Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The existence of the Netherworld allowed Victor to have an extremely strong grasp of the entire New Hope Assembly Place’s situation.

However, the newborn fluctuation of life was simply too fragile in Victor’s eyes, and what’s more, his perception showed that this life aura was growing stronger at a speed visible to the naked eye. Victor was afraid that directly Teleportationing next to that aura would interfere with its growth and transformation, causing some kind of unforeseeable consequence. So, after receiving Wen Yu’s order, Victor took Cyclops and honestly followed the poison-fog-filled cave down into the underground.

The concentration of poison fog in the cave was far from comparable to that outside. Both Dog Nose and cat nose were very sensitive; the moment they stepped into the cave, Victor and Cyclops were almost knocked out by that smell of perfume sprinkled on shit, and it took them quite a while to recover.

”Damn, it stinks like hell.”

Cyclops complained furiously, only to earn a disdainful side-eye from Victor.

”Cut the crap and get to work. The sooner we’re done, the sooner we get out. I can’t stand this shitty place much longer.”

The ”shitty place” Victor was talking about wasn’t just this foul underground cave, but the entire New Hope Assembly Place.

Anyone with half a brain could see that if you defend too long you’re bound to lose. No matter how powerful Wen Yu was, he couldn’t hold out too long under the Demon Tribe’s endless waves of attacks.

At this moment, Cyclops also had no mood to bicker with Victor. He immediately followed closely behind Victor and headed deeper into the cave.

...

This cave was originally used to house all the Insect Tribe inside the New Hope Assembly Place, and as for the number of bugs, there was really no need to say more—by sheer numbers alone, insects were the most numerous animals on the entire Earth.

So the cave in front of them was actually unimaginably spacious.

The power of the Netherworld was unleashed in full, and under the might of Esoteric Level skills, the entire underground world was laid bare before Victor’s eyes—every forked passage, every channel leading further down, and even the Ants below that were currently swallowing and spewing poison fog.

”Found it, it’s a huge swarm of bugs… tsk tsk, did we get the wrong target?”

The moment Victor ”saw” the Ants, a weird sense of dissonance rose up in him—some unmutated ones, and at most those mutant ants that were only Third-level at their strongest, had not been devoured clean by the poison fog. Instead, they were constantly inhaling and exhaling the poison fog, as if they were Absorbing some sort of essence from it. That was the abnormal part.

But even if Victor widened his eyes any further, he still didn’t spot any life form above Third-level—only Third-level. Even if the skills were terrifying, that still couldn’t possibly deserve the title of ”Earth’s strongest mutant life form,” right? If it really did, then where was Victor supposed to put his pride?

Yet just as Victor wanted to take a closer look, a sudden fluctuation of aura appeared out of nowhere and flashed across his senses—that was a life aura belonging to Third-level…

A Third-level aura was naturally weak as hell in Victor’s eyes, but in this entire cave, there was only a single Third-level Ant. And Victor could be sure that the newborn Third-level lifeform wasn’t that one, so this freshly born Third-level aura fluctuation was particularly eye-catching.

What was even stranger came right after.

As soon as that Third-level aura swept through, all the poison fog drifting in the cave suddenly boiled over, as if drawn by some immense gravity, surging one after another toward the location of the Ants deep below.

The scene that left Victor dumbfounded happened—the densely packed Ants in the depths underground seemed to be affected by some unknown influence and rapidly climbed onto the bodies of their nearby kin. In no time at all, nearly a hundred gigantic ant-spheres formed from countless Ants had taken shape, and then those spheres kept pulsing. In just moments, nearly a hundred winged Giant Ants, each about three meters long, appeared in the underground river.

The power surging from them clearly told Victor that each of these Giant Ants possessed a Third-level aura, along with nearly 1000 physique points!

Third-level Breakthrough Achievers…

What was even more terrifying was still to come.

Nearly a hundred Giant Ants once again crawled together, and then, the exact same scene played out again. Nearly a hundred oversized Ants swiftly clustered into a single mass, and in just moments, a terrifying Ant-shaped monster nearly 20 meters long was sprawled inside the underground cavern.

The gigantic monster was swallowing and spitting out vast amounts of poison fog, emanating the fluctuations of a Level 4 life form. Its physique had already reached nearly 5000 points!

In Victor’s eyes, 5000 physique points definitely belonged to the kind of existence he could wipe out with a wave of his hand. Yet this was a Super Ant lifeform born from a whole pile of low-level lives!

Grains of sand form a tower; ”people” gain strength in numbers. In this apocalypse where individual power seemed impossible to surpass, a huge crowd of weaklings merging into a single powerful expert could only be described as a miracle!

Watching this scene, the black cat silently swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

”Holy crap, looks like we’ve stumbled onto something outrageous…”

As Victor watched the miracle unfold, he unconsciously ignored the bloated-bellied Ant Queen lying off in a hidden corner, the one that had not merged into the Giant Ant…

...

”Whoa…”

Having just advanced to Third-level, Luo Luo couldn’t help but let out a gasp of amazement as she looked at the Super Ant in front of her, condensed from her own kin.

Even after advancing to Third-level and gaining a huge boost in intelligence, Luo Luo still couldn’t quite process what had just happened—like she’d just taken a nap, so how had she ended up like this…
