Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The sound of fighting outside was incessant until Akad’s voice came over the communicator in my hand.

”Brother Wen Yu, the Demon Tribe’s reinforcements have arrived, and your little pet is among them. Haha, good fellow, already at Peak Level 6, so fast?”

”Nonsense, don’t you know how many battle merits you’ve sent to Little White during this time?”

Two months and ten days, that’s the total time Wen Yu and Akad experienced after the attack on Lusaka. All along the way, Akad behaved as if he was risking his life because of the big promise Wen Yu painted for him.

Not only did he kill a large number of Demon Fiends, providing Wen Yu with a vast amount of Creation Energy, but he also cooperated with Wen Yu to send endless battle merits to Little White, forcefully elevating him to the high position of a Demon Tribe battalion commander!

The enormous accolades paved a golden path to the upper echelons for Little White, while also providing endless material support—it’s extremely easy for the Demon Tribe to cultivate a Level 6 Peak demon.

Until now...

”Master, the commander of the 8th Battalion of the Skeleton Battalion is currently in the ranks.”

”Hmm, have you accumulated enough accolades?”

”I have plenty, Master. Once you kill him, I’ll be able to smoothly replace him as the commander of the 8th Battalion of the 2nd Collective Army. The Supreme Commander of the 2nd Collective Army values me greatly, so I don’t foresee any mistakes here.”

”Excellent!”

Wen Yu praised with a word, then hung up the communicator and looked into the distance where billowing smoke rose.

Two months and ten days of effort had finally managed to nail down a peg within the Demon Tribe, and this was not the end.

The interactions with these spies made all of the Demon Tribe’s actions blatantly exposed before Wen Yu. Now, as long as Little White is planted in the decision-making layer of the Battle Zone Africa, the final part of his plan is considered completely finished.

By that time, the entirety of Africa, whether major or minor, will hold no more secrets in Wen Yu’s eyes!

...

The operation of the 8th Battalion of the Skeleton Battalion was swift, deploying no extensive arrangements outside the city, as the Demon Army led by the commander surged into the breach in the city wall broken open by the blood slaves and engaged in fierce battle with them within the city.

Akad had long since, according to Wen Yu’s instructions, set trap after trap, luring this battalion’s commander in.

The perception ability spread out, encapsulating the military deployments of the entire city and the details of the battle situation, all of which Wen Yu absorbed completely. One command after another came out of Wen Yu’s mouth, making its way to Akad’s ears.

As the observer sees everything clearly, commanding a battle from a God’s Vision position was also a rare experience for Wen Yu. Fortunately, it felt quite good.

...

”Charge with me!”

The commander of the 8th Battalion shouted the battle cry, brandishing the battle saber as he charged unstoppably in the direction where Akad stood.

Leading the charge as a commander—an unwise move...

But for the commander of the 8th Battalion, he indeed had his difficulties.

The little guy underneath him who recently emerged as a star gave him tremendous pressure, and his own mediocrity, compared to the continuous success of the battalion commander called Little White, was truly unsightly.

Recently, the Commander Liu of the 2nd Collective Army had already openly and covertly shown dissatisfaction with him. If he didn’t accomplish something soon, he could kiss his position as a commander goodbye.

Imagining the embarrassment of being demoted from commander to battalion commander, the commander’s saber appeared even sharper, leading his elite group like a sharp knife stabbing into the enemy’s heart!

The moment when the commander glimpsed the silhouette of the professionist named Akad.

...

After over two months of skirmishing, intelligence on Akad himself was laid bare before the Demon Tribe, including detailed information on the River of Death and the powerful units within the blood slaves, and naturally, Akad’s own condition.

The guy who manipulates the blood slaves had a physical constitution that could only be described as pathetic—barely a... little bit...

Fortunately, he came to the African Continent after the Plague’s concentration had significantly reduced; otherwise, Akad might have been obliterated by the ever-present Plague without a trace!

Seeing Akad, the commander acted like a terrier seeing a female dog, his eyes flashing with a sinister crimson light, clutching his long sword, shouting and charging towards Akad!

”Kill him once, and then kill him again, over and over!”

For a Level 6 Peak Bone Demon, battling a professionist with only a point in physical fitness — it was indeed as easy as killing him however many times he wanted!

Great merit was within reach!

Until a bullet the size of a palm snapped the commander of the Bone Demon back into reality from his dream.

The bullet arrived in an instant, breaching the physical defense layer of the Bone Demon, directly slamming into the commander’s skull.

With a ”bang”!

The Bone Demon seemed to be struck frontally by a heavy hammer, his body halting instantly. Following that, a completely deformed bullet was flung far away, leaving only a fine crack on the head armor of the Bone Demon.

The sudden attack didn’t cause any damage to the commander of the Bone Demon but did make him shudder.

The Strong Power of Akad’s blood slaves was all logged, each one of those powerful blood slaves was tangled up, including the newly emerged ones!

The commander couldn’t possibly fathom where the attack came from.

In the next second, another ”bang” sounded!

The bullet from afar differed from the previous one; this time, it glimmered with dim black light. The intense threat it carried caused the Bone Demon commander to involuntarily shiver.

”This isn’t right... This kind of energy fluctuations...”

With a ”boom”!

The bullet once again struck the Bone Demon commander, the palm-sized bullet whirled like a drill into the commander’s skull, instantly blasting it apart!

”Nice shot!”

”It’s just average; this kind of weapon is only good for bullying trash...”

Wen Yu calmly reclaimed the sniper rifle, even having the leisure to quip about the sniper rifle’s weak power — a single hot weapon couldn’t possibly kill a Level 6 Peak demon; it was simply a pipe dream. The main reason the last shot was successful lay in the addition of darkness energy to the bullet.

”Call it a day.”

Issuing the retreat order to Akad, Wen Yu watched the slowly unraveling mess within the Skeleton Battalion and Little White taking advantage of the chaos to gather support. A hint of anticipation welled up in Wen Yu’s eyes.

A commander, especially of the Skeleton Battalion, in the Battle Zone Africa, already held a considerable position—at the very least, the top brass of a large base!

And with such a status, it was enough to enter the decision-making circle of the Demon Tribe in the Battle Zone Africa and probe some concealed aspects of the Demon Tribe.

Thinking of this, Wen Yu thought back to the action plan he had mapped for Akad. After a while, he let out a light laugh.

Two months and ten days, such a long time, yet the Origin Extraction Device still showed no sign of appearing.

Seemingly, such a grand operation also requires the Demon Tribe a lengthy preparation period to perfect.

Which worked out well for Wen Yu, enabling him to calmly orchestrate his overall strategy in Africa.

Now, even the last nail is hammered in, it seems that the moment of revelation is fast approaching.
