System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Lu Cheng’s personnel transfer has been confirmed, but since he hasn’t reported in yet, he can’t claim to be an emergency department doctor at the State Hospital.

”Thank you. Well, these two people are quite lucky.”

”Get on the stretcher!~ Immediate monitoring.” People in green clothes started to act.

”Officer, come over and lend a hand with lifting.” The 120 ambulance doctor often encounters police at the scene, so he calls for help very skillfully.

The police don’t mind doing the heavy lifting.

Lu Cheng said, ”I’ll go wash my hands first, to clean up.”

The police observing deduced from Lu Cheng and the 120 ambulance doctor’s conversation that Lu Cheng was a professional doctor and quickly said, ”There’s bottled water here.”

”Go wash, protect yourself. Also, protect other patients.” Doctors can understand each other.

Sometimes, it’s not about not minding the dirt; you can’t just mess around casually.

Lu Cheng turned, and the police had already opened the bottled water.

Lu Cheng had only taken a few steps when he heard a flurry of voices: ”It’s over! This is an arterial injury!”

”Why did you flip him over?” An anxious, furious voice immediately followed.

”How to know where the injury is without flipping?” The person who spoke initially retorted, ”Hurry and stop the bleeding on site!”

Lu Cheng quickly rubbed his hands and didn’t have time to dry them off. After wiping them a few times on himself, he pulled out a mask, cap, and gloves from the emergency kit.

While heading toward the source of the sound, he quickly put on examination gloves.

”Can you manage?”

”Can’t find the bleeding point!”

Another person in green approached: ”Let Luo Lianzhong have a try. Luo Lianzhong? Luo Lianzhong.”

Someone said, ”Luo Lianzhong already led the team back to the car.”

”Where? Where?” The person in charge of hemostasis sounded anxious but remained relatively calm while handling.

Just then, Lu Cheng had already approached and pressed his hands above the patient’s groin.

Lu Cheng just applied pressure once, and the wound that was bleeding stopped bleeding profusely in an instant.

”Don’t panic, just move inward a bit more!” Lu Cheng said calmly.

”Inward?” The panicked person in green looked up: ”Do you know how?”

”Yes, inward about a centimeter from you; look inside from there.” Lu Cheng directed.

The person in green simply stepped aside: ”How about you do it! I’ll hold it for you.”

Lu Cheng: ”...”

”Hand me a hemostatic clamp.” Lu Cheng decisively raised his voice.

What help? If you could stop the bleeding by pressing, why didn’t you do it sooner?

Lu Cheng didn’t need to think to know the outcome.

The other person complied, handing a hemostatic clamp to Lu Cheng. Lu Cheng had to switch from using both hands to one hand, using the heel of his palm to press more firmly on the proximal part of the femoral artery.

With his right hand, he took the hemostatic clamp from the person in green and expertly maneuvered it into the artery sheath’s opening, clamping it shut to stop the bleeding!

”Give me another one!” Lu Cheng released his hand.

After clamping the proximal end of the femoral artery, there was no massive arterial bleeding, and the hemorrhage from the distal artery wasn’t significant, allowing the proximal pressure to be released to avoid increased reflux.

The green-clad person complied, staring at Lu Cheng, their face full of confusion.

What Lu Cheng just did, stopping bleeding with instruments without direct vision, wasn’t easy to execute.

He didn’t even know this was possible.

After snapping in two hemostatic clamps, Lu Cheng resolved the major bleeding point.

At this point, the green-clothed person spoke again: ”Sir, he has multiple bleeding points. Could you take care of them all?”

”Compress bandages on the elbow and calf; the rest…”

Lu Cheng said, looking at the other patients. They were either dead or already transported away on stretchers.

Lu Cheng then said, ”Alright, let’s bandage with pressure together.”

He didn’t dare to contradict the other professionals’ assessments and treatments. They were professional emergency doctors too.

Perhaps he could save one more life, but it might be meaningless. It was only a possibility.

Once people have been promptly moved away, what more is there to say?

”Okay!~” The two in green immediately nodded, opening gauze and bandages, and swiftly bandaging with pressure.

As the procedure neared completion, one person said: ”Sir, you’re not from our county, are you? You look unfamiliar.”

”Yes, I’m from the Long County emergency department.” Lu Cheng responded, standing up.

At this point, not only hadn’t the crowd thinned out, but it had become denser.

There were only two bodies left at the scene.

A woman in her fifties and a young woman in her twenties.

Their heads were crushed, bodies pressed, and had rolled a couple of times.

They were beyond saving.

No chance for rescue, just waiting for the criminal police and forensic doctors to arrive.

This deliberate car accident is not a traffic accident anymore; it’s a criminal case.

”Hello, sir, I’m Zhang Tao from the general surgery department of Feng County People’s Hospital.”

”We were lucky to have you today.” Zhang Tao initiated a handshake.

”Among our following doctors, there are very few professional emergency department doctors.”

Many doctors in the 120 ambulance team are rotating from surgical or internal medicine departments to emergency; not all are emergency department doctors.

”If there’s nothing else here, I’ll head out first. I have a teacher who got injured, and I need to take him to the hospital for a check-up.”

”Also, I need to register with the police officers to confirm my identity as a doctor.” Lu Cheng said.

”Sir, the registration process isn’t too bothersome; we can vouch for you.”

One green-clad person responded, then said: ”Officer, this person is from Long County People’s Hospital’s emergency department. They seem to be here for leisure, sure to be a professional doctor.”

The police nodded and said: ”We only handle registration, not checking qualifications!~”

”In such situations, having someone to step up promptly is already great.”

Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu registered their basic information, just basics; no one carries around their practicing certificate and physician qualification certificate.

With an ID number, one can check if there are credentials.

For emergency risk avoidance, as long as Lu Cheng had the credentials for invasive procedures, that’s fine. Mu Nanshu was only assisting in confirming vital signs, so just an ID was sufficient.

No charges would be pursued!

After registering, Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu quickly left the scene with Tong Yuan’an.

Being in a county, 120 resources are limited, and for non-contact accidents like Tong Yuan’an’s, there’s no vehicle transport available.

Luckily, Lu Cheng drove himself, and after confirming there was nothing special with Tong Yuan’an’s abdomen and chest, Lu Cheng drove away from the scene with Tong Yuan’an.
