After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 291: Chapter 292: Awkwardness in One Word [1]

Sitting in the taxi, Luo Xiao Qian carefully opened the CD case, took out the pen from her bag, thought for a moment, and then earnestly wrote a few words on the blank space and signed her name at the end.

After blowing the ink dry, noticing a gift shop on the roadside, she immediately asked the driver to stop the car, walked into the store, and wrapped the CD with a beautiful ink-blue paper adorned with stars.

From here, the restaurant wasn’t too far away, so she simply walked there holding the neatly wrapped CD.

This was her first CD. Without Leng Zimo, there would be no CD, and the song ”White Moonlight” inside was a specially adapted version by him. For her, this CD held immense significance, which is why she wanted to buy one personally to give to him.

Entering the elevator, Luo Xiao Qian looked at the CD in her hand, smiled, and carefully placed the wrapped CD into her backpack.

He had given her so many surprises, and this time, she was determined to give him a surprise as well.

Walking into the restaurant, Luo Xiao Qian curiously looked around but didn’t find Leng Zimo in the main hall.

The receptionist at the restaurant greeted her with a smile and approached her, ”Hello, Miss, are you here to dine or to meet someone?”

”It’s like this: I have a friend who has made a reservation here,” Luo Xiao Qian explained with a smile.

”May I ask the surname of this friend of yours? Is it a gentleman or a lady?” the other party inquired.

”Leng, Mr. Leng.”

”Very well, please follow me. I’ll help you check,” the receptionist said.

The two of them went to the front desk together where the receptionist scrolled through the reservation records on the computer.

After a moment, she looked up with a smile, ”I’m very sorry, but I didn’t find any reservation under the name Mr. Leng.”

Leng Zimo’s affairs were generally handled by Ailin, so maybe it was Ailin who made the reservation.

Luo Xiao Qian raised her eyebrows, ”Then... what about Miss Ai?”

The receptionist glanced at the screen again and kindly reminded her, ”Still no record. Could it be that you got the wrong restaurant or time?”

She had made a mistake?

”One moment, please!” Luo Xiao Qian took the card that was placed in the bouquet out of her bag and handed it to her, ”This address, it’s this place, right?”

The receptionist took the card from her, looked at it, and said, ”This is indeed our address, then... could it be that you mixed up the person who invited you?”

She had guessed the wrong person?!

Luo Xiao Qian took the card handed back to her and stared at the words ”Don’t miss the date.”

Could it be that it wasn’t Leng Zimo?

But if it wasn’t him, then who could it be? In Beijing, the people she could call friends were only Leng Zimo and Xu Xia. If not Leng Zimo, and Xu Xia was out of town, then who could it be?

After thanking her, Luo Xiao Qian walked out of the restaurant holding the card, then took out her phone from her bag and dialed Leng Zimo’s phone number again.

Even though she was sure it wasn’t Leng Zimo, she still decided to confirm. She didn’t want any misunderstandings between her and Leng Zimo.

The call connected quickly, and upon hearing Leng Zimo’s voice on the phone, Luo Xiao Qian immediately asked, ”Zimo, where are you?”

”In the car,” Leng Zimo replied naturally with a gentle tone upon hearing her voice, ”I’ll be home soon.”

Going to be home soon?

So, that means the one who made the reservation truly wasn’t him!

Luo Xiao Qian internally panicked.

”Where are you now?” she quickly asked.

”Just come downstairs in fifteen minutes...”

Before Leng Zimo could finish his sentence on the phone, a figure had already appeared in front of her.
