Whether Zekrom resided in that forest—even Suicune, a Legendary Pokémon, did not know.

However, as a Legendary Pokémon, Zekrom would not shed its scales casually.

At the very least, this proved one thing—

Zekrom had once stayed in that forest.

Perhaps something had even happened there.

Otherwise, there was no reason for that scale to appear in such a place.

After all… it couldn’t be that the mysterious existence that transported Pokémon into this world just happened to bring along a fallen scale of Zekrom from the previous world, right?

That made no sense.

Chen Mo honestly wanted to head to that forest immediately to investigate.

But—

he still remembered why the Axew clan had left that place.

Later, Haxorus had explained:

Suicune had only foreseen that a disaster would occur in that forest.

But as for when—

there was no clear answer.

It could be a month, half a year… or even much longer.

That left Chen Mo in a dilemma.

On top of that—

certain details from Haxorus’s story about its former trainer had caught Chen Mo’s full attention.

For example—

the legends surrounding Zekrom.

In fact, this wasn’t the first time.

Back in Hongjingpo Forest, when Chen Mo had entered the ancient ruins through the Unown and saw the murals depicting Zekrom—

he had already been intrigued.

In his previous life—

he had never heard of any ”Arceus Kingdom.”

The most well-known official lore tied to Zekrom was the origin of the Unova region.

According to legend—

over two thousand years ago, Unova was founded by twin brothers and a single dragon.

However, when it came to ruling the kingdom, the twins developed different ideals.

The older brother pursued Truth.

The younger brother pursued Ideals.

Their conflicting beliefs created a rift.

The once inseparable brothers eventually fell into war.

During this conflict—

the dragon that had once followed them split apart due to their opposing ideals.

It became:

Reshiram, representing TruthZekrom, representing Ideals

It was said that the leftover husk of the original dragon formed another Pokémon—

Kyurem.

These three Legendary Pokémon, once one entity, became known as the Tao Trio.

From the stories Chen Mo knew—

Truth, Ideals, and the empty shell Kyurem were closely connected.

Especially Reshiram and Zekrom—their relationship was inseparable.

But in the stories told by Mr. Arceus and now by Haxorus—

only Zekrom appeared.

At most, there was mention of a ”shell” creature summoned by Zekrom, likely Kyurem.

As for Reshiram—

there was no mention at all.

Haxorus had even explicitly stated it had never heard of a Legendary Pokémon representing ”Truth.”

This filled Chen Mo with confusion.

Sure, in his previous life, there were theories about parallel worlds in the Pokémon universe—

and even Arceus being a multiversal existence.

But…

No matter how many parallel worlds there were—

for Reshiram, the embodiment of ”Truth,” to be completely absent from history…

was deeply abnormal.

Chen Mo wanted to learn more about that unknown Pokémon world from Haxorus.

After all, it was rare to find a Pokémon capable of such clear communication.

Suicune could do the same—

but as a Legendary Pokémon, it was always busy, and Chen Mo didn’t feel right pestering it with endless questions.

Unfortunately—

while Haxorus was willing to talk, its knowledge was limited.

It had only spent less than a hundred years traveling outside before returning to its clan.

And those events took place a thousand years ago.

At the time, it didn’t possess the intelligence or abilities it had now.

So what it could tell Chen Mo… was very limited.

”…There are more and more mysteries.”

The more he learned, the less he understood.

In fact—

he felt even more confused than at the beginning.

With a mind full of questions, Chen Mo finally left the cave.

As a side note—

perhaps because they had talked for so long, or perhaps because of Chen Mo’s identity as the ”Hero of Ideals,”

the aged Haxorus had originally intended to give him Zekrom’s scale.

But Chen Mo refused.

The scale resonated with the energy orb—

which meant it likely held some special properties.

But—

after hearing Haxorus’s story, Chen Mo couldn’t bring himself to take it away.

More importantly—

he already possessed Zekrom’s energy orb.

No matter how powerful the scale might be…

could it compare to that?

In the end—

the aged Haxorus carefully stored the scale away once more.

Then, it followed Chen Mo out of the cave.

Dragging its massive body, the aged Haxorus slowly arrived at the gathering place of the Axew.

The moment it appeared—

many Axew became excited.

One after another, they rushed toward it, crowding around their elder.

Because of this—

Ah Hui and the others, who had been surrounded by Axew the entire time, finally let out a sigh of relief and caught a break.

The livestream resumed.

Facing a screen full of question marks—

Chen Mo chose the classic strategy:

play dead.

Don’t ask.

If you ask—signal was bad in the cave.

Ask again—it’s classified.

While casually brushing off the chat—

Chen Mo was already thinking ahead.

How was he going to explain all this to Professor Zhou once he returned to Anping City?

At the same time—

he also needed to deal with the Axew clan.

Suicune hadn’t sent them here just to avoid danger.

They also had responsibilities—

just like the tasks it had assigned to Hydreigon in the Evergreen Forest.

Because of that—

the Axew clan would not be leaving Hongjingpo Forest anytime soon.

At the very least—

the aged Haxorus had already decided to make this place their new home.

But considering how friendly the Axew clan was toward humans—

even though Haxorus said it was trying to guide them—

Chen Mo still felt uneasy.

After all—

because of the livestream, their location had already been exposed.

If someone with ill intentions followed the route shown in the stream and came here—

things could turn very bad.

After thinking it over—

there was only one solution.

This matter…

had to be handled by the authorities.
