After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 288: Chapter 289: The Big Shot Vomits Blood and Dies【6】

Under the escort of the staff, Luo Xiaoqian safely left the press conference and got into the business car downstairs.

The team’s phones started ringing one after another even while the car was on its way back to Emperor View.

”This is amazing!” Zhuo Yannan ended the call, ”Guess who that was from, the sales manager!”

Everyone turned around excitedly at the news, ”How many?”

Their responsibility was only for the promotional aspect; the sales team handled the sales figures, so a call from the sales manager meant numbers.

Zhuo Yannan stretched out his right hand, all five fingers extended.

”Five thousand?” Yu Tong asked softly.

Zhuo Yannan shook his head.

”It couldn’t be...” Xiao Zhou glanced at Luo Xiaoqian sitting in the front seat, ”Five hundred, right?”

”Wrong!” Zhuo Yannan laughed, ”Guess again?”

”Could it be...” Yu Tong clenched her fists, ”Fifty thousand?!”

”Congratulations, you got it right!” Even Zhuo Yannan, who had been through numerous major cases, could not hide his excitement, ”The sales manager just told me that since the start of the press conference, Middle Song, Ray Xun, and a few other companies have been calling in succession, and the total preorder volume has already exceeded fifty thousand, and... it is still growing!”

This news was undoubtedly extremely uplifting.

You see, although these record sales companies were long-term partners with Emperor View, for a newcomer like Luo Xiaoqian, even with Emperor View’s strong recommendation, the initial conservative stocking quantity would not exceed ten thousand. To add up to fifty thousand in such a short time, this clearly showed the success of the press conference.

No sooner had Zhuo Yannan finished speaking than another quiet girl in the back seat had also ended her call, ”I have another piece of good news to report, from the statistical numbers just a few hours ago when the song went live, the total number of paid downloads for ’Dropping Lip’ across major websites has already surpassed ten thousand!”

The whole car was surprised.

The record companies were just talking about shipment figures, but these online paid download numbers were solid.

And all this in just a few hours.

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t know much about the record market, nor did she understand the significance of these numbers. Seeing everyone so excited, she tentatively asked, ”Do these numbers mean that my sales are passable?”

”Passable?” Yu Tong laughed out loud, ”Xiao Qian, if these figures are just ’passable’ for you, then half of the big names in China’s music scene would be spitting blood to death!”

”Xiao Qian.” Zhuo Yannan stopped laughing, bent over, and walked over from his seat, ”May I shake your hand?”

Luo Xiaoqian extended her hand with a puzzled look.

Zhuo Yannan held her hand with both of his, ”Luo Xiaoqian, I hereby officially announce that you are no longer a newcomer. Congratulations, you have successfully joined the ranks of the big names!”

Luo Xiaoqian was stunned, then started to laugh, ”Ya Nan, are you joking with me too?”

”Do I look like I’m joking?” Zhuo Yannan sat down in an empty seat behind her, ”I can’t reveal the other figures as they are company secrets, but what I can tell you is this: Su Jin’s album that was released last year took an entire month from its release date to reach the figure you’ve just hit. Do you understand what I’m saying now?”

After the release date, an entire month is the golden period for record sales, generally achieving half or more of the total sales volume.
