After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 279: Chapter 280 On the Matter of Dating [7]

The next day, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t wake up until almost noon.

With no sign of Leng Zimo, she wasn’t surprised; that workaholic had surely gone to work again.

She reached out for the watch on the table and noticed a sticky note on the bedside lamp, she peeled it off.

”There’s breakfast in the fridge, remember to heat it up.”

The familiar handwriting was undoubtedly Leng Zimo’s.

It was past eleven, and Luo Xiaoqian scrambled out of bed in a hurry, only to settle back onto the pillow moments later.

Since she had finished her work a day early, she had no job to do all day today—essentially, it was her last day off before starting the promotions and various announcements—so naturally, she wanted to linger in bed a bit longer.

After lazing in bed for over half an hour, she finally got up and took her time showering, noticing marks of intimacy on her body in the mirror, which made her blush and heart race, feeling both embarrassed and cross.

She’d been tricked by that bastard again—how was that a date!

Humph, she wouldn’t let him succeed next time.

After showering with indignation, she warmed up the breakfast Leng Zimo prepared for her and filled her empty stomach. Then, she promptly tied her hair up and began to tidy up the room.

Changing the sheets, organizing the bedroom, mopping the floors... she cleaned from top to floor, and when she noticed the music scores she hadn’t put away in the piano room, she busied herself with tidying them up.

Although she wrote the song because of Leng Zimo, she really didn’t want him to see it.

But then, she saw the cigar ashes in the ashtray.

Done for, he must have seen it!

That guy would surely laugh at her, right?

Let him laugh then; after all, it was her true feelings at the time, and it didn’t matter now that he knew.

Having sorted out the music scores, Luo Xiaoqian pursed her lips and continued to clean up.

...

...

At Emperor View Group, in the office.

Leng Zimo handed the signed documents to his assistant and glanced at the watch on his wrist. Seeing the assistant turning to leave, he called her back.

”Wait a second.”

”Do you have any other instructions?” the assistant asked as she turned back respectfully.

”I just want to ask, where do you girls like to go for dates?” he asked with a serious expression.

Having never dated before, Leng Zimo had never really asked someone out, but considering Luo Xiaoqian’s feelings, he thought to inquire with the assistant who was around Luo Xiaoqian’s age.

The assistant was newly employed and hadn’t yet become immune to Leng Zimo.

This was her first conversation of this sort with Leng Zimo, and she excitedly blushed, ”If it were me, I’d like to watch movies, go shopping... World Trade Sky Street, Blue Harbor are pretty good...”

Watching movies, shopping?!

Leng Zimo raised an eyebrow, ”Boring!”

Watching movies was already part of his job. Emperor View produced so many movies each year, and he was familiar with most of them—what was there to see.

As for shopping, unless there was something that must be bought, he thought it was an utter waste of time.

The assistant paused, hurrying to add, ”Or you could go to bars, Houhai and Sanlitun are nice, or you could eat your way through Gui Street...”

Bars? That sort of place wasn’t suitable for Luo Xiaoqian.

Gui Street? Food safety was a complete gamble.

”Right, there’s also the amusement park, places like Happy Valley aren’t bad, or you could go for a hike up Xiangshan Mountain...”

Amusement parks are for kids. And as for climbing, Luo Xiaoqian’s tiny frame surely wouldn’t stand up to it.
