After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 301: Chapter 302: The Happiest Day

Leng Zimo gripped Luo Xiaoqian’s fingers, entering the door code one digit after another.

Finally, he input the last number.

The door, at last, opened.

As he entered with her in his arms, Leng Zimo kicked the door shut with his foot and looked down at Luo Xiaoqian in his embrace.

”Xiao Qian, I’m so happy,” he said.

Luo Xiaoqian just blushed, not daring to look at him.

Leng Zimo once again swept her into his arms and carried her upstairs to the bedroom.

With each step he took up the stairs, his gaze was fixed on her face, repeating emphatically.

”Luo Xiaoqian, in twenty-seven years, this is the happiest day of my life!”

Although she belonged to him, whether it was for the first time or as always.

But this time was different, because it was she who had invited him upstairs, which naturally meant something different to Leng Zimo.

It signified her acknowledgment of him.

Whether it was her heart or her being, she wanted to give herself to him.

Such acknowledgment was the best gift to him.

Luo Xiaoqian shyly pursed her lips and closed her eyes.

Upon reaching the upstairs, Leng Zimo carefully laid her down on the pillow.

Her long hair spread out, cascading over the pillow like beautiful silk.

A few strands of loose hair covered her cheeks on her forehead, slightly lazy yet so beautiful and adorable.

Luo Xiaoqian’s face was about to burn with shyness, but she did not look away. Instead, she bravely met his gaze, though slightly bashful, it was still the first time she was so bold.

Leng Zimo propped himself up with one arm on the bed, while his other hand cleared the stray hairs from her face.

The girl before him had delicate features, her shy yet intensely focused appearance was incredibly adorable.

Even though he knew her eyebrows and features by heart, even though he could easily sketch out her silhouette with his eyes closed, he still felt like he couldn’t see through her, as if every look offered a new sensation and discovery.

This girl, Luo Xiaoqian.

The Bible says that God made woman from a rib taken out of a man.

If that’s true, then she must surely be the rib God took from him.

”Qian, you’re mine!” he murmured.

Kissing her earlobe, he proved his words with action.

...

...

The next morning, when Leng Zimo awoke, Luo Xiaoqian was still deep in sleep in his arms.

Glancing at the watch on the nightstand, Leng Zimo stayed in bed with her for another five minutes before he gently moved her head resting on his arm and carefully got out of bed.

He wanted to spend more time with her, but he had an early board meeting that day.

After showering and dressing, he walked past the bed, bending down to kiss her hair, then watched her with a tender smile for a good while before turning to tiptoe downstairs.

Reaching the parked car downstairs, Leng Zimo casually opened the car door and sat down inside, immediately noticing the gift Luo Xiaoqian had left for him on the dashboard. He picked it up, curiosity filling his heart, although his movements were gentle and slow, as though he was afraid to damage what was inside.

As the packaging unfolded, Luo Xiaoqian’s photo appeared on the CD cover.

His fingers stroked her pictured lips gently before he flipped open the cover and immediately his eyes caught the handwriting she had left inside.

”I will strive forward, hoping that one day, I can stand shoulder to shoulder with you!”

In the bottom right-hand corner was her signature—”Admiring you, loving you, Luo Xiaoqian,” followed by the date.

Each stroke of the words was clear; it was evident that when she wrote them, she did so with all her heart and earnestness.

In those few lines, her humility shone through every word and space.
