After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 278: Chapter 279: Writing a Love Song for You [6]

Before she could clear her thoughts, his kiss had already descended.

Luo Xiaoqian could no longer think, only heating up in the fervor of his kiss.

The air was completely taken from her, and she almost couldn’t breathe.

That kiss, of unknown duration, seemed both brief and as long as an entire world; just when she thought she would suffocate in that kiss, he finally released her lips.

”Wait a minute!”

Luo Xiaoqian started to speak, breathlessly, and immediately noticed her voice was strangely rough and husky, as though it wasn’t her voice.

”What’s the matter?”

Leng Zimo asked softly, his arms still not releasing her.

”Isn’t dating supposed to start with a date?” Luo Xiaoqian asked in his embrace.

Shouldn’t male-female interactions start with a date, then holding hands, kissing, and only then reach this step?

”Are you free?”

He whispered into her ear.

”Hm?”

All her hairs stood on end; she shrank back slightly, a bit unclear why he was asking this.

Leng Zimo lifted his face, gazing intently into her eyes at close range, ”Our date starts now.”

A date?

On a pillow!

Is there such a date?!

”But...”

Before she could say anything else, he was already moving over her.

...

...

After completing her ”first date” with Leng Zimo, Luo Xiaoqian quickly fell into a heavy sleep amid her exhaustion.

Leng Zimo looked at her small face, tinged red under the light, but he felt no hint of sleepiness.

Having just returned from across the ocean, his internal clock was still set to a different time zone.

Moving quietly, he got up, pulled the thin blanket over her, and Leng Zimo casually took a nightgown from the closet to put on, showered in the downstairs bathroom, and leisurely lit a cigar. Noticing that the door to the music room was open, he walked over intending to close the door, but the light from the living room revealed several sheets of music on the piano. Curious, he turned on the light and stepped in, picking up the sheets from the piano.

”Because inadvertently crossing the lines of your life, disrupting your chords

...”

On the paper was precisely the new song Luo Xiaoqian had written the night he left — ”The Occasional Crossing.”

In the lyrics, she vividly expressed that emotion of wanting to love yet fearing to do so.

Leng Zimo understood the songs; looking at the lyrics, he already grasped her feelings.

Seeing the line, ”I am but a fleeting scene to you, yet you are the brightest stroke in my life,” his heart ached once more.

How could this girl be so self-deprecating?!

Where did she know that she was, in fact, the brightest stroke in his life!

A surge of emotions filled his heart, and Leng Zimo put the cigar on an ashtray on the small table beside him, sat at the piano, took a pen from the rack, and after a moment of contemplation, wrote down three words on the blank score above, ”Only You.”

Then, his hands fell on the piano keys. Leng Zimo, who hadn’t written a song in many years and had never written a love song since his debut, began to write his first love song.

All of this, just because of you.

Only You.

Luo Xiaoqian!

The next day, Luo Xiaoqian slept until almost noon before she fully awoke from her slumber.

Not seeing Leng Zimo beside her, she wasn’t surprised; that guy was a complete workaholic and had probably gone off to work.

Reaching for her watch on the table, she noticed a sticky note on the bedside lamp and pulled it off.

”There’s breakfast in the fridge, remember to heat it up.”

The familiar handwriting was naturally from Leng Zimo.

The time showed it was already past eleven o’clock. Luo Xiaoqian scrambled out of bed in a rush, then a moment later, lay back down on the pillow.
