The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1456: Chapter 1456: Young Master Tan Has a Lead

Zhao Xi mentioned at the time that he wanted to open his own medical clinic and hoped they could help spread the word.

Jiang Yi immediately agreed.

He indeed made every effort, mentioning it to whoever he met.

Actually, it wasn’t just them; the Ding family, Ding Yuehua, and families like Lord Yu, who had a good relationship with Shu Yu, all knew that Shu Yu’s brother-in-law was a highly skilled doctor.

One person told another, and at least many in their circle knew Zhao Xi’s name.

Those who believed in him would come to him when they fell ill.

However, Shu Yu did not expect Jiang Yi to mention it in front of Doctor Xu, who was also a doctor.

Shu Yu was silent for a moment but still spoke the truth, ”My brother-in-law does indeed plan to open a medical clinic. He originally intended to start preparing after marrying my elder sister. But now that my sister is pregnant, he has temporarily put it on hold. I can help introduce you to my brother-in-law, but if you really can cooperate, I’m afraid my brother-in-law won’t have much energy.”

”That’s not a problem; whether it’s setting up the shop or purchasing medicines, I will handle the preparations. In any case, it can’t open immediately, so it will work out well after your sister gives birth. But later on, he will need to put more effort into managing it, as you know, I’m getting on in years.”

Shu Yu’s mouth twitched, thinking, you seem quite vigorous to me.

However, what Doctor Xu proposed might be a good option for Zhao Xi.

She had collaborated with Doctor Xu before and knew he was a person of good character, with clear and straightforward accounting.

Most commendably, when she was exiled, Doctor Xu gave the Lu family their share of the profits upfront, enabling them to have some comfort on their journey southwest.

After her return from exile, fearing she might be short on cash, he delivered the profits for that period ahead of time.

Just for these two reasons, Shu Yu considered Doctor Xu an honest man.

Therefore, after seeing Doctor Xu off, Shu Yu waited for Zhao Xi to return and discussed the matter with him.

Zhao Xi didn’t expect someone this experienced to approach him directly.

Without hesitation, he agreed.

Zhao Xi had no experience opening a medical clinic and initially considered working at another clinic to gain experience before starting his own. Besides this, he needed to find other doctors because handling it alone wouldn’t suffice.

However, he was unfamiliar with Jiangyuan County and couldn’t find a suitable candidate for a while.

Now it was perfect, with the experienced Doctor Xu joining, Zhao Xi was naturally delighted.

The next day, he went to find Doctor Xu to discuss the cooperation.

Their conversation went very smoothly, and being fellow doctors, they passionately discussed medical skills for so long that they forgot the passing hours.

After their discussion, Doctor Xu began preparing.

His original medical clinic had a good location, not far from Liufang Alley, and since it was his own property, there was no need to change the address.

However, the place was quite small, so after discussing with Zhao Xi, they bought the neighboring shop, connecting the two spaces, instantly making the clinic more spacious.

They hired Lu Erbai for the renovation. Lately, Lu Erbai’s business was nearly overwhelming, but luckily, with enough manpower at hand, he could still spare a few men by squeezing here and there.

Shu Yu took a look once and then didn’t pay much attention.

Because within a few days, Ah Ning and Old Doctor Zhao returned, bringing with them good news—Young Master Tan finally had some leads on the culprit.
