Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Enemy attack! Enemy attack!”

When the alarm on the city wall sounded, the Skeleton Battalion reacted precisely as its name suggested.

Countless warriors rushed out of the barracks, a plethora of war weapons were set up, directly confronting the invading enemy.

Even Little White’s Squad, called the patrol team, reacted quickly.

The squad leader stood up from the shade, instantly drawing the battle saber from his waist.

”Warriors, charge with me!”

In an instant, the sound of saber blades unsheathing filled the air ceaselessly.

The next moment, in the bewildered eyes of the team members, a sudden breeze swept across the squad leader’s shoulder, then his head soared into the air, blood gushing like a fountain, drenching everyone.

Dead before the battle even began...

Yet, the unknown attack was not over. As the breeze blew past, several Bone Demons near the leader were suddenly beheaded—they died without knowing whose hand struck them.

The tense atmosphere began to spread until a hero stepped forward...

”Brothers, don’t just stand there, follow me, run fast!”

Little White shouted as he darted towards the nearest defensive facility—the supply depot, the entire squad’s warriors exchanged confused glances, until the first person followed Little White’s lead, the entire team started moving inexplicably under Little White’s guidance...

...

Supply Depot. Originally, the supply depot was a military forbidden area for these low-level warriors, not to be approached easily.

But now, who cared about that.

At the forefront, Little White ran freely in the wind, until an imperceptible spiritual fluctuation sounded by his ear, and the next second, Little White suddenly hit the ground, as if he was a prophet, a breeze swept above him, slicing towards the distance.

”Quick! Run fast, get closer to me, I can sense the signs of an impending attack!”

Of course, there was no sensing an impending attack, however, the mysterious presence of a sixth sense, who could explain it clearly—at least these panic-stricken Demon Fiends didn’t consider such things.

The team became more compact.

”Naughty Two, get down!”

”Sss...”

The wind blade swept past, yet Naughty Two, the Demon Fiend, was unharmed.

”Thank you! Thank you!”

Having narrowly escaped death, Naughty Two quickly got up and ran to Little White’s side.

”Ear, jump!”

”Sss...”

Within less than a kilometer of the supply depot’s door, the ”miraculous” Little White had saved at least eight lives, while those far from him were all taken away by the breeze.

Gradually, the Bone Demons’ gaze towards Little White began to change...

Until Little White pushed open the supply depot’s door!

...

”Don’t move!”

As Little White entered the door, he saw the elderly warehouse guard and the battle saber gleaming with cold light in the guard’s hand.

This supply depot wasn’t particularly important, and there wasn’t much supply inside, guarding it was considered a leisurely job, a cushy position—therefore, the Bone Demon who acquired this position must have some connections higher up.

At least, Little White couldn’t afford to offend him.

”Sir, there’s trouble outside, we came to take shelter...”

Little White said with a wry smile, only to be interrupted by the foul breath coming his way.

”Get out! This is a military forbidden area! You trash aren’t fighting the enemy, beware...”

”Sss.”

The sound of the wind rose, another head was cleanly severed!

Little White grabbed the magnetic card on the guard’s chest, swiping it chaotically on the security door of the real supply depot, and with three ”beep” sounds, the massive iron door opened in response.

”Get in! Get in!”

The remaining patrol team of over ten people didn’t care about anything else, slipping in quickly, until Little White, the last one, entered the warehouse, his brain quickly grasping the situation.

”Um, the supply depot is a forbidden area... also... we should be deserters now...”

The voice grew smaller and smaller until the whole squad fell into silence.

Deserters...

Ought to be executed!

”Ahem.”

Little White stood up once more, looking at the uneasy Bone Demons, speaking in a gentle tone: ”Brothers, we’re not deserters... we’ve not violated any military regulation either.”

Successfully capturing the attention of the Bone Demons, in their gaze, Little White seemed to gain positive reinforcement, speaking more fluently.

”Think about it, what’s our mission?”

”Patrol?”

”Yes, patrol! Just now, during our patrol, we happened to encounter an enemy attack, the enemy attempted to invade the supply depot.”

”And us, what are we doing now?”

”Guarding! We’re guarding the supply depot! So, which military regulation did we breach?”

Seems like there’s no problem...

The remaining patrol members exchanged glances, until Naughty Two, the Bone Demon, nodded and loudly declared: ”Right! We’re guarding the supply depot! Not only didn’t we breach any regulations, we’ve done a great service!”

”Yeah!”

”Right, that’s exactly it.”

Watching the quick consensus among the Demons, Little White’s smile slowly curved, as he said: ”And now, the enemy is strong, trapped in the supply depot, we’re unable to resist the invading enemy, watching as the door is about to be breached, we’re compelled to use the magic crystals and flesh inside the supply depot to breakthrough successfully to fend off the enemy’s attack...”

The script couldn’t be clearer for you...

”Cough cough cough.”

A series of awkward coughs sounds, just then, the door very fittingly resounded with ”bang bang” knocking sounds.

Naughty Two spoke again: ”My cousin’s second aunt’s cousin’s boyfriend works in logistics, he said there’s corruption of logistics supplies in our barracks, in fact, over half of our military pay was deducted...”

The Demon Fiend called Ear also pondered: ”I’ve heard too, seems like there are a lot of fake accounts here, the supply account books don’t add up at all.”

”Besides, we’re resisting the enemy, without strength, how can we resist?”

”When the door breaks, it’s death.”

”Anyway, it’s already like this...”

”Bang!”

The door trembled violently—the door wasn’t solid in front of high-level life forms...

Once more, Little White set the ”example”, jumping to a large box marked with ”3”, kicking open the lock, pulling out magic crystals and flesh, and started munching them down!

Until several Bone Demons joined the ”plot.”

...

The warmth in his body surged quickly, the fourth skill began to consolidate, in a short time, Little White, once a third-level Demon Fiend, had already broken through to Level 4!

Sneaking a glance at the three Bone Demons behind still unmoved, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in Little White’s eyes!

”Cloud Puppet boss, break the door, kill! Don’t forget to act realistic...”

”Rest assured, it will go smoothly.”

Cloud Puppet transmitted a mocking spiritual fluctuation, then with a ”bang” the door shattered explosively, the three Bone Demons who hadn’t joined in the greedy actions were struck down instantly by the shattered steel, followed by a breeze blowing through, cutting the three Bone Demons down in death!

”Brothers, attack!”

Little White took the lead, picking up the battle saber, charging straight at the door!

”Boom!”

The clash of blades echoed as Little White swung the battle saber wildly in the air, simultaneously, several deep wounds appeared on Little White’s body out of nowhere.

Until a scream sounded in the air, Little White leaned on the saber, panting heavily, then turned, showing a radiant smile to his teammates.

”I succeeded...”
