way, just come to my place and find my eldest brother-in-law. It’s close, so he’ll come quickly, and as long as you provide enough consultation fees, my eldest brother-in-law won’t say a word.”

Talking with her always made Ding Yuehua feel relaxed, especially since getting pregnant. Worrying about the child kept her up at night, often waking her husband.

Lately, seeing him tired during the day and even burning his hair while firing ceramics made Ding Yuehua feel guilty. She used the excuse of fearing he’d accidentally kick her while sleeping to have them sleep separately.

But being alone at night when she woke up only made her negative emotions surge.

She felt a lot of psychological pressure but couldn’t find a way to relieve it. During the day, she didn’t dare express it, fearing her mother would worry.

When Shu Yu came over, even just listening to her vent was enough to relax Ding Yuehua.

She talked a lot, mentioning the blunders she made after getting pregnant, her nervousness, her reactions.

All the while, Shu Yu listened quietly, but then suddenly Ding Yuehua fell silent.

Shu Yu was taken aback, ”What’s wrong?”

”Do you remember Kong Zhiyou?”

Shu Yu nodded, ”Of course I remember, she’s not a stranger.”

”She lost her child.” Mentioning this, Ding Yuehua felt somewhat complicated and upset.

Although she and Kong Zhiyou were no longer friends, they weren’t enemies either. Knowing she lost her child made Ding Yuehua feel very uncomfortable.

Especially now that she’s pregnant, the feeling is even more profound.

”How did it happen?” Shu Yu asked.
