Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Four, Overturning Heaven and Earth: The Heaven-covering Banner possesses the power to seize heaven’s secrets and overturn heaven and earth! The user of the Heaven-covering Banner, empowered by its might, has a fifty percent increase in skill power, and within a kilometer of the banner, an independent space is formed where the user can freely manipulate any laws within!

Attributes added post-creation to the Heaven-covering Robe:

One, Absolute Defense: The Heaven-covering Robe reduces physical attacks by thirty percent, and energy attacks by eighty percent.

Two, Soul Shield: The Heaven-covering Robe reduces soul attacks and illusionary skill effects by ninety percent.

Three, Soul Terrorize: The Heaven-covering Robe carries a strong aura, passively boosting the user’s momentum and prestige, intimidating others.

Four, Soul Protection: When the owner of the Heaven-covering Robe is injured, the robe accelerates the recovery speed of the owner’s injuries, effectively doubling this effect for soul-related injuries.

After Wen Yu integrated the abilities of the Book of Black into the Heaven-covering Robe, the original attributes of the Heaven-covering Banner remained unchanged, but two additional attributes appeared out of nowhere.

Five: Deepening Curse: When the owner of the Heaven-covering Robe unleashes a curse, the robe automatically enhances the curse’s power, doubling the curse’s effect.

A straightforward ability, extracted from the Book of Black (Curse Chapter, Fragment).

Six: Call to Arms: Active ability, actively released, awakes relatively intact corpses around the user to fight for the host. The number of controllable corpses and the effective range depend on the host’s physical constitution. Using Call to Arms expends the host’s stamina.

This ability, even if slightly stronger than Deepening Curse, is only moderately potent, extracted from the Book of Black (Summoning Chapter).

After more than ten days of research, Wen Yu erased the soul absorption property of the Book of Black using Creation Energy and made a series of minor adjustments to the item’s attributes. Finally, without damaging the core of the Book of Black, it was adjusted into a somewhat useful tool for himself, and then item fusion was conducted.

Two volumes of the Book of Black became two skills on the Heaven-covering Robe.

From the description of the two abilities, Wen Yu could also see that the existence of the Book of Black should be a specialized tool for a profession similar to ”Necromancer” — resurrection of the dead, imposing curses, and possibly having wide-range positive empowerment.

It can’t be said to be weak, but rather that the Book of Black encountered an unappreciative master, who completely disregarded using it. Now, this master even obliterated the existence of the Book of Black, turning it into nourishment to strengthen other tools.

...

Integrating the Book of Black into the Heaven-covering Robe was merely a part of the experiment.

From a certain perspective, items bear some resemblance to skills. Since Wen Yu could use Creation Energy to alter the attributes of items, he could also use Creation Energy to alter the attributes of skills.

Regarding this, Wen Yu already had an inkling, but he faced a particularly awkward predicament now — insufficient Creation Energy.

Until Little White completely left the mountainside, and the vast Soul Experiment Lab was left with only Wen Yu, he sat back in his chair, closed his eyes, and summarized his recent research on Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill.

Regarding Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, there are several issues Wen Yu still needs to address.

One: The soul recreation of Faceless and Almighty Demon Vine!

The importance of this point speaks for itself. Faceless, theoretically the strongest entity Wen Yu holds, has powers beyond exaggeration after perfectly duplicating Tang Haofei. Due to the lack of a soul, Faceless has always been confined by Wen Yu’s side, unable to fully unleash the power of Perfect Duplication (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Ability), and the Almighty Demon Vine is the same. Once both possess souls and can independently solve issues, the enhancement to Wen Yu’s combat capability can’t be overstated.

Wen Yu can even envision Faceless’ terror once it has a soul — infiltration, assassination, and once exposed, it duplicates Tang Haofei to launch a full-scale attack…

By then, besides not being able to use resurrection-type abilities, Faceless’ Perfect Duplication would truly live up to the term ’perfect’.

Two: On the fusion and creation of items!

Since Wen Yu could modify and fuse the Heaven-covering Robe, he naturally can transform more things, such as Palpitation and Mad Medley or Soul Shattering Mirror. Wen Yu can even craft corresponding Soul-Armored for his soul pets to comprehensively strengthen their combat prowess.

Three: On skills!

Wen Yu has already begun exploring the modification of skills, and even has prospects of creating entirely new skills using Creation Energy. It proves that professionists can manufacture skills and items themselves. Once sufficient Creation Energy is available, Wen Yu can even mass-produce lower-level skills to provide unimaginable empowerment and assistance to Luo Luo’s Ant Tribe army. Wen Yu can even adjust his skills again — such as finetuning Pitch-dark Divine Light, integrating Pitch-dark Dominator into it, and possibly removing the prerequisite skill requirement for Pitch-dark Divine Light.

A small thought, but it doesn’t mean it can’t succeed. Once accomplished, Wen Yu will vacate two skill slots, the impact of which speaks volumes.

However, all three points above share a common premise — Creation Energy!

To broaden thought, research, and explore more applications of Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, Creation Energy is an unavoidable topic — creating Soul Puppets is only the lowest level of application of Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill. Once Wen Yu wants to use Creation Energy to alter systems related to the professionist framework, the consumption of Creation Energy can be described with astronomical figures!

This inevitably leads to another thought for Wen Yu — concerning the strength of the professionist framework!

Even if Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill possesses abilities akin to reviving dead flesh, granting souls and creating new races, it remains merely a part of the professionist framework. The seemingly powerful ability to create Soul Puppets that form races, the life created isn’t truly integrated within the professionist framework — they don’t strictly hold any grades.

In terms of combat power alone, without skills, Soul Puppets fall short compared to beings existing under the professionist framework.

Once involving the professionist framework — such as item modification or skill enhancement, generating souls within a host with skills, the use of Creation Energy substantially escalates.

”Above all else…”

This thought involuntarily emerged for Wen Yu.

Immediately afterward, Wen Yu swiftly cast this tiny thought aside — as the saying goes, one’s position decides one’s mindset. Wen Yu’s current power and status doesn’t support contemplating such complex issues yet.

The primary problem Wen Yu faces still lies in Creation Energy.

Thus, the matter returns to the starting point…

”Looks like it still involves fighting, even after days of research, I can’t escape the scope of a Martial Artist.”

”Well then, I hereby declare, transformation failed…”

Wen Yu stood up with a bitter smile, his eyes nonetheless brimmed with a kind of eager brilliance.

Nearly two months of research had already stifled Wen Yu, the ”pure Martial Artist.”

Spiritual Fluctuation spread far away, with Wen Yu’s will, the whole area instantly came ”alive.”

The mountain body trembled, as it was slowly risen by the Mountain Kui amidst the sudden earthquake.

The surrounding plants and trees gradually swayed, tree after tree sprung up from the ground.

River water flooded back; shimmering water elements emerged from beneath the riverbed, neatly aligning on the riverbank.

The wind roared incessantly, air cyclones drifted in the air, stirring waves of whistles.

And at the top of the Mountain Kui, stood a bizarre humanoid creature over three meters tall, alabaster all over, bearing two pure white wings, naked yet without any sexual characteristics, standing upright with eyes toward the west, a greedy gleam madly surging in its eyes.

Perceiving the changes outside, a sudden surge of pride arose in Wen Yu’s heart.

”This, is my army!”
