Chen Mo and the others had no idea what was happening on the other side of Evergreen Forest.

At this moment, they were all lying inside warm sleeping bags, enjoying the happiness of a second round of sleep.

The morning livestream had been canceled.

Because of the sudden incident the night before, they had stayed up the entire night. And even before arriving yesterday, Chen Mo hadn’t slept well due to Haunter’s nightmare incident.

So not long after breakfast, once he finally relaxed, Chen Mo felt completely exhausted.

After discussing it with Ah Hui and Brother Yi, the three quickly agreed to rest a little longer and deal with everything else after waking up.

As for Chen Mo’s Pokémon, they weren’t very tired.

After all, Pokémon recover much faster than humans.

Still, Pikachu decided to sleep alongside Chen Mo.

But before going to sleep, it went to find Haunter.

”Pika~”

Seeing Pikachu’s pleading expression, Haunter fell into a dilemma.

Last time, using Haunter’s dream-training method, Pikachu had successfully learned Thunder Punch.

But Electabuzz still had another move—Discharge—that Pikachu hadn’t mastered yet.

So without Chen Mo accompanying the training, the reason Pikachu wanted to sleep now was mainly to rely on Haunter’s ability to continue dream training.

”Keh…”

Haunter felt troubled.

At first, when Pikachu was still Pichu and had just been defeated by Electabuzz, Haunter could easily guide Electabuzz into Pichu’s dreams as a nightmare.

But later, as Pichu gradually grew stronger, that effect started weakening.

Haunter had no choice but to strengthen the dream guidance with its own power.

That was also why Haunter had been drained so quickly before.

However…

Looking at Pikachu’s hopeful eyes—clearly saying ”Haunter, you’re so strong, you can do it, right?”—Haunter suddenly found it impossible to refuse.

”Keh!”

Haunter slapped its purple claw against its chest confidently, acting as if such a small task was nothing.

”Pika~!”

Pikachu jumped up happily and hugged Haunter tightly.

Although it would consume a lot of energy, seeing Pikachu like this made it all worth it for Haunter.

Just then—

Pikachu suddenly raised its little head again.

”Pika… pika pika?”

The moment Haunter heard that, it looked like it had been struck by lightning.

Pikachu said that since it had already evolved, Electabuzz’s previous strength no longer put much pressure on it.

So it wanted to ask whether Haunter could make Electabuzz stronger in the dream.

Haunter was silent for a long time.

It noticed disappointment flicker in Pikachu’s eyes.

”Keh! Keh keh!”

Strengthening one Electabuzz wasn’t impossible for it…

But—

When Haunter recalled the feeling of being completely drained last time, its gaze drifted past the tent toward the sleeping Chen Mo.

It needed to prepare in advance.

Although Chen Mo’s dreams were terrifying, successfully devouring them brought enormous rewards.

At least last time, after consuming Chen Mo’s dream, Haunter had felt unprecedented satisfaction.

I, Haunter, am getting serious now!

Not far away, Caterpie crawled out of Ah Hui’s tent and happened to see the scene.

A cheerful Pikachu.

A solemn-looking Haunter.

Caterpie tilted its head, not understanding what was happening.

But soon Pikachu and Haunter slipped into Chen Mo’s tent, and Caterpie quickly forgot about it.

It wriggled its body and crawled outside the canopy.

At this moment—

A fiery red sun had just risen beyond the distant mountains.

A gentle breeze brushed across Caterpie’s body, making it feel extremely comfortable.

Normally around this time, Ah Hui would take Caterpie out for a walk.

But today Ah Hui was resting.

Full of energy and unable to sleep, Caterpie had crawled out of the tent alone.

It wanted to find other Pokémon to play with.

But the two most cheerful ones—Pikachu and Haunter—had just entered the tent.

There were still two Pokémon outside the camp.

But they were both bird Pokémon, which Caterpie didn’t dare approach too closely.

Especially Pidgeotto, whose huge size naturally gave Caterpie an overwhelming sense of pressure.

Carefully watching Pidgeotto perched on a nearby tree, Caterpie slowly wandered around the campsite.

Before long, it began to feel hungry.

Although it had already eaten dozens of fresh leaves Ah Hui prepared before leaving the tent, for some reason it always seemed unable to stay full.

After just a little movement, hunger would return.

Ah Hui always told it that having a big appetite was a good thing.

The more Caterpie could eat, the faster it would grow.

Caterpie believed Ah Hui would never lie to it.

It wanted to eat more leaves, grow quickly, and soon have a pair of wings that could fly.

”Waa…”

Using the suction cups on its feet, Caterpie slowly climbed up a large tree.

Not far away, Pidgeotto slowly opened its eyes and watched Caterpie struggling step by step up the trunk.

Suddenly—

A gust of wind blew past.

Caterpie’s fragile body swayed with the wind.

Its suction cups slipped from the bark, and its body tipped backward—

It was about to fall.

But at that moment—

Another strong gust rose.

Caterpie, thinking it would definitely crash to the ground, opened its eyes—

Only to realize it was sitting on something soft and fluffy.

Looking down—

Caterpie nearly lost its soul in fright.

But Pidgeotto moved quickly.

With a swift upward turn, it shook Caterpie off onto a tree branch near where it had been climbing.

”Waa…?”

Caterpie tilted its head and looked at Pidgeotto.

But Pidgeotto had already returned to another tree and ignored Caterpie, closing its eyes again as if continuing its rest.

The scent of fresh leaves drifted to Caterpie’s nose.

Already starving, its thoughts were quickly overwhelmed by the aroma.

Its body began devouring the leaves greedily.

Normally, Caterpie would eat until its belly was completely full before thinking about anything else.

But this time—

As if sensing something, the hungry Caterpie reflexively raised its head.

In the distant blue sky—

A purple-blue figure and a pink figure flapped their beautiful butterfly-like wings, slowly flying toward a nearby flower field. 🦋✨
