My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2350: Chapter 2184: The Process

Sometimes, even though the process is arduous, I believe the ending will be beautiful.

”Nai’er, this matter is Dad’s fault, but can you try to understand Dad from his perspective? Dad indeed neglected your mom during this time, but it wasn’t intentional. You know there have been many things happening at home.

Some things aren’t what Dad wanted to happen, but when faced with those things, we couldn’t avoid them. Everyone must bear some cost for their actions. Being like this now is truly difficult. Your grandparents coming back to this home is something we all hoped for, and we should let them live peacefully here. Instead of blaming them, you should consider their feelings, right?

Dad knows you’re hurting deeply inside because of Mom’s depression. It’s due to my negligence and lack of care for her, which led to this result. But it wasn’t intentional; I also wished for her to be healthy. Who knew, just because I didn’t pay attention to her, didn’t reach out to her, she ended up like this. I’m truly sorry for this!”

”Dad, you shouldn’t apologize to me for this. You should talk to Grandpa. I believe Grandpa will see things from Mom’s perspective. No one expected this would make Mom sick and hospitalized.

This result isn’t what we wanted. Everyone hopes each family member can live happily and healthily. But now, things have turned out this way, and the person you should apologize to is not me, but your grandpa. You should consider how much he cares about Mom because she worked so hard to bring me into this world. Why don’t you consider Mom’s struggles from his perspective? You always think from your own viewpoint, thinking only about what you wanted, and what you want is often built upon others’ pain for your happiness. Can you really feel peace of mind?”

Zhang Yichen felt uneasy about what his son said. He had no words to refute his son. This matter was indeed his fault. If it weren’t for his negligence and coldness toward his wife, things wouldn’t have turned out like this. If everything is indeed related to him, wouldn’t he be a notorious sinner? How should he explain this to Grandpa?

He deeply knew how much his grandpa cared about her—the granddaughter-in-law, and whether everyone in this family could live peacefully. But now things have turned complicated, his grandpa would never let it go easily. Maybe he really should sit down with Grandpa and explain the whole situation; otherwise, major problems would arise.

”Don’t worry, I will talk to my Grandpa about this properly. You don’t need to worry. This matter has nothing to do with you. It’s my fault for treating your mom this way, for her condition now. If you feel anything is inappropriate, you can come to me. You don’t need to speak to your grandparents; they don’t know about your mom’s condition due to this matter. Everything is uncertain because no one hoped for such a situation to happen to anyone in our family.”

”Dad, just relax and rest assured. You don’t need to worry; I won’t tell Grandpa or Grandma anything. I won’t ask or say anything. As for how to resolve this matter, it’s up to you. If resolving this matter leads to anyone feeling it’s unfair, then I’ll feel that there’s nothing we can do to solve it.”

Zhang Yichen knew his son was warning him; if he couldn’t restore things back to their original state, he would face punishment from Grandpa. He knew Grandpa’s personality well; Grandpa would never tolerate anyone in the family ending up like this. But now, everything was beyond his control, leaving him unable to foresee or rectify things, forcing him to endure the danger brought by his son. Only now did he realize how frightening his son was. If he had cared a bit more about his wife back then, would his son be leading him by the nose now, and not holding this against him as a father?

Zhang Ni said nothing, turned around, and left. He felt that he had said enough to his father today. He had never spoken this politely to anyone before. If these things weren’t related to his father, he would definitely knock the person down. But now, he realized that the issue was not something he could intervene in lightly; it was between his parents’ relationship. If their relationship could withstand any ordeal, then things wouldn’t be like this now. He couldn’t blame anyone, all the pain and suffering they must endure themselves. If, in the end, things became uncontrollable for them, then it must be their destined challenge.

Zhang Yichen suddenly felt like an incompetent husband; why is it that even when his wife fell ill, he didn’t know, and he was unwilling to care more about her life? If he had cared more, his wife wouldn’t be like this now. Everything happened because of his negligence, causing this outcome. What difference does it make between himself and his parents, apart from bringing harm to his family, nothing else. He thought he was strong, thought he could bring happiness and joy to everyone in the family, but now everything has just begun.

Having you by my side is the happiest, most blissful moment!
