150 Chapter 150 150: More and More Mysteries 2026-10-30

Just two or three months ago, places like forests were still seen as forbidden zones—areas humans shouldn’t step into.

But now—

People were actively approaching them.

Even thinking about capturing the mysterious creatures they once called ”monsters.”

This drastic shift in mindset made everyone, as the distant mountains came into view, feel as if they were dreaming.

The bus entered the forest park, rolling forward along a road now overgrown with weeds.

Soon—

They reached their first destination:

Hongjingpo’s Red Leaf Lake.

Some in the group had only recently moved to Anping.

When they saw the lake through the window, they couldn’t help but marvel.

”This looks even prettier than in the stream.”

”Didn’t Mo-bao say autumn and winter are the best here? I’ve decided—I might not travel like him, but I’ll come here often.”

”Red Leaf Lake… there should be a lot of Magikarp, right?”

”Honestly, Magikarp isn’t bad. Easy to raise, looks nice in a tank… and if it evolves—huge profit!”

”Yeah? And what if it evolves into Gyarados and slaps you to death with its tail?”

”...”

Seeing the growing excitement, Ah Hui smiled.

”Alright, everyone can get off—but be careful.”

”Stay together, don’t wander off, and try not to disturb the Pokémon here.”

Everyone agreed and stepped off the bus, both excited and slightly nervous.

Haoran followed—

But then noticed something.

Across the aisle, by the window—

Mo Yu was still asleep.

Head down, holding her phone, gently nodding.

”Did she fall asleep?”

As the only girl in the group, she had naturally received extra attention.

The large bag of berries beside her seat made that obvious.

Even though she arrived late, she ended up with the most berries.

Of course—

Her cheerful personality and good looks probably helped.

Haoran glanced outside.

The others had already rushed toward the lake.

Then back at Mo Yu.

He sighed.

These guys—

Just minutes ago, they were talking about ”protecting her.”

Now they’d all run off.

Not even a glance back.

Too real.

”Mo Yu.”

He called out.

She stirred.

”Mm…”

Then slowly lifted her head and yawned.

”Thanks… we’re here already?”

Her phone slipped from her hand and rolled forward.

Haoran picked it up for her.

A glance—

The lock screen showed Pichu holding a ketchup bottle, sitting in someone’s arms.

Clearly a screenshot from Chen Mo’s stream.

”Definitely from a livestream…”

Then—

A notification popped up.

Group name:

Anping No.1 High School, Class 6

Haoran froze.

He looked at her again.

Young face.

Still a bit childish.

”…You’re still in high school?”

”Hehe~”

She nodded.

”Yeah.”

”Isn’t today a school day?”

”I took leave~”

She blinked playfully.

”Can you keep it a secret?”

”...”

Haoran wasn’t one to meddle.

And she even showed him her approved leave request.

Ridiculous reason—but approved.

Kids these days…

Completely forgetting his own history of making absurd excuses to skip school, Haoran sighed internally.

When I get home, I need to educate Xiaocai properly…

”Why are you two still here?”

Ah Hui called out.

”Coming!”

Mo Yu raised her hand.

”I fell asleep—thanks to Haoran for waking me.”

”Oh, got it.”

Ah Hui grabbed his own phone from the seat.

”Let’s go.”

”I brought a camera today. Planning to take photos of Pokémon.”

”If I find something rare—definitely sending it to Mo-ge to show off!”

”...”

Meanwhile…

Chen Mo sat in his car.

Looking at his phone.

No answer.

”…Forget it.”

Hongjingpo Forest wasn’t particularly dangerous.

And based on what fans said—

Ah Hui’s group was staying within Chen Mo’s previous exploration area.

That area had relatively few dangerous Pokémon.

Pidgeotto had confirmed that as well.

Chen Mo knew—

Sooner or later, people would step into the wild.

To catch Pokémon.

He couldn’t stop them.

And couldn’t protect everyone.

There were billions of people.

That wasn’t realistic.

”These are my fans…”

”They’ve watched the streams…”

”With Ah Hui leading them…”

”It should be fine.”

He thought this while driving.

Then—

After a long pause—

He sighed.

”…I’ll still go take a look.”

Back at Red Leaf Lake

The team’s results—

Were disappointing.

After getting off the bus, everyone rushed to the lake.

”Magikarp looks dumb—it should be easy to catch.”

With that mindset, several people began their ”capture attempts.”

But reality—

Didn’t match expectations.

Magikarp were active.

Leaping out of the water constantly.

But—

They stayed mostly in the middle of the lake.

From the shore—

People could only watch.

They tossed bait.

But few came.

And even when they did—

They ate.

Then left.

With those blank, ”wise” eyes.

As if saying:

You’re trying to talk us into joining you? We don’t even understand you.

”…This isn’t right.”

One guy scratched his head.

”I followed Mo-bao’s method!”

”Food first, then persuasion—then they join you!”

”Why do they just eat and leave?!”

Laughter erupted.

”Bro, let me say this for Mo-bao—’Imitate me and you’ll fail.’”

”Yeah, he had Pichu helping him.”

”Also, maybe Magikarp just don’t understand us.”

”Mo-bao’s Magikarp does though.”

”That one’s different—way smarter.”

”Didn’t it even refuse to evolve?”

The guy sighed.

Then saw another Magikarp approach.

”…If I can’t catch it, I’ll at least touch it.”

He reached out—

Splash!

Magikarp jumped.

Water splashed directly into his face.

”….”

More laughter.

He sighed again.

But remembered Ah Hui’s words.

Did nothing reckless.

At that moment—

Everyone realized something:

Catching a Pokémon wasn’t easy.

”…We’re not seriously going back empty-handed, right?”

Someone muttered.

The mood dipped.

Ah Hui quickly tried to cheer them up.

But inside—

He understood.

Catching Pokémon required:

luckfatepersonal charmand ability

Back in Evergreen Forest—

Yi-ge easily gained Natu’s trust.

But now—

They couldn’t even get one Magikarp.

”Hopefully… someone succeeds today…”

Ah Hui thought quietly.

”Hey Hui-ge, can you take a group photo?”

”Sure.”

He raised the camera.

Everyone posed.

At that moment—

Several Magikarp leapt from the lake.

”Whoa!”

Some turned.

Some laughed.

Click.

The photo was taken.

”…Should we retake it?”

”No, this one’s great!”

”Yeah, send it to me later!”

”Alright, next stop—time to catch something!”

”Let’s follow Mo-bao’s route!”

”I think that flower field with Combee is good…”

”Maybe if we mention Mo-bao, they’ll trust us?”

”…Isn’t that kind of cheating?”
