After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 300: Chapter 301 Her Invitation

”Mhm.”

Leng Zimo kept his gaze on the road ahead.

He dared not look at her, afraid that just one glance would make him unable to resist going upstairs with her.

This little girl was his undoing, just the slightest contact with her was enough to make him lose control.

Luo Xiaoqian stole a glance at him, hesitated as she stretched one foot out of the car, bit her lip, and then withdrew her foot, closing the car door again.

When he heard the sound of the door closing, Leng Zimo turned to her with confusion and asked, ”What’s wrong?”

”I... I...” Luo Xiaoqian hugged her purse nervously. She didn’t have the courage to ask him to stay, so she had to make up an excuse, ”I ate too much ice cream and now my stomach hurts, could you take me upstairs?”

Stomach ache?

Upon hearing Luo Xiaoqian complain about a stomach ache, Leng Zimo became nervous immediately. He reached over to fasten her seatbelt, his arm raised worriedly to feel her forehead, ”I’ll take you to the hospital right away.”

Luo Xiaoqian grabbed his arm, ”I don’t want to go to the hospital.”

”No way!” Leng Zimo started the car, ”A stomach ache is not a trivial matter, what if...”

”I’ll be fine just drinking some hot water upstairs,” Luo Xiaoqian murmured.

Leng Zimo turned his face to her, his palm resting on her head, ”Be good, just listen to me, we’ll just have a checkup, and if the doctor says there’s nothing wrong...”

”I know my body, it’s really okay.”

”Xiao Qian, don’t be stubborn. Don’t underestimate a stomachache, sometimes it could be a sign of another illness. What if we delay...”

Luo Xiaoqian was about to explode with frustration.

Isn’t he supposed to be smart? How can he not see she is lying?

She just... just doesn’t want him to leave, that’s all. Could it be that after spending so much time with her, this man also became foolish?

In anger and embarrassment, she shook off his hand.

”I said I won’t go, and I won’t. I know my body. If you don’t want to take me upstairs, then forget it, I’m getting out of the car!”

She unfastened her seatbelt and was about to open the door and leave in a huff.

Listening to her outburst and noticing her ears, red as if they were about to bleed, Leng Zimo suddenly realized what was happening. He grabbed her hand and pulled her back into the seat, holding onto her and accelerating the car into the underground parking lot.

Before the car had come to a complete stop, he had already opened the door and stepped out, striding over to her side.

No sooner had Luo Xiaoqian set one foot on the ground than he swept her up in his arms, kicked the car door closed with a careless foot, and carried her quickly into the elevator.

”You... seem to have not locked the car,” Luo Xiaoqian said softly, nestled in his arms.

Forget it!

At this point, he was completely unable to care about the car.

”Does it really not hurt anymore?”

Leng Zimo let go of her legs, allowing her to stand within his embrace, pressing her into a corner of the elevator. Now that he had seen through her, Luo Xiaoqian’s heart beat even faster.

”Now... it doesn’t hurt anymore,” she said blushing.

Leng Zimo enveloped her in his arms and once again, his kiss descended, covering her lips.

The journey upstairs, from the elevator to the door, was just a few steps. Yet it took almost five minutes for the two of them to make it there.

By the time they finally reached the door, Luo Xiaoqian tried several times to enter the password but kept pressing the wrong keys.

With him holding her from behind, her fingers almost felt too soft to press the buttons.

”Zimo, I... I can’t open the door...”

With no other option, Luo Xiaoqian had to seek assistance from Leng Zimo.

With one arm around her, Leng Zimo moved his other hand over hers, guiding her tiny fingers to enter the code one by one.
