Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

With the death of the army’s highest-ranking officer, the entire legion inevitably fell into chaos.

This provided Akad with ample time to withdraw calmly.

As Little White tried his best to regroup and reorganize the formation of the entire Eighth Army, Akad and his subordinate blood slaves had long disappeared without a trace...

...

The impact of this battle was not significant, it was nothing more than the usual city-sieging and massacres Akad had been doing all along.

After more than two months of pursuit, such incidents had occurred countless times. To the Demon Tribe, it was really not a big deal.

And the death of the Eighth Army’s commander was not surprising to the Demon Tribe—even two Limit Breakthrough level Demon Fiends had died, so losing a commander was nothing noteworthy.

When Division Leader Little White reported the situation in Senegal extensively and meticulously, it took less than a day for the military department’s latest appointment to be issued.

Little White, the former Division Leader of the Ninth Division of the Eighth Army, was appointed as the new Commander of the Eighth Army. There was also an appointment ceremony held at the Central Operations Command Center.

...

When Little White arrived at the former New Hope Assembly Site, at the Demon Tribe’s Africa Battle Zone Central Command, he was greeted by the beaming Supreme Commander of the Second Collective Army of the Skeleton Battalion.

”Sir!”

Little White waved off the pro-soldiers he brought with him and hastily walked up to the imposing Bone Demon Supreme Commander.

The Commander looked at Little White, nodding with satisfaction, and as he led Little White deeper into the command center, he said appreciatively, ”Good child, you’ve done well.”

”It’s all because of your recognition, sir.”

Flattery is a useful tactic anywhere, in any regime, in any officialdom.

The Commander smiled without speaking, but his radiant expression was enough to prove his positive attitude towards Little White.

”Is the army organized?”

”There are no more issues. By the way, Commander, I hope to promote Naughty Two to Divisional Leader of the Ninth Division.”

”That’s up to you. As a newly appointed officer, you should support a couple of your trusted aides. I’ll give you three divisional leader quotas.”

”Thank you, sir.”

With just this exchange, three divisional leaders, affecting nearly a million troops! The influence of the higher-ups often far exceeds the imagination and estimation of the lower class.

No more was spoken on this matter, and the Commander turned to another topic.

”By the way, this time, you’re called here nominally to participate in the appointment ceremony of the Central Command, but in fact, it’s to conduct a comprehensive examination on you, to ensure your personal safety and reliability.”

This so-called examination was just a means by the Demon Tribe to counter skills like Charm and transformation. A position of real power like a commander naturally requires ensuring the safety of personnel used.

Little White had anticipated this matter, but the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, being such a high-level skill, is truly not something that can simply be detected. Moreover, as a third-category Perfect Resurrection creation, Little White’s existence had no flaws at all!

So, Little White just lightly nodded, ”It’s the necessary duty.”

Seeing Little White’s calm face, the Commander’s expression of satisfaction deepened. After pondering for a while, he finally disclosed the true purpose of personally receiving Little White this time.

”Thus, due to the recent deaths of Augustus and Pellegrino, there are two vacancies in the Supreme Council. This time, I’m planning to elevate you to a higher position. Tomorrow, when the Supreme Council convenes, you can follow beside me, to broaden your horizons and see the major figures of our Africa Battle Zone.”

Upon hearing this, a grateful smile appeared on Little White’s face as he lowered his head respectfully towards the Commander and said, ”Thank you for the promotion, sir!”

”Ah, we are one of our own, no mention of promotion. However, you must be aware, there are 8 preliminary candidates this time, all originally first-rate figures from various army divisions. To ascend, you still need to try hard.”

”Yes, sir.”

...

The so-called examination exceeded Little White’s expectations in strictness, with a full set of processes such as genetic identification, blood tests, hypnosis, and soul detection, taking nearly 12 hours in total.

As expected, they found nothing at all.

As a third type of Soul Abiogenetic Creation, Little White is indistinguishable from the original Bone Demon, apart from the mental connection with Wen Yu in the mind, there was really nothing questionable. And with Wen Yu’s own soul strength, dealing with an examination is more than sufficient.

Afterwards, Little White quickly ate something and hurriedly dealt with the so-called appointment ceremony—it was nothing more than the head of the Africa Battle Zone, an Ancient Demon named Koray, awarding a medal and issuing new military credentials to Little White.

The whole process didn’t even have many spectators...

The busy day passed like this, and early the next morning, when the trusted aide of the Skeleton Battalion Commander knocked on the door to escort Little White to the Africa Battle Zone Supreme Council, Little White only then connected with Wen Yu’s mental link.

”Master, it’s about to start.”

”Mm, clear your mind, and share your sight with me.”

”Yes.”

With Little White opening up his Soul World to Wen Yu, Wen Yu’s will flowed through the mental link into Little White’s mind.

As Wen Yu opened his eyes again, two scenes instantly appeared in his vision.

One was the perspective of Wen Yu’s main body—in a pitch-dark cave, not far away, Akad was awkwardly grilling meat with a face covered in ash.

The other was the real-time view of Little White—in this moment, Little White was following behind a Bone Demon, walking through a rough-styled steel corridor.

The voice of the Bone Demon ahead reached the ear: ”Commander, the upcoming meeting is our Africa Battle Zone’s monthly routine meeting, the content of the meeting is all confidential information, I hope that after the meeting you won’t spread it outside.”

Little White’s voice sounded: ”Understood.”

At this moment, Wen Yu’s will hovered in Little White’s mind, and everything Little White saw, heard, and even thought was under Wen Yu’s control.

In the past two months, Wen Yu hadn’t been idle, this was the new harvest during this time—not only could he use this small technique on each Soul Puppet but also, through deeper research on the soul, Wen Yu could even apply it to his own soul pet.

Observing the Demon Clan Central Command from Little White’s perspective, and listening to Little White’s report about the military deployment of the Central Command to himself, it didn’t take long for the Bone Demon to lead Little White to the door of a large conference room.

In front of the door, two Peak Level 6 Ancient Demons were responsible for guarding, enough to prove the level of this meeting.

”Commander, this is as far as I take you. Once inside, you should be able to find Commander Liu.”

”Thank you.”

After Little White expressed his gratitude respectfully, the Bone Demon guide turned to leave, while Little White, taking out the newly obtained military credentials from yesterday to indicate his identity to the guards, directly entered the conference room.

As soon as the door opened, the noise rushed in to greet him.
