After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 259: Chapter 260 Waiting for You to Drive Me Away [6]

She carelessly tossed her T-shirts into her suitcase, not bothering to arrange them carefully, and soon the clothes had filled the suitcase to the brim. She randomly stuffed the corners of the clothes sticking out back into the suitcase, trying to close the lid, but no matter what she did, it wouldn’t shut.

Finally, with one strong pull, the zipper pull on the suitcase actually came off in her hand.

”Damn it!”

Clutching the zipper pull, Luo Xiaoqian collapsed powerlessly onto the floor.

In her bag, the phone rang.

Luo Xiaoqian reached for her phone, and Xu Xiaoyang’s name was displayed on the screen; she answered the call.

”Teacher Xu?”

”Xiao Qian, are you feeling any better from your injury?”

Last time, their planned street photoshoot didn’t happen because Luo Xiaoqian got injured, so they agreed to schedule another time.

Luo Xiaoqian covered her face with her hand, trying to control her emotions, ”I’m really sorry, Teacher Xu; it might be a few days’ delay. I’m currently recording a single and also need to shoot a music video. It will probably keep me busy for over a week!”

”No problem!” Xu Xiaoyang sounded very understanding on the other end of the line, ”As it happens, I’m going to Europe with President Leng, so I will be away for about a week as well. Shall we reschedule when we get back?”

At the mention of Leng Zimo, Luo Xiaoqian felt a surge of anxiety, ”You and Leng Zimo... President Leng are together?”

”No, I’m still on my way to the airport. The original plan was for tomorrow, but for some reason, he suddenly moved it up to this afternoon...” Xu Xiaoyang laughed over the phone, ”Why, do you need to talk to him about something?”

”No, not at all...” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly denied, ”I was just asking. You go ahead with your tasks, Teacher Xu; we’ll stay in touch.”

After hanging up the phone, she felt much calmer looking at her suitcase in front of her.

If Leng Zimo saw that she had left on her own, he would probably be beside himself with rage. A person like him, even if he truly wanted her to leave, would definitely insist on being the one to say it.

He had done so much for her; how could she just leave like this?

Let her wait until he returned. Then, she would let him vent in any way he wished—hitting her, scolding her, it didn’t matter as long as it made him feel a little better. She would rather bear his anger, then she could leave afterwards.

Having made this decision, Luo Xiaoqian felt much more relaxed, both physically and mentally.

No longer concerning herself with her clothes, she stood up and neatly reorganized his mess of a wardrobe. Then she went upstairs, grabbed a cloth and a mop, and started cleaning the room, moving on to the kitchen. As she was cleaning, she paused at the refrigerator, set down the mop, walked over, and opened the door, considering the food inside.

After tidying up the kitchen, she dashed upstairs, found a recipe for Three Delicacies Dumplings on her phone, and then went back to the kitchen to start preparing.

The things he wanted from her were things she couldn’t give, but these at least could be her final acts for him, to ease her mind a bit.

Mixing the filling, kneading the dough, rolling the wrappers...

Luo Xiaoqian, wrapping dumplings for the first time in her life, busied herself until late at night before she finally finished. She placed the wrapped dumplings in the freezer, and by the time she had finished cleaning the kitchen, she was so tired her back ached. After washing her hands, she walked over to the couch, planning to rest for a moment, but she fell asleep immediately.

In the middle of the night, she woke up feeling cold.

Opening her eyes and seeing the black and white chandelier above her, a melody suddenly came into her mind. Luo Xiaoqian got up and rushed into the piano room.

Soon, a pleasant melody drifted from the piano room.
