System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Xiao Lu, it’s clear that these suturing techniques can be replicated, and the basic skill threshold for beginner suturing is not very high.”

”And according to our preliminary research results, it can be confirmed that this suturing technique can expand the indications for spleen preservation surgery.”

”Of course, to objectively achieve this conclusion, more standard animal experimental models are needed to obtain more detailed evidence on which indications can be expanded.”

”Once these are completed, this project will be considered complete.”

”First, it can be taught. Second, it can expand surgical indications. Third, it can list the specific directions of the surgical indications.”

”Once these are perfected, the quality of this paper will be substantial. It’s essentially a triple breakthrough.”

Mu Nanshu gently shook her head and said, ”Teacher Chen, that’s not how it should be counted. The first point is that the suturing technique is effective and superior to ordinary suturing for spleen organ suturing. We attribute this to its practicality.”

”The second point is the transferability of the suturing technique.”

”And surgical indication is just one specific manifestation of practicality, alongside the specific manifestation of transferability. The others are not limited to spleen preservation surgery.”

”Can’t the damage caused by partial spleen resection be utilized?”

The question Mu Nanshu raised was very professional, which Chen Song was pleased to see: ”Ah, yes, yes.”

”My perspective was too narrow.”

Mu Nanshu said, ”That’s not it, Teacher Chen. I think when we discuss issues in the future, we should always return from phenomenon to essence, categorically classifying the research topics we conduct.”

”The originality of the technique is one classification, the application of the technique is another, and the teaching of the technique is yet another.”

”In this way, when we conduct research and share research and papers, we can be more rigorous and better at spotting and filling gaps.”

Chen Song listened, hands on his hips, then looked at Lu Cheng: ”You’re really lucky.”

”With Nanshu’s research capability, she definitely matches up to most researchers, and her current position as an associate senior researcher is certainly underemployed for her.”

Lu Cheng replied, ”Teacher Chen, I’ll temporarily take your researcher with me then.”

”It’s getting late as well.”

”Are you guys going back to Long County together?” Chen Song instinctively felt a bit of regret.

But after thinking for a moment, Chen Song added, ”But also, it’s not good for young people like you to always be apart.”

”Just take care of your health.”

Chen Song’s words made both Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu blush slightly, but they didn’t argue.

Both in their thirties, arguing about such things, even if true, seemed like a pale excuse.

However, Lu Cheng originally had a bit of a mischievous idea, but after arriving in Long County, the time turned to eleven-thirty.

Going upstairs with Mu Nanshu, after each took a shower, it was already around twelve-thirty.

Lu Cheng really couldn’t muster any ”mischievous thoughts”!

This time, Lu Cheng didn’t avoid anything. Although there was surveillance at home, he shamelessly slipped into Mu Nanshu’s room.

Since neither Mu Leng nor Yan Sangyue called, and Lu Cheng didn’t do anything wrong, he quickly fell asleep with a snore.

After Lu Cheng fell asleep, Mu Nanshu’s tense mood gradually dissipated, and she closed her eyes and went into a dream.

December 25th, Friday!

Lu Cheng was still watching a movie with Mu Nanshu in Long County when he saw the ”follow-up notice” after the announcement of the successful candidates for the state selection exam!

The announcement clearly stated that all hospital employees who successfully passed this selection would report to their new unit after New Year’s Day.

The original unit must not use any reason to withhold the transfer of files; after the transfer order is issued, individuals must complete handover procedures at the original unit, which must assist in handling the file transfer procedures.

The transfer order was issued by the State Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, so Long County People’s Hospital dared not hold onto anything.

Moreover, due to Director Du Qiang’s interference, Lu Cheng completed the file transfer process after watching the movie.

However, although the file transfer process was completed, according to regulations, Lu Cheng was required to continue staying at Long County People’s Hospital on duty until the end of the New Year’s Day holiday.

According to the duty schedule, Lu Cheng had an emergency shift on December 31st.

Only after completing this shift could Lu Cheng leave Long County People’s Hospital.

On December 28th, Du Qiang specifically organized a get-together.

However, the theme of the gathering was not to see Lu Cheng off but to farewell Tong Yuan’an.

Tong Yuan’an extended his countryside term, but only until December; starting January, he would return from the countryside to Xiangya Hospital.

At the farewell party, Du Qiang was quite enthusiastic, continuously toasting Tong Yuan’an, while Zhang Tiesheng, who was off duty that day, also joined in the fun, drinking quite a bit with both Tong Yuan’an and Lu Cheng.

After the gathering, Du Qiang did not see Lu Cheng privately nor passed on any messages to him.

At that moment, Lu Cheng couldn’t help but wonder if Director Du Qiang was playing some ”trick,” if he really had a big issue with him, wishing he would leave sooner, fearing it would affect his position in the department.

However, this doubt was fleeting.

January 1st, Friday, New Year’s Day!

After Lu Cheng finished his emergency shift, he and Mu Nanshu immediately went on a self-driving tour to Feng County Ancient City in Xiang Province.

Lu Cheng was scheduled to report to the emergency department of the State People’s Hospital on the 3rd, so the holiday was very short, only suitable for a nearby trip.

However, as soon as Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu drove to Feng County, they found a rather amusing scene.

Because Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu happened to see a big fat guy eating ’lap mei noodles’ by the ancient city of Feng County.

When Lu Cheng looked over at him, the big fat guy, Tong Yuan’an, also saw Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu.

Tong Yuan’an smiled and was just about to stand up when a commotion was heard from afar.

”Someone’s dead. Blood...”

Following the direction of their eyes, Lu Cheng, Mu Nanshu, and Tong Yuan’an saw a small car that, after knocking over a crowd, reversed several times, and then continued to speed forward.

The direction it headed was exactly where Tong Yuan’an was eating noodles.
