System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Zhang Tiesheng wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with it, but he didn’t know the details.

Every time there’s an academician review, complaint materials fly like shattered clouds.

There’s a joke online that it doesn’t matter who you are; as long as you have something real to report, you just need to start, and strong teammates will naturally join.

And this isn’t five versus five; it could very well be ninety-nine versus one.

You’re definitely not the one.

”Well, I guess I’m willing. After all, I’ve already ended up like this, what more could I ask for?”

”But, aren’t there a lot of things I need to catch up on?” Zhang Tiesheng asked, seemingly eager.

This kind of unfamiliar but high-end stuff has a novelty to it once you get the chance to be involved.

Lu Cheng said, ”Brother Zhang, is it possible that for a long time, we’ll just be the muscle?”

”Yeah, we’re just doing the work. Commanding, direction, specific operations, ’lineup selection’—this kind of drafting is left to more professional people.”

”Sister-in-law? Or Professor Chen?” Zhang Tiesheng asked.

”Not sure, we’ll just develop for now.”

”Seriously, the real situation isn’t a game; everyone is in a development phase, but we’ve just started while the others are maxed out with top gear.”

”We don’t even have the chance to operate right now.” Lu Cheng tried to use straightforward language to explain to Zhang Tiesheng.

Lu Cheng wasn’t lying; he truly was just starting, like a level-one newbie.

Even in the super late game, the opponent’s support could still defeat Lu Cheng with basic attacks.

After Zhang Tiesheng chuckled awkwardly for a while, he stopped dwelling on the topic and shifted the conversation elsewhere: ”Xiao Lu, actually, after you left, we’ve all really missed you.”

”But thinking about how Director Du might invite you down to do surgery in the future, we sort of got used to it.”

Lu Cheng replied, ”Brother Zhang, I haven’t done a proper surgery in months; honestly, I want to go back to the way things were.”

”But a lot has happened recently.”

This time Zhang Tiesheng said something very realistic: ”Is it possible that these things have always been happening, but most of the time, we just don’t have the right to participate?”

”...”

After parting ways with Zhang Tiesheng, Lu Cheng immediately returned to the State People’s Hospital.

He looked at his panel: [Current Skill Points Balance: 251.6 points]

With so many skill points, heading to a new place should warrant a big expenditure.

As Lu Cheng’s mind focused, the panel underwent a significant change.

[Surgical Basic Skills: X-ray Film Reading Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -30), CT Film Reading Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -10), Magnetic Resonance Imaging Reading Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -30), Surgical Instrument Operation Experience (Skilled 10/10), Physical Examination (Specialization 20/20), Auxiliary Examination Reading Skills (Skilled 10/10)]

[Surgical Basic Operations: Incision Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -30), Wound Cleaning Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -30), Suturing Skill (Expert 20/200), Knotting Skill (Skilled 10/10), Puncture Skill (Specialization 20/20) (Skill Points -30), Hemostasis Technique (Specialization 20/20).]

[Skill Points Balance: 91.6]

160 skill points were not easily earned, but spending them only takes a few years.

Lu Cheng chose to allocate these skill points to basic operations and skills according to the actual situations at State People’s Hospital, not just randomly.

The emergency department at the State People’s Hospital is solely dedicated to saving lives, and the job Lu Cheng has to do is in the resuscitation room, which requires the quality of basic skills rather than specialist techniques.

The tasks in the resuscitation room really boil down to two things: precise diagnosis and life-saving.

The more critical the life-saving need, the more important basic operations like hemostasis and diagnosis become.

After arriving at the department, Lu Cheng immediately sought out Deng Duanniu, today’s day-shift.

Hospital basic operations are generally similar. Deng Duanniu also had to write medical records and was improving daily records for observation ward patients.

Not familiar with Deng Duanniu, Lu Cheng stood silently at his rear right after entering the doctor’s office and watched him.

Feeling someone behind him, Deng Duanniu glanced sideways several times before saying, ”Xiao Lu, if you have the night shift, you can rest first.”

”It’s okay, Brother Deng, I’m just taking a look first. I’ll need to ask for your help with the electronic medical record system later.”

”Otherwise, if I’m on night shift with Director Xiao and I’m not familiar with the medical record system, it won’t work.” Lu Cheng quickly added.

Deng Duanniu nodded gently: ”Yes, each hospital’s system is similar yet different.”

”I’m almost done writing...”

Lu Cheng waited another ten minutes before Deng Duanniu said, ”In our hospital, the emergency consultation system and medical record order system are separated.”

”In the observation ward, it’s the inpatient medical record system, just this button.”

”And over in the resuscitation room, it’s the outpatient emergency system, just this sign. We’ll open both pages, and you can log in with your ID number and password...”

”Then, you find the surgical observation ward and resuscitation room and click on assigned patients or waiting patients.”

”In the resuscitation room, the patient might not have registered in time. In this case, you need to create a virtual template to open orders, and after the patient registers, you can merge the virtual template into the patient’s emergency system.”

”This mainly facilitates opening orders...”

”Then...” Although Deng Duanniu looked fierce, he was quite meticulous in his work and taught Lu Cheng with great care.

While listening, Lu Cheng had already silently opened the delivery system and ordered two cups of coffee.
