Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 623: Chapter 192 The Source of Danger_2

But facing combat directly still made it difficult for him to suppress his excitement.

However, he was also clear about what he should be doing now.

So after excitedly clearing away a few Mechanical Race units that were interfering with him, Chen Ming immediately touched the Cruiser beneath him and actively activated Spiritual Energy.

The result was unsurprising, the control failed.

And when Chen Ming wasn’t directly invoking his Spiritual Energy himself,

but instead used the panel option of [Detected ship signal, connect?],

he received a [Signal conflict, unable to connect] prompt.

This result made Chen Ming pause for half a second.

He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the roiling emotions in his heart.

He rose again, flying with the Biomass Armor into the sky, returning to the Supreme Point.

A few seconds later, a large amount of metallic liquid flowed from the Supreme Point, once again transformed by Chen Ming into a dozen different functional mechanical arms.

These mechanical arms acted on the nearby Mechanical Race Cruisers, dismantling the infrastructure connecting the Mechanical Race Cruisers to the ground, uprooting the Cruisers that had already taken root on the ground.

Although Spiritual Energy couldn’t control it, physical control was no problem.

Taking away the Cruiser, there would always be future opportunities to control it with Spiritual Energy.

After firmly fixing the Mechanical Race Cruiser to the bottom of the Supreme Point, Chen Ming controlled the Supreme Point to fly into space.

At this time, on the other side of the city, the Defender and Giant, aided by the Insect Race ground units, had already controlled most of the Mechanical Race that could be taken, stuffing them onto the ship.

They, too, were fully loaded with Mechanical Race units that could not be controlled, following the Supreme Point, flying into space.

At this time, the few Cruisers Chen Ming had left in space were still safely in orbit, unaffected by any attacks or other interference.

Thus, Chen Ming directly activated the Teleportation Engine.

But as expected, the process of the Teleportation Engine was interrupted before it could even begin.

The Mechanical Race had already arrived outside the Star System and started blocking the internal Star System as soon as they became aware of Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy.

However, as Chen Ming had sensed something was wrong beforehand, he focused on efficiency while doing things on the Planet.

So just when the Mechanical Race hadn’t fully completed the blockade of the Star System’s Teleportation Engine, he returned to space and sensed the gap in the incomplete blockade of the Star System by the Mechanical Race.

As long as Chen Ming’s ship could reach that not yet fully sealed gap, he could avoid the situation of potentially being trapped and beaten in the Star System by the Mechanical Race.

So Chen Ming immediately commanded several Cruisers to sail toward that gap sensed by his Spiritual Energy.

And when Chen Ming’s fleet was about to reach the edge of the Star System,

through the scanning array of the Supreme Point, Chen Ming finally discovered the Mechanical Race Cruisers that had arrived long ago but had been hiding and were setting up blocking devices.

And others, protecting the Cruiser sealing the gap, the Escort Fleet.

In fact, to prevent Chen Ming from bypassing the teleportation and directly flying out of the blockade area using the ship’s engines through regular space,

the Mechanical Race had arranged multiple Cruisers around the Star System; just that, more were arranged at this especially unsealed gap.

But for Chen Ming, the Mechanical Race’s fleet here, only about a dozen Cruisers posed a real hassle.

So Chen Ming chose to completely disregard the losses, to maximize the effectiveness of his Spiritual Energy.

From the Stardust Level flight deck, five consecutive volleys totaling eight thousand Meteor Unmanned Fighters flew out, carrying a terrifying red glow, swooping toward the Mechanical Race’s fleet blocking the gap.

As long as he could break through the defense line formed by these Cruisers, Chen Ming could safely activate the Teleportation Engine and retreat fully intact.

But as Chen Ming’s fleet penetrated the scanning range of the Mechanical Race, they responded very swiftly.

In just a dozen seconds, over twenty more Cruisers located at different positions within the Star System made short-distance emergency teleportations, arriving at the gap to block Chen Ming.

Furthermore, the scanning array on the Supreme Point also detected a new teleportation wave.

The massive coverage of this teleportation wave made Chen Ming’s eyes widen involuntarily.

Because behind this teleportation wave was either at least more than fifty Cruiser fleets or, the Main Ship had arrived.

Twenty to thirty Cruisers, with Chen Ming risking everything, he could take on with his fleet’s terrifying offensive and defensive capabilities.

But a number exceeding eighty Cruisers really wasn’t something Chen Ming’s five Cruisers plus one Stardust could contend with.

The Main Ship? Don’t even mention it, only a Main Ship could threaten another Main Ship, and without a Main Ship on the front battlefield, all other ships were worthless.

Therefore, if the Mechanical Race were to delay for another thirty seconds or less, he would utterly have no chance to escape.

So Chen Ming made a decision instantly.

He must jump immediately.

In fact, when Chen Ming arrived near the gap and saw the Mechanical Race setting up teleportation blockade devices at the periphery of the Star System, he could have activated the Teleportation Engine then.

It’s just that the Cruiser activating the Teleportation Engine would almost have no defense if attacked.

Therefore, earlier Chen Ming intended to first take down the fleet here, thoroughly break through the Star System’s boundaries, and then initiate the jump, which was the safest course.

But now the situation was clearly not so smooth.

So Chen Ming’s choice now was to sacrifice a Defender without an Alpha Level Dusk core and that was carrying the fewest Mechanical Race units.
