Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The giant ants continued exhaling poison fog, providing a constant stream of energy for the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity’s evolution. When Luo Luo regained awareness, he was surprised to find that his body remained at Level 2.

Originally, the body was just a shell and naturally couldn’t ascend with the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity—Luo Luo’s small mind hadn’t grasped this yet, but what’s the saying?

Simple-minded people have their simple fortunes.

Luo Luo didn’t need to understand such profound things; it was enough to know he’d acquired a super, super powerful skill!

Queen’s Bodyguard (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Skill) (Heart of the Swarm ability derived from) (Exclusive skill for the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity) (Ant Tribe exclusive): As the supreme Dominator of a tribe, as a tribe’s will, how could you not have powerful guards?

Activating this skill allows same-species lifeforms to actively merge into one. With a hundred (imaginary number) same-species lifeforms, a higher-level lifeform can be fused. For every hundredfold increase in number, the fused lifeform’s level increases by one, but it can never exceed the current Level Lock limit and can only surpass the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity’s maximum level by one level at most (currently Level 3, at most can merge into a Level 4 lifeform). Additionally, the fused lifeform can break through limits—determined by the number of lifeforms used (low impact), the number of Limit Breakthrough Level ants in the fusion (medium impact), and the strongest individual within the fusion (high impact).

Note 1: The resultant fusion ant can undergo further fusion.

Note 2: The skills of the resultant fusion ant can be autonomously selected by the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity (limited to skills of the fused individuals, and also inherits all skills of the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity).

Note 3: The resultant fusion ant can dissolve back to individual states according to the Amalgamated Consciousness Entity’s will.

(As the will of the tribe, you can autonomously forge your sword and shield!)

An ability that is truly terrifying!

As an Amalgamated Willpower Entity, even if one can manipulate the ant swarm, there are times when sheer numbers can’t replace quality.

Just like the Demon Tribe surrounding the New Hope Assembly Place, akin to Wen Yu—even an abundance of low-level demons is merely sustenance and growth nourishment for Wen Yu. The swarm acts the same way; when the quality gap is too large, ants may bite an elephant to death, but can they bite a superman to death?

However, upon awakening the Queen’s Bodyguard, everything greatly changes—forging a super-individual with the power of the group!

This example, Wen Yu had seen before.

It’s just like the Xuanwu War God built with the entire nation’s power at the Yanjing Assembly Site! But the Queen’s Bodyguard skill is more direct and straightforward. As for which is stronger, it’s hard to compare...

Having simply practiced the skill, Luo Luo, after getting familiar with its usage, stopped paying attention to the large ants gathered together, simply lying quietly on the ground, enjoying the pleasure of growth brought by inhaling the plague fog.

After using the Queen’s Bodyguard to combine into a super ant, Luo Luo discovered that the amalgamated entity inhaled the fog much more rapidly than the numerous but weak ant swarm.

The poison cloud was continuously inhaled by the giant ants, and Luo Luo’s power kept increasing, from Early Stage Level 3 to Mid-Third Stage, until half an hour later, reaching Peak Level 3!

With the large amount of the poison cloud being absorbed by the guardian ant, the concentration of poison gas inside the New Hope Assembly Place visibly decreased, and even the plague fog outside the Assembly Place was drawn in due to the concentration difference, continuously gathering towards the New Hope Assembly Place.

The struggling Wen Yu, maintaining the New Hope Assembly Place’s defense perimeter, also noticed this situation, and with Victor and Cyclops still absent for a long time, he couldn’t help but send a spiritual fluctuation to Victor.

”What’s the situation on your side?”

Victor was silent for a long time before he sent back a message.

”Boss, that mutant beast... no, that lifeform... no, rather, that strange thing, huh, that strange thing is absorbing poison fog, and I can feel it getting stronger. I think this thing is probably the lifeform mentioned in the Star Praying...”

Victor’s spiritual fluctuation was filled with deep surprise and confusion, but the last sentence was exceptionally firm.

Even with simple observation, Victor had already noted the extraordinary traits of this newborn Insect Tribe Amalgamated Consciousness Entity!

”Bring it back.”

Having confirmed the target, Wen Yu immediately wanted to bring back this creature to fulfill the purpose of his journey on the African Continent, yet Victor offered another suggestion.

”Let’s wait a while, boss, the rate at which that thing is getting stronger is incredibly fast! Unimaginably fast! I think in a few hours, it might evolve to Level 6. I’m afraid leaving here might interrupt this evolution speed.”

Victor’s hesitation wasn’t without reason. An Amalgamated Willpower Entity, or a spirit-like being, was something neither Wen Yu nor Victor had encountered before, and Luo Luo’s evolution speed was terrifyingly rapid. Who knows if it is currently in some post-natal metamorphosis phase—interrupting its growth now might lead to unpredictable circumstances, something neither Wen Yu nor Victor could foresee.
