Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Like self-numbing as if addicted to drugs, Luo Luo wandered in the green river water, at least for the moment finding happiness there.

The happiness lasted until it died, without any pain.

The plague erupted instantly, melting Luo Luo’s flesh completely within seconds, the plague’s numbing interference on the nerves made Luo Luo not receive the sensation of ’pain’ at all.

Just like that, Luo Luo died, clean and neat, without leaving a trace...

Normally, death signifies the end, for example, for normal life forms, the destruction of the body means the complete disappearance of consciousness, the extinguishing of the soul fire, but sometimes, under the intervention of a great and mysterious power, death is truly just the beginning!

For instance, once Victor...

And now, Luo Luo.

At the moment of corporeal death, Luo Luo’s consciousness vanished instantly, leaving only a dim soul fire, floating in place in an invisible form, yet without the protection of a body, it flickered like a candle in a gale—soon, this mark signifying Luo Luo’s existence would disappear automatically, transforming into strands of soul fragments, gradually dispersing in the air, or being absorbed and utilized by some expert proficient in soul power.

But all this doesn’t concern Luo Luo—for a low-level mutant beast like Luo Luo, death truly means the end!

Watching as the soul fire, symbolizing life, grew weaker and weaker, its soul fluctuations increasingly feeble, until at a certain moment, a barely noticeable wave of power quickly spread from the depths of Earth’s nucleus, sweeping across the African continent like a radio wave!

The mysterious power instantly swept across Luo Luo’s remnant soul fire, then paused slightly, as if pondering, hesitating.

Finally, a dim light slowly descended above Luo Luo’s soul fire.

The fragile soul fire began to grow stronger, then, the strands of soul fragments scattered around—those soul fragments belonging to the already deceased Ant Tribe—started to slowly coalesce toward this cluster of soul fire.

After completing this, the mysterious power continued to sweep further afield, where it passed, the breeze stirred waves, the next moment, the wind direction changed imperceptibly...

...

The wind swirling across the African continent began to shift direction under the mysterious and great power, swirling into seemingly random cyclones, which enveloped the plague fog in the air, gradually forming a gentle yet formidable wind barrier.

The naturally formed cyclones unleashed tremendous strength from nature, firmly sealing off the spread of the toxic fog!

Simultaneously, near the coastline of the African continent, waves began to swell, and amidst the raging depths, members of the Sea King Tribe appeared faintly, exercising the authority of the Son of the Sea, controlling the waves, condensing them into counterflows at various estuaries in Africa, then transforming the counterflows into indestructible ice, blocking the plague river water from reaching the ocean.

This was Earth’s counterattack.

And sealing off the channels for the plague’s outward spread was merely the first step of Earth’s will counterattack!

...

Near the cave where the Third Generation Seed of Plague had died.

Dense green mist floated around in the air, the land was lifeless, trees withered, being the source of disaster, the starting point of everything exploding, the disaster here was evidently far more severe than the New Hope Assembly Place!

The dry, lifeless land was silent, until a mysterious power swept over, then a vast, majestic will set its sights on this region.

A vast will, akin to a magnetic field, scanned back and forth nearby incessantly, as if searching for something, for a long moment, this will’s attention concentrated on a cluster of dried, withered weeds.

The weeds were quite ordinary, merely desert shrubs seen everywhere; already weathered and unyielding, the plague’s erosion left it more desolate—it was even shapeless, limp like a pile of mud.

The breeze brushed past, as if bringing a gentle sigh, then suddenly, an imperceptible mysterious power rose from the earth!

This power flowed into the weeds’ interior, instantly merging with the remains of the weeds, and a peculiar, mysterious reaction seemed to occur between them, the muddy weeds visibly turned green, then the branches healed, grew rapidly larger, in less than a minute, this cluster of weeds, which had lost all signs of life, had grown nearly half a meter high!

The spirit of life began recovering, under the sun’s illumination, the weeds instinctively engaged in photosynthesis.

The plant, absorbing light energy, turned carbon dioxide and water into organic matter and oxygen, this was the process of photosynthesis, yet under the influence of mysterious power, the resurrected weeds absorbed something extra—from the plague virus in the air.

The virus merged into the weeds’ body, yet brought no harm, on the contrary, the plague toxin spread by the Third Generation Seed of Plague seemed to become a catalyst for the weeds’ growth, in a breath, the weeds inhaled the virus, exhaled large amounts of oxygen and substances beneficial to life’s growth, meanwhile, the weeds grew rapidly at an eye-popping speed.

Ten minutes later, the originally dead weeds grew increasingly lush, blossoming white flowers in no time, as the petals unfolded and bloomed, a gust of wind swept over, blowing the pollen far and wide.

Noticing this scene, the will in the silence drifted further away.

...

Somewhere on the African continent.

A strong antelope lay on the ground, near death, surrounded by green toxic fog and several shattered demon beast corpses.

As a Level 4 mutant beast, the antelope would not be infected by the plague, however, now across the African continent, there was not only the plague but also omnipresent demon fiends.

This antelope living alone in the wild happened to encounter a small Demon Patrol Squad when the plague spread, after a fierce battle, although the antelope shredded the demon beasts to pieces, it was gravely wounded itself.

As the light in the antelope’s eyes gradually dimmed, its life’s breath faded away, tremendous strength erupted instantly from beneath where the antelope lay, rushing directly into the antelope’s body.

The heavily injured antelope shuddered, wounds healed rapidly under the effect of the mysterious power, simultaneously, the antelope’s life force grew increasingly robust, its aura stronger and stronger, from Level 4 to Level 5, from Level 5 to Level 6…

At the instant the antelope stood straight up from the ground, a Peak Level 6 divine beast species was formed!

The newly healed divine beast species’ eyes shimmered with wisdom, it closed its eyes, sensing the mission given by Earth mother, after a while, the antelope opened its eyes.

Its chest quickly expanded, immense suction erupted from the divine beast species’ mouth, in a moment, the air around, along with the viruses in the air, was all absorbed by the antelope completely.

Plague viruses spread and expanded within the chest cavity, yet did not affect the Peak Level 6 divine beast species in the slightest, then, the light of skill flickered.

The plague inside the body, under the skill’s effect, seemed as obedient as domesticated dogs, slowly merging into the cells of the antelope’s body, a pale green glow slowly rose on the antelope’s skin.

After finishing all this, the antelope took another breath...

Like a demon, the antelope constantly inhaled and exhaled the essence of the sun and moon, to strengthen itself.

The toxic fog began to gather, in a short time, as if forming a cocoon, enveloping the antelope within.

...

Around the same time, in various regions of Africa, wherever the plague spread severely, certain ”miracles of life” occurred.

For instance, some mutant beast suddenly ascended in level, gaining the power to control and utilize the plague toxin, or some tiny plants broke through the barriers of evolution, becoming unaffected by the plague in a short time, even actively purifying plague toxins in the air.

Changes happened in an instant, and within a short period, at least a hundred divine beast species capable of restraining the plague emerged out of nowhere across the African continent, after finishing all this, the vast will over the African continent sighed wearily, then disappeared.
