After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 271: Chapter 272: Energized Like a Chicken on Steroids【8】

Yu Tong walked over with a smile, took the hot milk from Luo Xiaoqian’s tray, and placed it on the table before she scrutinized Luo Xiaoqian with her eyes, ”What’s with you? You’re all fired up, like you’re a different person.”

”Hehe!” Luo Xiaoqian responded with a smile, ”Isn’t it what you said? As soon as it gets light, it’s a brand-new day!”

Yu Tong gave her a blank look, ”But the sun hasn’t risen yet.”

”It might not be bright here, but it could already be bright somewhere else.”

Turning her head, Luo Xiaoqian gazed out of the window at the last shadows of night before dawn, yet it seemed as if she could see the sun that still shone brightly at midnight in Lapland.

Everyone had breakfast together, then drove to the previously chosen location to start the preparatory work before filming commenced.

At this time, it was just the early hours of the morning in the Maldives, and the darkest time before dawn was about to pass, as the first light of dawn appeared on the eastern horizon.

”Everyone to your positions, we’ll start shooting in fifteen minutes!”

Capturing the sunrise was a very challenging task.

Mother Nature isn’t an actor who can take direction and redo scenes over and over. Miss it once, and you have to wait until the next day.

Set designers, lighting technicians, cinematographers, makeup artists... everyone worked together, hurriedly making preparations, and Luo Xiaoqian was quickly pulled into the chair by Yu Tong, where the makeup artist and stylist began to work on her makeup and styling.

”Lighting OK!”

”Styling OK!”

”Actors OK!”

”Sound OK!”

...

”Action!”

As the director ordered the start and the clapper loader clapped the board, the first take of the sunrise over the sea officially began, with Luo Xiaoqian standing by the sea, looking up at the golden sunlight shimmering on the distant horizon as she began to sing along with the music.

”That night, under the moon’s first glance, your eyebrows like flames, stunning my eyes...”

Amidst the sea breeze, she slowly turned around.

Behind her, the morning sun burst forth, and in an instant, its golden rays bathed her in a dazzling golden halo.

Watching Luo Xiaoqian through the monitor, the director could tell that this segment only needed her to sing a few lines, but the effect was so good that he let her sing the whole song before calling cut.

”Very good!” Rising from his chair, the director gave Luo Xiaoqian a thumbs-up with a smiling face, ”Very natural. Next scene, get ready!”

The surrounding crew members all gave Luo Xiaoqian thumbs-ups. For a first-time film shooting, one take was enough to pass, a feat difficult even for professional actors from formal institutions. Luo Xiaoqian’s performance indeed deserved praise.

The next scene involved two actors, giving Luo Xiaoqian a break.

However, she didn’t take a seat and instead ran to the director’s side, curiously observing everyone’s work. When she noticed that the sound technician’s cables were tangled, she immediately ran over to help sort them out.

Despite having slept for just over two hours, Luo Xiaoqian’s performance today was absolutely outstanding. The guest actors also performed exceptionally well. The sunrise footage passed in one take, and the subsequent seaside shots were also very good, almost none exceeding three takes. The work scheduled to take two days was completed in just one.

”Cut! Perfect! Tomorrow morning, everyone can sleep in!”

”Hooray!”

All the crew members and actors cheered together.

The schedule was tight this time around; if they hadn’t finished shooting today, they would’ve had to get up early again tomorrow to finish before catching a flight to the next location...
