The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1458: Chapter 1458: It’s P.E. Class, Not a Lab Course

However, the next moment, Shu Yu furrowed her brows again, ”But, what can that land be used for? I can’t plant sunflowers there either.”

Sunflowers love sunlight, but that land is too close to the hills, blocking the sunlight.

This is also why Shu Yu didn’t directly buy the nearby fields when she wanted to expand the sunflower field, but instead chose a different location.

Meng Yunzheng had also thought about this issue.

”When the time comes, I’ll ask Eldest Uncle to take a look. If we don’t plant grain, maybe we can plant fruit trees or vegetables. Didn’t you say that students need a strong physique? We can add a physical fitness class. I think it’s a good idea. Once that land is prepared, we can let the students plant vegetables and fruit trees, making them self-sufficient, and it will add to the kitchen without needing to buy more.”

Shu Yu, ”...”

The physical fitness class she mentioned was referring to physical education, like running laps or doing push-ups or squats at school, not taking people down the mountain for practical lessons.

Moreover, if they plant two li of vegetables, it won’t just be adding to the academy’s kitchen; they wouldn’t need to buy any at all, would they?

”You don’t like the idea?” Meng Yunzheng asked.

Shu Yu immediately shook her head, her expression serious, ”I think it’s a great idea. This way, the students can understand the hardships of farming and avoid wasting food. Letting them experience life might even inspire their writing to be more authentic, right?”

Meng Yunzheng laughed, ”I think so too. Now then...”

Before he could finish speaking, Ah Ning’s voice came from outside, ”Second Sister, Second Sister, I’m back.”

Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng exchanged a glance and simultaneously looked toward the door.

The study door was open, and Ying Xi was standing outside. Shu Yu waved Ah Ning in, and the little girl’s eyes lit up as she ran in quickly.

Seeing Meng Yunzheng, she paused for a moment, then became even happier, ”Brother Meng.”

”Ah Ning is back? Where’s your master?”

”Master went to find Elder Brother-in-law to discuss opening the medical clinic,” Ah Ning climbed onto a chair and sat obediently, swinging her legs.

But she still had a bundle slung over her shoulder, looking quite humorous.

Shu Yu chuckled, went over to take the bundle down, ”Did you rush in to find your Second Sister without even putting down your bundle?”

Seeing the little girl’s forehead was sweaty, she quickly took out a handkerchief to wipe it and poured her a glass of water.

”In this hot weather, why did you run so fast?”

Ah Ning gulped down a few mouthfuls, sighed comfortably, ”Well, I have something important to tell you, so I rushed over.”

”Something important?” Shu Yu’s first thought was about the Tan Family’s search for the culprit.

Sure enough, Ah Ning said, ”After you left, Second Sister, Young Master Tan started thinking in the direction you suggested. He didn’t dare to think too hard, so after a few days, he finally recalled some things he thought were useful.”

Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng straightened their backs simultaneously, ”Come, have some more water, and we’ll take our time discussing who Young Master Tan suspects.”

Ah Ning took another sip of water with her help, then got off the chair and opened the bundle she brought.

Shu Yu looked at her actions in puzzlement, then saw Ah Ning take out several scrolls from the bundle.

”What is this?”

”Hehe, Master knew you both were concerned, so he found an excuse to persuade Young Master Tan to have the suspected culprits drawn.”

Shu Yu raised her eyebrows; Old Doctor Zhao was truly considerate.
