Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 636: Chapter 195 Phase Space_3

”Will do.”

Chen Ming chatted with the director for a while about things that had happened and could be talked about before leaving the director’s office.

After picking up a batch of living supplies temporarily transferred by Lao Wu, he returned to the Supreme Point.

After making a phone call to inform the boss he was returning to the Space Station for a few days.

Chen Ming planned to directly start the tasks he intended to do upon unexpectedly returning.

Some things can be done anywhere, but others are more valuable if done upon returning to the Empire.

Such as using spiritual energy to deeply repair certain technologies.

As for what technologies to deeply repair, Chen Ming had already thought about it.

First would be the antimatter reactor and antimatter engine technologies that the Empire seems to be vigorously promoting now.

No technology is extremely mature upon first appearance.

It would definitely undergo a lot of testing and experiments for gradual updates and iterations.

Yet Chen Ming’s spiritual energy can skip these steps.

Therefore, when Chen Ming performs deep repairs on the related antimatter technology, the benefits should be the greatest.

Coincidentally, he has a Stardust ship equipped with an antimatter engine.

And since Chen Ming’s deep repair spiritual energy only affects the target, any removable components won’t be deeply repaired along with Chen Ming’s spiritual energy.

This means the Stardust-level engine hasn’t been deeply repaired yet, and can be dismantled for related experiments at any time.

This is also why Chen Ming previously returned the Stardust-level back to the Space Station instead of following other ships to the temporary base.

Besides the antimatter technology, there’s another item Chen Ming intends to deeply repair.

It’s the unstable hyperspace navigation teleportation engine he somewhat developed himself.

Although the inspiration came from the discarded research files from Dusk.

The ability to create the thing subsequently relied on Chen Ming’s maintenance spiritual energy fearless of loss, transformation spiritual energy freely adaptable, and his understanding of the now widespread and not very profound superspace technology.

Chen Ming’s initial idea was to use superspace to achieve a near-teleportation effect for the spaceship.

Unfortunately, he was limited by his technical level earlier, resulting in a highly unstable outcome.

The teleportation effect Chen Ming wanted wasn’t achieved, instead, a bizarre random teleportation effect occurred.

His long-gone Refraction ship was lucky to have landed in the crevice between the Mechanical Race, Dusk, and the Human Empire after installing the thing, but a bit of bad luck might have transported it somewhere dangerous.

Chen Ming only used it once, and subsequently didn’t have time for deep study and testing.

So this technology has been shelved until today.

However, Chen Ming believes as long as the technology undergoes his spiritual energy’s deep repair, there will definitely be significant changes in effect.

Of course, starting over this research given Chen Ming’s current technical level isn’t impossible, though surely time-consuming.

Since spiritual energy can save time, Chen Ming feels no need to research honestly.

Knowing the answer to deduce backward is far easier than calculating slowly by oneself.

Anyway, the final research result he deduces is certainly unproblematic and not stealing anyone else’s labor fruits, and no one could find fault.

When the time comes, Chen Ming would likely publish the result in his name on a research journal within the Empire.

After all, Chen Ming does have pursuits, and gaining wide recognition in technology is something he’s always wanted.

Additionally, there’s another reason Chen Ming wants to publish the research result.

He’s short on funds.

Even if Sinda Corporation had just given him thirty billion, it still isn’t enough due to exploration consumption being more than he imagined.

Also, the recent battle against the Mechanical Race consumed far more supplies than he previously estimated.

Chen Ming has been out for less than two months, completed only one teleportation, and built only one temporary base, while only exploring less than 80% of the star system within a 400-light-year radius.

Yet the material consumption is already incredibly vast.

And Chen Ming’s target for a settlement star system is at least seven or eight extreme teleportation distances away.

Not to mention he has another target, the coordinates of the Mechanical Race satellite transmitting communication signals.

That’s even thirteen extreme distances teleportation away.

Even if Chen Ming’s search for a colony and the path to the Mechanical Race coordinate coincidentally aligns, the consumption in between is surely not covered by the thirty billion alone.

He can’t rely solely on the antimatter technology patents for living; what he independently develops truly belongs to him.

The next day.

Without Chen Ming finding Bai Quan to start a day’s teaching, Bai Quan called in.

Started off by saying, ”I have asked about the matter yesterday, and there’s a result, but explaining to you in detail requires signing a contract.”

Bai Quan said and sent Chen Ming an electronic contract, which was a confidentiality agreement.

After checking it was satisfactory, Chen Ming signed directly.

Upon confirming, Bai Quan organized his words and began, ”Let me introduce you to a fundamental concept, Phase Space.”

”Phase Space is a unique space independent of the normal universe and superspace.”

”What occurs inside Phase Space cannot be observed by ordinary means, but under specific circumstances, what lies within Phase Space can affect the normal universe and superspace.”
