Pokémon Invasion: Explaining Pokémon to Save the World

Its stamina and life force were draining rapidly.

Hydreigon regretted everything.

It regretted coming to this miserable place to rest.

As the overlord of Evergreen Forest, Hydreigon had never suffered such humiliation in its life.

First, its sleep had been disturbed. Then several Pokémon far weaker than it had ganged up on it, leaving it battered and badly injured. And just when it was finally about to finish them off, an unfamiliar Pokémon had suddenly appeared.

Despair.

For Hydreigon, this new opponent was far beyond any Pokémon it had ever faced.

It filled Hydreigon with a crushing sense of hopelessness.

So this is the end…

Just as Hydreigon decided to stop struggling, a strange voice suddenly echoed in its mind.

In the distance, Chen Mo saw Hydreigon—whose eyes had already closed—suddenly open them again.

Its crimson gaze was filled with disbelief.

As if it were asking Suicune:

Are you serious!?

Soon, the ice imprisoning Hydreigon melted away at a visible speed.

Freed from the frost, Hydreigon raised all three heads and roared with joy. The pouring rain fell across its body, giving it the feeling of being reborn.

It glanced at Suicune with a hint of respect in its eyes.

Then, with a sweep of its tail, it shot straight into the sky—fleeing the area as if escaping for its life.

Chen Mo: ”…”

It felt like something very particular had just happened between Suicune and Hydreigon.

Just as Chen Mo wondered what Suicune had said, he suddenly noticed something strange.

Some raindrops had changed color.

They glowed faintly as they fell onto the wounded Pokémon around them.

”Ka-bu…”

At the edge of the crater, the ancient Pokémon Chen Mo had defeated earlier began to wake up one by one.

The crimson color in their eyes quickly faded under the rain’s influence, replaced by confused expressions.

Then—

they noticed Aerodactyl nearby, which had already awakened earlier through its own strength.

”Pidge!”

A clear cry sounded nearby.

Pidgeotto had also recovered under the rain’s healing effect and quickly flew toward Chen Mo.

As it passed Aerodactyl, the two Pokémon briefly locked eyes.

Then Aerodactyl glanced sideways at Suicune in the distance before turning its head away.

”RAAAH!”

It flapped its wings and took to the sky once more, roaring toward the ancient Pokémon below.

Under Aerodactyl’s overwhelming presence, the other ancient Pokémon hurriedly parted, forming a path leading into the underground cavern.

Without hesitation, Aerodactyl swooped down in a graceful spiral and flew directly back into the cave.

”It’s… going back in?”

Chen Mo couldn’t quite understand its behavior.

It could have just flown straight into the cave—why make all the other Pokémon clear a path first?

Was it just putting on a show?

But soon—

Chen Mo found out why.

From deep within the cavern came a terrifying roar.

Moments later, a large number of ancient Pokémon with crimson eyes rushed out of the crater as if fleeing for their lives.

The glowing raindrops fell upon them as well.

And once the rain touched them, the red madness in their eyes faded quickly.

Watching this, Chen Mo felt a profound shock in his heart.

Partly because of Aerodactyl’s actions.

But even more because of Suicune.

Using Insight Eye, Chen Mo discovered that the injuries on all nearby Pokémon were partially healed by the mysterious rain.

The ancient Pokémon, which had previously been in a frenzied state, had also returned to normal—though their collective weakness status still remained.

Even so—

that alone was already incredible.

Chen Mo almost wanted to ask:

Is this really Suicune?

In his previous life, he had only heard that Suicune could purify polluted water instantly.

But he had never heard of Suicune possessing the ability to heal Pokémon on such a large scale.

Life Dew?

It looked a bit like it—but the scale was enormous.

And could Suicune even learn that move?

Chen Mo felt his understanding crumble once again.

Although he had repeatedly reminded himself not to rely too heavily on knowledge from his previous life when it came to Legendary Pokémon—

Suicune’s appearance tonight had completely overturned his assumptions.

What was a legend?

This… was a legend.

Only beings like these could accomplish such things.

Chen Mo stared silently at the elegant blue-and-white figure.

Meanwhile, Aerodactyl flew out of the cavern again.

After confirming that the surrounding ancient Pokémon had all returned to normal, it called out toward Suicune in gratitude.

Suicune nodded gently.

Once it confirmed that the nearby Pokémon had mostly recovered, it raised its head slightly and released a beautiful, soft cry toward the sky.

The rain stopped.

The dark clouds dispersed.

Moonlight poured down upon the earth. Countless stars sparkled overhead, as if draping Suicune in a sacred cloak while it stood there singing to the heavens.

At that moment—

the livestream chat exploded.

[Oh my god, I love this Pokémon so much! Suicune is my favorite forever!]

[From the moment it appeared until now, the shock never stopped. This Pokémon is divine.]

[Staying up all night for this stream was worth it. I was nervous and scared earlier, but seeing this scene… it’s unforgettable.]

[Anyone who missed this live will regret it. Watching the replay won’t feel the same.]

[I used to think Mo-baby exaggerated when describing Legendary Pokémon… but after seeing Suicune, maybe he didn’t.]

[There probably aren’t many Legendary Pokémon stronger than Suicune. It perfectly matches everything I imagined Pokémon to be.]

Just as Chen Mo and Pikachu were still mesmerized by the sight of Suicune calming the storm—

a white figure walked past Chen Mo and slowly approached Suicune.

”Huh? Absol?”

Chen Mo blinked, noticing the unusual behavior.

He softly called Absol’s name.

But Absol didn’t respond.

It continued walking forward until it stopped directly before Suicune.

”Absol~”

The tone was affectionate—almost like a child seeking comfort.

Chen Mo had never heard Absol speak like that before.

Even more surprising—

Suicune’s expression softened.

It gently rubbed its crown against Absol’s head.

”What… is going on?”

Chen Mo stared at the scene, completely dumbfounded.
