After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 273: Chapter 274: Return [1]

From the Maldives to Provence, France, then to Hokkaido, Japan, Luo Xiaoqian followed the film crew to three countries consecutively before rushing back to China. After filming in Hangzhou, she redirected to Dali, Yunnan, and then went on to the final destination of Xinjiang.

In just over a week, with such a hefty workload, Luo Xiaoqian spent most of her time on airplanes besides working.

On the other side, Leng Zimo was in the same boat; for location scouting for a new movie, he too hopped on multiple flights.

The two of them didn’t even have a chance to make phone calls.

Either she was on a plane or at work.

Or he was on a plane or at work.

However, that didn’t prevent them from staying in touch with each other via text messages.

She would send him a picture of the lavender in Provence, telling him that even though the blossoms weren’t in full swing at the time, there was a different kind of beauty to them.

He would also send her a photo of the pink waves on the pink sand beach, mentioning that couples had flocked there from all over the world.

...

Almost every time she (he) landed, whether it was day or night, her (his) phone would receive a message from the other person as soon as it was turned on.

Even though the two were physically far apart, one in the far south and the other in the far north, they seemed closer than when they were together before.

Fortunately, the desert shoot wrapped up smoothly, and they completed the filming a full day earlier than originally planned.

While waiting for the plane at the airport, the director was on the phone discussing editing and special effects with the post-production team, and Zhuo Yannan was inquiring about the progress of the single’s cover printing and production... Everyone was busy.

Completing the filming was only a part of the entire job; after returning to Beijing, they still had a lot of work to do. Even Yu Tong was constantly on the phone arranging various program notifications. During this time, the most leisurely person turned out to be Luo Xiaoqian.

She took out her phone to message Leng Zimo that she was returning to the Capital a day early, but just then, a text message came in.

”I have arrived in the Capital.”

The message came from ”Big Fool.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s heart leaped with joy. To her surprise, he had returned to Beijing so quickly, which meant she could see him as soon as she got back to the Capital.

”Great, I’m also heading back to Beijing soon...”

She quickly typed her response, thought about it, and then exited the draft.

Knowing she was coming back, he would definitely come to pick her up at the airport. After working for so long, he must be very tired. It would be best to let him rest well at home.

Thinking about the surprised expression on his face when she would walk through the door, she lightly laughed, and her heart started racing again.

Sitting in the departure lounge, she kept glancing at her wristwatch, wishing she could sprout wings and fly straight to Beijing Airport.

Finally, when boarding time arrived, Luo Xiaoqian turned off her phone with a smile.

From Urumqi to Beijing, the three and a half hour flight didn’t bring her even a moment of sleepiness.

By the time she arrived in Beijing, it was nearly midnight. After dealing with a few reporters who seemed to have gotten wind of her arrival, the group took the company’s car back to the city. They had to return to the company to continue working, but Luo Xiaoqian had nothing to do, so she got off near World City.

She jogged all the way to the 19th floor, excitedly entered the room, and seeing the living room lights off, Luo Xiaoqian raised an eyebrow in confusion.

It was late; had he not come back yet, or was he still at work?!

Dragging her suitcase inside, she casually turned on the light and was about to change her shoes when her phone started ringing.
