System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”In our hospital, we primarily operate with the Industrial and Commercial Bank. Specifically, at the time, you’ll need to contact the relevant teachers from the Finance Department, okay?”

Jin Jun suddenly called a name: ”Who is Huang Linmei?”

A girl who had just finished signing from the Internal Medicine group raised her hand: ”Teacher Jin, I am here.”

Huang Mei was about 1.65 meters tall, with a pretty face and a voluptuous figure.

At first glance, her baby face gave the impression that she was still underaged.

Of course, no one gave her any particularly invasive looks. The people taking the selection exam weren’t fresh graduates; most had families, or at least a girlfriend.

Those who could participate in the selection exam were all in their thirties.

Jin Jun said, ”Huang Linmei, regarding your department assignment this time, we’ve discussed with you before, you won’t be going to the Gastroenterology Department, okay?”

”The Human Resources Department welcomes you!”

Jin Jun’s words surprised everyone, followed by bizarre looks cast towards Huang Linmei.

A clinical doctor’s selection exam turned into a position in the HR Department, which sounded either unreliable or very ”reliable”!

Behind the scenes, there must either be many people or no one at all.

”Okay, thank you, Teacher Jin.” After signing in, Huang Linmei sat aside to wait, leaving the crowd.

The remaining twelve people’s expressions varied.

Then, after Jin Jun explained some registration details, it was past eight o’clock.

The administrative departments start work at half-past eight, but everyone knew employees from the selection were going to report to new departments today, so a few people responsible from HR arrived early.

When Lu Cheng left the HR office, he noticed a few HR leaders started chatting and laughing with Huang Linmei after entering, but exactly what they were discussing, Lu Cheng couldn’t hear clearly.

Having passed the selection exam, everyone was an internal member of the hospital, so HR didn’t avoid anyone.

...

Lu Cheng was in Emergency Surgery, so it was his first stop.

The ones receiving Lu Cheng were Director Xiao and Vice Director Tian Zhiliang from Emergency Surgery.

Xiao Zhaoxi was the director of Emergency Surgery and the head of the Emergency Department, so it counted that the leadership of the Emergency Department met together.

Jin Jun seriously instructed Xiao Zhaoxi that Lu Cheng was the top scorer in this selection exam and must be well treated. Many specialty directors in surgery were competing jokingly, then quickly left with the others.

After everyone left, Xiao Zhaoxi said, ”Everyone, what are you waiting for? Let’s welcome the new comrade together!”

After speaking, Xiao Zhaoxi began to applaud.

Tian Zhiliang, who was relatively familiar with Lu Cheng, remarked, ”Director Xiao, not just a new comrade, but isn’t he also a helpful sanitation worker?”

”Shouldn’t the video from yesterday qualify?”

While the video of Lu Cheng performing on-site resuscitation didn’t circulate on short video platforms, it was seen by everyone in the group.

Those who didn’t know watched for fun, while those who did remember Lu Cheng’s face.

Lu Cheng’s luck could be called both good and bad.

”The title doesn’t matter, but our comrade Lu Cheng, daring to act first regardless of public opinion’s pressure, is a good example for our hospital.”

”I bet not everyone has realized it, otherwise today, the Public Relations Department should have come with HR.” Xiao Zhaoxi said with a smile.

Positive energy events have always been a righteous narrative in social promotion.

Even if not announced externally, good deeds should be promoted within the hospital; encouraging positive energy aligns with the broader big picture.

”Director Xiao, we were scared to death at that time.”

Lu Cheng gently shook his head and said, ”A teacher from the Hand Surgery Department at Xiangya Hospital nearly got hit.”

Hearing this, Xiao Zhaoxi and others were stunned: ”What? A professor from Xiangya Hospital was also injured?”

”Yes, he was also traveling to Feng County. I recognized him, and just as I was about to greet him, a car rushed towards him.”

”That chubby professor at the time was quite agile.”

”And the car just drifted past me.”

Lu Cheng said, ”If he hadn’t knocked down the guardrail, I might have fled long ago.”

Instead of being disappointed, Xiao Zhaoxi professionally remarked, ”As an ER doctor, determining and assessing the safety of the rescue scene is the first priority; even with chest compressions, you must ensure the scene’s safety.”

”Otherwise, it’s harmful to oneself and others.”

”The scene was quite dangerous, and Lu Cheng’s courage is commendable. Let’s not exploit this matter any further.”

”My usual stance is that we’d better not stir up trouble, nor should we be afraid of trouble.”

”In such cases, how it’s publicized and characterized mainly depends on others. It always comes with complications, it’s up to everyone to contemplate and resolve themselves.”

”Other than that, Director Zhu, will Lu Cheng be following you or Tian Zhiliang? Please make a statement?”

Zhu Yuanzhou’s skin was very fair, even fairer than Lu Cheng’s, but plump to the point of being a bit flabby, lacking a bit of masculinity.

Xiao Zhaoxi’s polite words didn’t prompt a direct response from him, and instead, he immediately chuckled, ”I listen to Director Xiao and Brother Tian’s arrangement.”

”Whether Xiao Lu follows me or not, he’s our brother.”

But it was Tian Zhiliang who said, ”Director Xiao, my team is short of people, please give Xiao Lu to me.”

Watching the responses from Tian Zhiliang and Zhu Yuanzhou, Lu Cheng understood who had a better relationship with Xiao Zhaoxi and who had more seniority.

Xiao Zhaoxi managed the Emergency Department well, with clear levels.

”Do you want him?” Xiao Zhaoxi asked Tian Zhiliang.
