Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Bang! Bang bang!”

The sound of one long and two short gunshots announced the end of the battle. With an expressionless face, Wen Yu retracted Palpitation and Mad Medley, looked at the ground full of Demon Clan Pursuers’ corpses, and turned to continue heading north.

North, Egypt, the place connecting Africa and the Asian continent.

Leaving the New Hope Assembly Site, it hadn’t been a few hours in total, and the pursuers kept coming along the way. However, in Wen Yu’s eyes, these pursuers were undoubtedly just some weaklings. Without any restraints, Wen Yu unleashed his powers and easily cleaned up these small fries.

Now, those lying on the ground were the last wave of pursuers within his perception range. By now, Wen Yu could tell that the newly appointed Level 6 commander from the Demon Tribe didn’t really put much effort into blocking him—it’s likely they knew it was impossible to capture him, and fighting would incur too much loss. So, they casually let things go, sending a couple of pursuers just to go through the motions.

The two sides quickly reached an understanding, ’everyone was pleased’...

His Perception Ability swept like wind over his shoulders, and sensing that the Demon Tribe figures had vanished completely, Wen Yu dispelled the Pitch-dark Demon Lord state, then transformed into a Black Light that rushed to the sky.

He stopped only when reaching the Egyptian border.

…

”This is the farthest I’ll go.”

Standing by the Suez Canal, Wen Yu reopened the Netherworld and Soul Realm, releasing the remaining defeated soldiers from New Hope Assembly Site. After they had just celebrated escaping the demonic tide, he decisively poured cold water over them.

The commotion gradually quieted down, until a red wolf hesitantly scuttled to Wen Yu’s side, shyly asking like a maiden, ”Um, Lord Wen Yu, are you leaving?”

Wen Yu nodded in response.

”Where should we... in this unfamiliar place, where should we go?”

Those led by Ray were professionists over Level 4, allowing them to secure military support and usage even in the Eternal Sky City. In fact, Ray’s next plan is to go to the Eternal Sky City to find Friday and his brother.

But for the mutant beasts, migrating across continents means breaking existing territorial divisions, inevitably touching local mutant beasts’ interests, and definitely leading to battles. Being outsiders, they would likely be suppressed and excluded by the local Asian continent’s mutant beasts despite their strength.

For them, the battle might just be beginning.

As for these matters...

Wen Yu patted the red wolf’s body, expressionless, saying, ”These matters have nothing to do with me...”

Halfway through his words, Wen Yu suddenly shut his mouth, as a flash of ideas in his mind quickly gave birth to another thought.

”These, I will naturally get them sorted for you!”

With great righteousness, Wen Yu patted his chest, promising to take care of it himself, and then signaled to his soul pets that it was time for a meeting, ignoring the ecstatic cheers from the fierce mutant beasts.

…

Casually setting up a Pitch-dark Barrier to insulate external perception, Wen Yu sat on a stone, looking at all his soul pets.

Cyclops, Star, Victor, and the new Sixth Soul—Luo Luo.

Seeing the original trio distracted and Luo Luo looking worried and bewildered, Wen Yu thought for a while before speaking.

”This trip to Africa, although it doesn’t change the fact of being chased away, overall we have done everything we needed to, and our aim in coming here has been achieved.”

Having secured Luo Luo, Wen Yu’s trip to Africa had been satisfactory.

”Next, this is my plan.”

Wen Yu looked at his four soul pets, then turned his gaze to Victor and Luo Luo.

”Victor, I want you to take Luo Luo around the world, to gather the Ant Tribe, and strive to expand Luo Luo’s ant colony. What do you think?”

After briefly contemplating, Victor nodded.

Luo Luo’s strength mainly relies on the ant colony’s size, and after the devastation by the Plague in Africa, only a few Ant Tribe remain. To enhance Luo Luo’s strength, their hope lies in the Ant Tribe from other continents. Given Victor’s strength, he can go anywhere in the world, and combined with Victor’s high intelligence and emotional quotient, Wen Yu is very assured about Victor taking Luo Luo around the world.

Afterward, Wen Yu turned his gaze to Cyclops and Star.

”You two, I’ll give you a holiday this time. The mutant beasts outside, you’ll temporarily lead them to secure a territory, then you can go wherever you want, and if you want to enjoy being a king and boss with them, it’s also fine, what do you think?”

After weighing it for a moment, Cyclops and Star immediately nodded in agreement with Wen Yu’s arrangement—especially Cyclops, whose wicked little eye darted around, plotting some mischief.

In fact, back in India, Wen Yu realized his soul pet arrangement was flawed—with the current power of his soul pets, Wen Yu could let them independently manage matters. With the Soul Realm space connection, Wen Yu had no concerns about any crises arising. Thus, always keeping soul pets by his side was a huge waste of their combat power!

For instance, helping Luo Luo to expand its colony—Victor alone is enough to accomplish this task, and Cyclops’ Great Feast conflicts with the Almighty Demon Vine over Demon Beast Corpses; rather than competing for limited Demon Beast Corpses, it would be better to let Cyclops go out and forage for itself.
