After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 281: Chapter 282: Not a Greedy Person [9]

She opened the car door, and the first thing she did was apologize, ”I’m sorry for the delay, selecting clothes took longer than I expected...”

Before she could finish, her gaze was already killed by the huge bouquet in front of her eyes.

There weren’t any flowers in the bouquet, instead, between layers of rose-red and pale pink silk, the flowers were represented by golden chocolates. The gold and pale pink complemented each other, adding a sense of playful elegance, especially the row of extremely cute, plush pale pink teddy bears that surrounded it.

Looking at the bouquet on the passenger seat, she asked cautiously.

”Is this for me?”

”Of course.” Leng Zimo looked at her expression, ”Do you like it?”

The bouquet was arranged by Ailin, and placed directly in his car. Upon first glance, Leng Zimo thought it was too childish, but there was no time left to change it, so he had to bite the bullet and bring it over.

”Of course!” Receiving a positive answer, Luo Xiaoqian excitedly hugged the bouquet to her chest and sat in the passenger seat, ”I’ve seen this online before, and I thought that if someone could give me a bouquet like this one day, walking down the street with it, surely a lot of girls would look at me with envy.”

Watching the bright expression of a little girl on her face, Leng Zimo’s heart finally settled back in place, ”If you like it, I’ll send you one every day.”

”No need, that would be such a waste!” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly refused, ”Just this one is enough. The chocolate should last quite a while if it is kept properly, and the teddy bears will never spoil. If they get dusty, I’ll just clean them up.”

She was never a greedy person.

Watching her gently stroke the teddy bears in the bouquet with her fingers, Leng Zimo’s heart ached slightly again.

”First, we’ll go to a movie, then dinner. Do you prefer Chinese, French, or Thai cuisine?”

”No need for anything too complicated, something simple is fine. Right, little bears?” Luo Xiaoqian pinched a teddy bear and in a cartoonish tone imitated the bear speaking, ”Xiao Qian is right, anything tastes good when eating with Zimo.”

Turning to see her childlike expression, his heart suddenly overflowed with an immensely warm feeling.

Reaching out to touch her cheek, he slowly pressed the accelerator.

”Then let’s go to the movie first.”

...

...

The two of them arrived at a cinema, and Luo Xiaoqian immediately ran to the promotion board to look around.

Since it was a weekday afternoon, not a weekend, there weren’t many people there to watch a movie, and with both of them in sunglasses, no one noticed them.

”I like this one!” Luo Xiaoqian saw the poster for ”Despicable Me” and immediately ran to it excitedly; then, thinking again, she turned to look at Leng Zimo, who was walking over slowly, ”Or else, you pick?”

He surely wouldn’t like such a childish movie, right?

Leng Zimo glanced at the poster, took her hand, and walked upstairs, leading her straight into cinema hall number 6.

”Seems like we haven’t bought tickets yet?” Luo Xiaoqian carefully reminded.

”No need for tickets.” Leng Zimo led her straight into the screening room.

It was a medium-sized screening room, with lights still on inside, casting shadows across the vast empty space, with not a single person in sight.

Luo Xiaoqian looked surprised, but Leng Zimo was already leading her by the hand to the best seats to sit down.

”Wait for me a second!”

After placing the bouquet on an empty chair next to her, Leng Zimo turned and left, only to return in a moment with two large tubs of popcorn, two drinks, and two servings of ice cream in his hands.
