Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The pattern of the Heaven-covering Robe is exactly the same as the original, except for the addition of two intricate patterns.

The two glowing patterns, if not closely observed, are identical to the material of the Heaven-covering Robe. At first glance, there is nothing special about them, but only Wen Yu understands the effort he spent for these seemingly simple patterns.

The most direct reflection is the Creation Energy Wen Yu currently has at his disposal.

Compared to the collection of Creation Energy that shone like a small Sun at the beginning, the Creation Energy Wen Yu now possesses is like a candle, and creating a Soul Puppet might exhaust this limited amount of Creation Energy completely.

Fortunately, the harvest is substantial.

...

The Heaven-covering Robe was originally transformed from the Heaven-covering Banner through the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill. When Wen Yu thought about researching how the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill could transform artifacts, the first thing that came to mind was naturally the Heaven-covering Robe.

The tools Wen Yu has at hand are not many, but not few either. Overall, many items have strong power, but indeed seem somewhat impractical for Wen Yu.

For example - the Book of Black.

Two remnant chapters of the Book of Black are still in Wen Yu’s space ring. Ever since obtaining the Book of Black, Wen Yu hasn’t really used this artifact, but Wen Yu’s rare use doesn’t mean the artifact itself isn’t strong. It’s just that the function of the Book of Black has a somewhat embarrassing conflict with Wen Yu’s Skill System.

Book of Black (Summoning Chapter): Absorb soul, souls will automatically generate unlimited Soul Puppets within the Book of Black. Soul Puppets rely on souls as food and advance upon them. When the user activates the Book of Black, Soul Puppets will directly appear around the user, occupying nearby life or more complete corpses to control target units. The level of control depends on the level of the Soul Puppet.

This Soul Puppet is different from the Soul Puppets generated by the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill. Strictly speaking, the Soul Puppet created by the Book of Black is the one that is officially recognized by the professionist system, yet regarding names and such... Wen Yu has never even faced the Book of Black (Summoning Chapter), let alone a term on it?

The key lies in the function and effect of this artifact.

Absorb soul.

Just the four words ”absorb soul” are enough to kick the Book of Black (Summoning Chapter) out of the battle sequence! If souls are absorbed by it, where can Wen Yu’s Soul Battlefield absorb souls? How can the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill generate Creation Energy?

Perhaps the function of the Book of Black (Summoning Chapter) is not weak, but the downside of competing for resources with his own skills is enough for Wen Yu to banish it.

Let’s take a look at the other chapter of the Book of Black.

Book of Black (Curse Chapter, remnant): Absorb soul, unleash dark power. This page is the upper chapter of the Book of Black’s Curse Chapter, so the power is greatly weakened.

Current power, when absorbing sufficient soul power, the spell recorded in the Book of Black will occur, current effectiveness is:

Suppression: Reduce the speed of all surrounding creatures by ten percent.

Weakening: Reduce the strength of all surrounding creatures by ten percent.

Damage Amplification: Lower the defensive power of all surrounding creatures.

Effect duration is 10 minutes, effect area is within a hundred meters around the user, the curse ignores levels, and the spell is triggered by the user.

Another thing comparable to being impractical.

Aside from the unforgivable weakness of absorbing soul power, Wen Yu can completely simulate the curses mentioned in the Book of Black (Summoning Chapter) using Pitch-dark Divine Light.

Overall, it’s not that Wen Yu ignores the Book of Black artifact, but rather that this artifact holds no use for him.

From the descriptions of the two Book of Black chapters, one can see that the Book of Black is heavily linked to the Spirit-based ability system. All effects of the Book of Black are activated by soul power.

For someone with a Spirit-based profession, the existence of the Book of Black might be indispensable, but for Wen Yu, whose core skills are Soul Battlefield and Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, using the Book of Black is completely disadvantageous.

So, when Wen Yu saw the two chapters of the Book of Black in the space ring, he immediately decided to cut into the Book of Black and use it as a test subject for researching the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill.

...

After lengthy experimentation and a vast consumption of Creation Energy, Wen Yu finally successfully completed the transformation of the artifact.

Now the two black patterns on the Heaven-covering Robe are precisely the representation of the two chapters of the Book of Black. Correspondingly, the abilities of the Book of Black have been dismantled and integrated into the attributes of the Heaven-covering Robe.

The effect made Wen Yu very satisfied.

Heaven-covering Robe (Species-specific Esoteric Level item) (Soul-Armored) (prototype originated from Heaven-covering Banner, transformed by Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill): Through the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill transformation, the Heaven-covering Robe not only retains the original power of the Heaven-covering Banner but also adds new attributes.

Original attributes of Heaven-covering Banner:

One, Celestial Secrets Occlusion: The owner of the Heaven-covering Banner cannot be viewed by time-based or foresight abilities to see past or future, nor can they be detected by any time-based or foresight abilities to locate the present position!

Two, Aura Concealment: The owner of the Heaven-covering Banner cannot be detected by any perception-based abilities or techniques, only by traditional five-sense perception.

Three, Concealment: The Heaven-covering Banner can actively assist the user in concealing their form, releasing Absolute Invisibility. Absolute Invisibility: Theoretically cannot be noticed by outsiders! Additionally, it blocks all external observable factors caused by actions like walking and running.
