Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The conference room was already filled with high-ranking members of the Battle Zone Africa; these powerful experts naturally had excellent composure, with few speaking loudly.

However, the whispers and chatter of hundreds of Demon Fiends created an incessant buzz, like the hum of flies.

Automatically filtering out this noise, Little White looked around and immediately spotted his Commander’s figure.

At this moment, the Bone Demon Commander was seated at the thirteenth position on the left side of the conference room. As the leader of the Skeleton Battalion’s Second Collective Army in the Demon Tribe’s Battle Zone Africa, his status and rank were quite distinguished; accordingly, his seating position was relatively forward.

Little White walked straight to the back of the Commander, greeted him simply, and then stood quietly to the side, waiting for the meeting to begin.

...

”What are you looking at?”

”Attending a meeting.”

”Here, have something to eat first.”

Akad placed a blackened piece of grilled meat into Wen Yu’s hand and then sat beside him. ”You’re not having a meeting with your soul pets, are you?”

Wen Yu shook his head, pondered for a moment and then asked in return, ”Do you want to see?”

”What?”

Akad asked in confusion, but before he could react, Wen Yu’s right hand was already covering his head.

Vast soul energy, under Wen Yu’s control, rushed into Akad’s mind. Before Akad could respond, the scene before him suddenly changed.

In his ears, Wen Yu’s teasing voice sounded.

”Do you see it? The meeting I was talking about.”

”Gulp.”

Akad swallowed heavily, then nodded.

”Keep watching, and don’t forget to tell Bai and Ye Nan about the intelligence they discuss later.”

”Okay.”

As he focused on the full table of powerful Demons, Akad became attentive, while Wen Yu casually whistled.

”Experiment successful...”

He silently muttered to himself, glanced at Akad, who was unknowingly used as a guinea pig, smiled and shook his head, then diverted his attention back to the Demons attending.

...

Little White astutely turned his head from side to side, taking in the entire conference room’s situation.

The overall power of the Demon Tribe in the Battle Zone Africa was indeed formidable. A simple observation revealed that although Wen Yu could not discern their physical fitness and general strength, from their spirit and the gleam in their eyes, any Demon with a seat had considerable strength.

Little White timely provided an explanation, ”Every commander of a collective army must meet a strength requirement; a non-Limit Breakthrough Level demon cannot hold the position. The two strongest in the Battle Zone Africa are the Chief Commanding Officer, Lord Koray, and the leader of the Elite Berserk Demon Corps, Lord Siegle.”

Wen Yu had seen Koray, this Ancient Demon, at the medal ceremony yesterday; although Koray seemed extraordinary, all Ancient Demons looked more or less the same to Wen Yu.

As for Siegle, he was an old acquaintance. Back at the New Hope Assembly Site, it was this Berserk Demon that caused Wen Yu significant trouble!

Regardless of how Wen Yu attacked, Siegle was unkillable. His Skill System and the Berserk Demon army he led truly broadened Wen Yu’s horizons.

Then, Little White moved his view again, looking at the main position and the first seat on the right side of the conference room, both presently empty.

”Neither of them have arrived yet.”

”It’s normal; in any meeting, the leaders are always the last to arrive.”

Wen Yu was unsurprised by this situation.

Following this, Wen Yu’s mental communication with Little White temporarily ceased as they awaited the meeting’s commencement.

...

After Wen Yu finished the grilled meat Akad had offered, he marveled at how Akad’s British culinary skills were truly extraordinary. Just at that moment, in Little White’s view, the conference room doors opened again, and the two magnates of the Demon Tribe’s Battle Zone Africa—Koray and Siegle—walked in shoulder to shoulder.

The previously buzzing conference room fell silent immediately. Koray and Siegle went straight to their seats and sat down.

Koray scanned the room, and after a moment, spoke in a deep voice.

”This month’s regular meeting begins. Now, let’s report on this month’s work.”

As soon as these words were spoken, Wen Yu sensed the impending length of this meeting.

As expected, Siegle, sitting to the right of Koray, spoke first, ”This month, the Elite Berserk Demon Corps autonomously recruited 1,123 personnel, leaving a shortfall of 44,263 for a full complement. Our forces are lacking; I need more support.”

”Yes, I will discuss this matter with Lord Legas.”

Replenishing the personnel of the Elite Berserk Demon Corps is no simple task. The offense and defense at the former New Hope Assembly Site seemed brief, but the actual cost the Demon Tribe paid to drive Wen Yu away is only known to the heavens.

After Siegle finished speaking, the Ancient Demon seated on the left spoke, ”The Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons has no major issues and is ready to deploy at any time.”

One Demon after another spoke in turn, and Wen Yu couldn’t help but yawn.

These reports from the commanders were long and boring. Although they contained much valuable intelligence, with Wen Yu’s current power and the Soul Puppet Legion accumulated over time, the so-called forces, war weapons, and future strategic orders and defense layouts were not particularly useful.

Until several hours later, once all the commanders had completed their reports, the meeting finally addressed the main agenda.

”There are two main topics for this meeting.”

Hearing this, Wen Yu forced himself to focus and listen carefully to Koray’s speech.

...

”The first concerns a small current problem in the Battle Zone Africa, the professionist named Akad.”

”Recently, Akad struck, and the Senegal Base was completely destroyed. So far, Akad has annihilated five of our large bases and nine medium-sized bases. This is my fault; I did not accurately assess Akad’s true strength.”

”To rectify this error, I have dispatched the Third Generation Seed of Destruction, Zero, to the front line to ambush Akad. Everyone, please look.”

With that, Koray gestured for those present to look toward the wall behind him, and then a light screen formed out of nowhere, projecting a map of the entire Battle Zone Africa.

”Based on the study by the intelligence and tactics departments, Akad’s movements have a traceable pattern. It’s estimated that, in three days, Akad will appear at this location.”

A red circle appeared on the map at the appropriate time.

Seeing this, Wen Yu squinted his eyes immediately, while Akad smacked his lips, ”These guys are impressive. According to our original plan, we indeed would head to that location in three days.”

Wen Yu acknowledged with a nod but said nothing more.

In Little White’s view, Koray spoke again.

”This time, I intend to achieve a swift and decisive victory. After today’s meeting, Siegle will lead the Elite Berserk Demon Corps to the target location to ambush Akad alongside Zero. Additionally, I also need troops equivalent to about three collective armies.”

”The Black Spirit Battalion, Ancient Barbarian Battalion, and Skeleton Battalion, you three are responsible for supporting this operation.”

”Yes!”

Upon hearing the order, the commanders of the three battalions immediately stood—a Soot Skin Demon Fiend, a bull demon, and the leader of the Skeleton Battalion.

”Take a close look; these are our opponents three days from now.”

Wen Yu reminded.

Akad gave a wicked smile, ”Our original plan was indeed to close the net in three days. This Koray seems to be on the same wavelength as you. But these guys… well, their strength slightly exceeds our expectations. Can you handle it?”

”There’s no need for you to worry about that.”
