Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 644: Chapter 197 Cooperation Intentions_3

But his understanding of Chen Ming is still not complete, even somewhat underestimating him.

Bai Quan’s perception of Chen Ming is mainly focused on Spiritual Energy, rather than Chen Ming’s own abilities.

Of course, this is not to belittle Chen Ming, as a psychic’s Spiritual Energy is naturally their ability, and Chen Ming is outstanding.

Moreover, the frightening learning ability Chen Ming has displayed recently is indeed exaggerated.

However, Chen Ming’s learning ability is more focused on learning command technology, while in other learning areas...

Although Bai Quan knows that Chen Ming is indeed learning, no matter how he looks at it, Chen Ming, before becoming a psychic, was merely a team leader of a logistics maintenance group in a Space Station of a subsidiary of Sinda Corporation in the Edge Star Realm.

The technical ability is decent, but when viewed in a larger context, it’s just that.

Chen Ming has never shown any research ability before, only catching up later, and frankly, it’s hard to believe.

But now, the director of their Fourteenth Legion’s direct research institute personally came because of Chen Ming’s thesis, which forces Bai Quan to raise his evaluation of Chen Ming.

Not only in terms of Spiritual Energy but also in other abilities as an ordinary person.

Bai Quan then planned to find Chen Ming again to talk about this matter.

So facing Chen Ming’s seemingly teasing words, Bai Quan could only keep a straight face and pretend nothing happened.

After all, since Chen Ming actively mentioned this matter before the thesis was completed, it shows that he has the intention of trading with the Fourteenth Legion.

And this thesis, enough to make the research institute director personally seek him out, along with the technology contained in the thesis, could never be willingly pushed away by him.

Just as Bai Quan thought, Chen Ming wasted no more words, adjusted his mindset slightly, and formally said to Bai Quan, ”So, what are your thoughts?”

Bai Quan cleared his throat and said, ”Firstly, to confirm one thing, this technology was developed by you personally?”

”That is certainly the case, and you should’ve already investigated, right?”

”Indeed, we didn’t find any similar research.”

That’s obvious.

Chen Ming had checked before deeply maintaining and researching this technology; no one within the Empire had ever conducted similar research.

Especially since the entire research plan was inspired by samples from abandoned research plans of Dusk when Chen Ming was still there.

If Dusk’s abandoned plans had been mastered by humans, this Star Realm’s Dusk would’ve long been extinct.

No chance for Chen Ming to conduct the research.

Though these were abandoned plans by Dusk, after Chen Ming’s development and deep maintenance, the effect was impressive enough to marvel at.

This technology named Stable Superspace Channel Teleportation Engine, its product, rather than being an engine, is more of an additional device mounted on the engine similar to the Superspace Navigation System.

Once stabilized, the effects are simple and straightforward.

All it takes is a coordinate and significantly higher fuel consumption than normal universe navigation, and a ship equipped with this apparatus can teleport in Superspace.

No need to mention the teleportation effect; any Cruiser would already be equipped with a teleportation engine.

The truly unique and powerful aspect of this Superspace Channel Teleportation Engine is its ability to be installed on Frigates.

Allowing Frigates to teleport as well.

It goes without saying; Chen Ming browsed through many related materials.

Discovering many had tried to study lightweight and miniaturized teleportation engines.

But as of now, no one has succeeded, no one has thought to utilize Superspace for near-teleportation effects.

Dusk thought of similar methods, although their research failed, possibly due to conceptual issues they didn’t continue, leaving research inspiration and failed processes for Chen Ming.

Initially, Chen Ming also didn’t succeed; reckless use of unstable Superspace Channel Teleportation Engines is practically suicidal.

Until this technology underwent deep optimization through Spiritual Energy, did he achieve what no one could achieve so far.

Though Chen Ming’s technology means any Frigate without an installed Antimatter Engine would have its fuel depleted after one Superspace teleportation.

Yet this is limited by the rules of physics.

Furthermore, the Superspace Channel Teleportation Engine doesn’t directly use teleportation engines usable in the normal universe, instead utilizing Superspace’s gravity wells for pseudo-teleportation, consuming more energy is normal too.

Whether there’s remaining fuel after teleportation is one thing, the ability to teleport is another.

One teleportation signifies an opportunity, possibly for escape, possibly for victory.

Thus, this engine holds its value for Frigates.

For higher tiers like Destroyers, it’s needless to mention.

Their equivalency can support the consumption of this Superspace Channel Teleportation Engine technology, unlike Frigates which need further consideration.

And for more advanced ships, flexibility is even greater.

Given Superspace Channel Teleportation Engine technology and the Cruise’s normal use of teleportation engines, they aren’t the same system.

They don’t conflict.

Which means any Cruiser and above can opt to install two systems.
