Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 640: Chapter 196 Shao Yang’s Connection_3

Chen Ming hadn’t spoken yet when Shao Yang said, ”The items you want are currently in short supply. If you’ve been following the recent news, you should know that equipment related to antimatter technology is in high demand now.”

”However, I’ve found a way to basically get everything sorted out for you, except for one Antimatter Particle Capture Device, which is genuinely out of stock and unavailable for now. You’ll have to wait for some time.”

Finding equipment so quickly was already an unexpected surprise for Chen Ming, so he immediately thanked Shao Yang, ”It’s alright, I can wait. Thank you for your help.”

”Okay.”

Shao Yang accepted Chen Ming’s gratitude nonchalantly and then said, ”Besides talking about the equipment, there’s another matter I want to discuss with you.”

”What is it? Go ahead.”

”There was a slight issue with the data from your end regarding the Supreme Point, just last week.”

Chen Ming’s expression changed slightly, and he suddenly became aware of a problem.

The Supreme Point, this spaceship he had obviously deep-maintained, was clearly different from before.

As the designer who completed the Supreme Point alone, could he detect some changes on the ship through the transformations in the transmitted data?

Chen Ming thought the answer should be obvious.

”So...”

Shao Yang straightforwardly said, ”So I want to collaborate with you.”

”Your spiritual energy should not only control the ship and related things but also have the ability to optimize spaceship designs, and it’s an unrestricted optimization.”

”I’ve looked into you, and your current level of knowledge is definitely not enough to optimize the Supreme Point. The Supreme Point has only been developed for three months until today, and no one could optimize it.”

Shao Yang’s tone was very confident and full of pride.

”That’s why when I received your data, after considering it over and over, I finally determined that the reason for the data changes lies with you.”

”Am I right?”

Chen Ming retorted, ”Have you considered that I might have fabricated false data to deceive you?”

”Mr. Wu An would not select someone who would do that.”

Alright, bluffing and lying seemed pointless, so Chen Ming asked, ”How do you want to collaborate?”

”I hope you can bring that Supreme Point to me, allowing me to understand its structure and draft a new blueprint.”

Upon hearing this request, Chen Ming immediately declined politely, ”You know what I’m doing now, right? The Supreme Point is still very important to me.”

At this moment, in a research institute at the Fourteenth Legion headquarters, Shao Yang glanced at the computer next to him, showing the numerous data of the improved Supreme Point, a determined look flashed in his eyes.

He must understand exactly how Chen Ming’s spiritual energy optimized the Supreme Point after he had spent several years at Speed Particle Technology in addition to his spiritual energy awakening.

Just right, recently, Chen Ming’s Supreme Point had brought back a lot of actual usage data.

And the various test results from the research institute also showed that the Supreme Peak Level exploration Cruiser indeed had its value as a new type of exploration ship.

With the joint support of the Spiritual Ability Association and the Fourteenth Legion, it had already been on sale.

He also managed to earn a tidy sum during this period.

So Shao Yang said to Chen Ming, ”I can give you an additional Supreme Point.”

”And after the tests on your Supreme Point are completed here, your improved Supreme Point will also be returned to you.”

Such conditions inevitably tempted Chen Ming, but he had to confirm one thing: ”How long will it take?”

”About a month.”

It was equivalent to Chen Ming renting out the Supreme Point for a month, and the rent was a new Supreme Point.

”I have a question...”

Chen Ming had just opened his mouth when Shao Yang directly said, ”The Supreme Point I gave you before was a prototype and is different from the ones being produced now, so it’s not possible for the Supreme Point to go there after your optimization and return here.”

”Alright, I can agree, but my ship has to wait for yours to arrive before heading over.”

”As long as your ship can arrive on time, I have no problem with it.”

”Sure.”

After all, Chen Ming’s ship could continuously phase jump, and once Shao Yang’s Cruiser arrived, it would only take a few minutes to fly back from outside the Empire, making it basically impossible to be late.

After discussing this matter, Shao Yang continued, ”Actually, I have another cooperative idea here.”

”Go on.”

”It’s very simple. I’ll do the research, and you do the optimization. Then, we’ll publish together and split all the profits fifty-fifty.”

”Or another way, I provide the technology, and you are responsible for the optimization. I will pay you based on your optimized results.”

Chen Ming ignored Shao Yang’s first proposal.

He had his own pursuits and would not engage in such cooperation with others.

But the second idea was somewhat intriguing.

Chen Ming asked, ”Let me ask you a question, is the technology you’re providing yours?”

”Of course not,” Shao Yang said as a matter of course, ”I just want to see what kind of changes a technology optimized by your spiritual energy will undergo.”

”Especially since you started acquiring equipment for researching antimatter technology, which indicates you’ve used your spiritual energy on antimatter technology.”

”If even antimatter technology can be optimized, it means other technologies are definitely not a problem for you.”

”I want to understand your spiritual energy optimization mindset and attempt to learn its logic.”
