The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Capítulo 1490: Chapter 1490: Sturdy Little Zaozao

The carriage was not moving fast, with the old lady sitting inside, who had just been sick, so Shu Yu instructed to go slowly.

The weather was not hot these couple of days, and Shu Yu opened the curtain to look at the scenery outside with the old lady.

“When we find your aunt, I will bring her to see, this place is completely different from thirty or forty years ago.” Perhaps with a sense of anticipation, after things were clear, the old lady no longer avoided mentioning Junior Ms. Fang.

Shu Yu laughed, “That’s right, when we find aunt, you can walk around with her. Anyway, there’s a carriage at home, you can go to places you’ve been before, places you haven’t been to, places you want to go, this life, it’s full of flavor.”

Even though they didn’t know if Junior Ms. Fang could be found, it was always better for the old lady to have hope than to have none.

The old lady’s eyes lit up at Shu Yu’s description, “That’s good.”

While the grandparent and grandchild were talking, the carriage also reached the Manor.

The sunflowers were just half the height of a person now, looking lush green, although they hadn’t bloomed into golden flowers, just a glance showed they were still beautiful.

Seeing this made the old lady happy, the family used to own only a few acres, and after Lu Erbai hurt his leg, they even had to sell and raise money. How long has it been now? This whole piece of land belongs to them, it just looks joyous.

The carriage stopped outside the Manor, and the old lady was still turning her head to look at that flower field, a bit reluctant to turn her gaze away.

Until a surprised voice came from inside, “Grandmother? Why are you here?”

The old lady turned back, and the first thing she saw was the child in her arms.

She immediately stepped forward two steps, took the child over, “Oh, Little Zaozao, let Great-grandmother hold you.”

Little Zaozao opened her gleaming eyes, opened her mouth, and a string of saliva came out.

She probably thought it was fun, giggling away.

The old lady bounced her up and down, “This little girl is really… sturdy.”

Zaozao was almost six months old already, holding her felt substantial, though not heavy, still not light at all.

The old lady had raised many children, but none of them had such chubby arms like hers that looked like lotus roots.

The family used to be poor, with little milk, and the children were all skinny. Little Zaozao, however, was different. Zhou Qiao had a good postpartum recovery, ate well, had plenty of milk, and combined with Daniu finding a wet nurse early on, how could the little girl not be chubby?

Little Zaozao was easy to care for and was curious about everything at this stage, as long as she could see the world outside, it didn’t matter who held her.

Shu Yu played with her for a while, then was shooed away by the old lady, “Alright Yu, don’t you have work at the workshop? Go ahead, I’ll just chat with your sister-in-law here and look after Little Zaozao.”

“Alright then.” Shu Yu let go, seeing the old lady holding Little Zaozao walk to the side to look at the door frame, then he walked over to Zhou Qiao and whispered, “Grandmother was sick yesterday, today she’s better, so I brought her out for a little relaxation. Please help take care of her, and remind her to rest.”

Zhou Qiao didn’t know the old lady was sick, and quickly nodded at Shu Yu’s words, “Don’t worry, I’m here.”

There were servants in the Manor, and Hua Xian was next door, so there was no worry.

Shu Yu just wanted to remind Zhou Qiao and soon bid farewell.

She got into the carriage, the sound of which quickly caught Little Zaozao’s attention, and the little girl stretched out her arms, wanting to pounce over, almost causing the old lady to lose her grip. Zhou Qiao seamlessly took over the child, turned her around, and coaxed her to look at the flower field instead.
