System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”I thought the same, Dr. Lu, did you notice any problems?” the young man asked.

Lu Cheng was very seriously examining the images. Upon close inspection of the CT scan, Lu Cheng indeed did not find anything unusual.

If there were any special lesions that needed handling at a higher-level hospital, then what Lu Cheng wanted to say instead would be simple.

”Nothing noticeable for now, CT is just a relatively simple imaging examination. In this kind of situation, it would be best for your wife to come over and you two see it together.”

”That’s my suggestion,” Lu Cheng said.

The diagnosis of colitis is quite abstract, as it can be subdivided into many different types of colitis. CT can only locate, not truly qualify it, so maybe a colonoscopy would be better.

”Alright, Dr. Lu. I’ll call her over immediately. I didn’t have time before, but I’m resting now,” the young man smiled.

Upon hearing this, Lu Cheng suddenly asked, ”Brother, do you want me to arrange a consultation from the reproductive department for you?”

”Since you are currently hospitalized, such a consultation can be reimbursed.”

Lu Cheng is an emergency doctor, and he certainly cannot diagnose the cause of the other party’s ’infertility’, but genuine reproductive doctors can.

If this young man really showed the pictures to that doctor, the other party would definitely get angry, but maybe this would indirectly solve the problem.

”Can it be reimbursed?”

”Even if it can’t be reimbursed it’s still better than lining up for outpatient services, of course, whether to arrange it or not is ultimately up to you,” Lu Cheng said.

”Alright then...” The young man nodded.

Lu Cheng returned to the doctor’s office and sent out a consultation request!

Only, what Lu Cheng did not expect was that shortly after sending out the consultation request, the nurse’s station received a phone call.

”On-call doctor, reproductive department calling,” a nurse from the nurse’s station shouted.

”Ah? Oh, okay.” The other side’s reaction speed was really fast.

Lu Cheng had just placed the receiver to his ear when a sharp voice came from inside: ”Are you out of your mind? Requesting a reproductive consultation for a patient in the emergency observation ward?”

”Can’t you let the patient go to the outpatient clinic themselves? The DRG won’t pass.”

Lu Cheng: ”...Alright, professor, I’ll cancel the consultation immediately.”

After hearing this, Lu Cheng quickly apologized.

As an emergency department doctor needing a reproductive department person to explain DRG, it’s quite laughable, yet this is the current medical situation.

What else could Lu Cheng do, explaining it again to the patient?

However, when Lu Cheng went over, the patient was on a call: ”Come get treated, the doctors here are all telling you to come!”

”Money is not an issue.”

”No, Xiao Min, why do you react so strongly every time I ask you to go to the hospital?”

”Avoiding treatment is unacceptable. Crying won’t solve the problem either!”

The young man probed further.

”You mention the child’s issue again, I’ve said it long ago, my stance has always been, such matters shouldn’t be forced but also shouldn’t be not forced.”

”If pregnant, then give birth; if not, then don’t, right?”

”What’s it got to do with your hospital visit?”

The young man’s expression suddenly changed dramatically: ”Ah? What did you say?”

Afterward, his glare suddenly and grimly directed toward where Lu Cheng was, Lu Cheng’s expression and gaze remained calm.

Then, the young man’s deep voice rang out: ”Did you see the recent social media posts and on-site pictures?”

”Return my father’s money to me, or else, they’ll end up like your whole family!”

”Damn you MB!~”

”You used to say?”

”Scram!~” The young man immediately hung up the phone.

Straight afterward, the young man turned around, glaring at Lu Cheng, angry like looking for a venting object: ”Did you notice it earlier? Why didn’t you tell me?”

Lu Cheng calmly replied, ”What do you think I noticed?”

”That thing,” the young man charged forward aggressively.

Lu Cheng remained calm, saying, ”You only asked me to check the colitis problem?”

The young man rushed in front of Lu Cheng, fiercely squeezed his eyelids, showing intense anger!

Lu Cheng continued, ”The reproductive department said they couldn’t arrange a consultation, you have to go to outpatient for that. I’m here to relay this fact to you.”

”Brother, you can rest assured, I will definitely protect your privacy, leaking others’ privacy is illegal!!!!!!!” Lu Cheng stressed.

The young man’s breathing began to calm from chaos, after thinking for a while, he suddenly said, ”Thank you, Dr. Lu, please handle my discharge procedures, I need to go back.”

Lu Cheng replied, ”Then you’ll have to forcibly sign for discharge. Follow me.”

The young man said, ”No problem, dying outside isn’t any of your business.”

Lu Cheng paused: ”Then don’t leave. I need to report to the leader.”

”What’s with this, dying or not dying at the drop of a hat?”

”You talk lightly, haven’t encountered such things yourself?” The young man felt annoyed.

Not sure if it’s hate towards Lu Cheng for uncovering secrets, or pity for his misfortune, or secretly blaming himself for being foolish.

Lu Cheng said, ”Mainly I think, brother, you are still young, even if you lost a bit of money, you still have a chance to rise again.”

”It’s unnecessary.”

”Now it’s a harmonious society, after all.”

”Physical health is the most important thing, if you are willing to believe it, you should go upstairs to the oncology department and take a look. You’ll find that being as healthy as we are already a huge blessing.”

”Besides, some things, knowing them is better than being kept in the dark!”

The young man said, ”I want to be discharged! Quickly let me be discharged!”

Lu Cheng was even less likely to do it: ”Your current condition doesn’t meet discharge standards, I can’t process the paperwork.”

”I said, I want to be discharged,” the young man stated.

Of course, Lu Cheng’s refusal, under the presence of higher-ups, the safety office, medical department, and other witnesses, he ultimately processed the discharge.

When Lu Cheng was signing alongside the young man, he said again, ”Brother, deal with the problem calmly!~ This concealment falls under fraud.”

”Really?” The young man’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”I’m guessing,” Lu Cheng said.

These insights Lu Cheng had heard from Huang Haibo in internal medicine at Long County People’s Hospital, when he occasionally made jokes. Lu Cheng had intentionally or unintentionally noted them.

”...”
