After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 262: Chapter 263 Similar Feelings [9]

”Oh, we’re going to capture some ocean views too, but not to the Maldives. We’re heading to Harbor Island in the Bahamas, with its pink sand beaches. You must have heard of it, right?”

”Mhm!” Luo Xiaoqian responded casually, ”So... is President Leng with you?”

”He...” Xu Xiaoyang glanced around and stopped his gaze on Leng Zimo, who was by the River’s edge grass, ”is he making a phone call by the River?”

”Is he... is he doing okay?” Luo Xiaoqian asked softly.

”He seems to be in a bad mood these past couple of days. Do you need him for something?”

Luo Xiaoqian started to explain incoherently, ”No, it’s just that I... I’ve always seen him as an idol, so that’s why I called you... I’m not trying to hit on him, I... I just...”

”Ha!” Xu Xiaoyang laughed out loud, ”I got it. How about this, I’ll get you his autograph later, okay?”

”He... he won’t be angry, will he?” Luo Xiaoqian continued to beat around the bush.

”I’ll ask for it, he definitely won’t get mad.” Xu Xiaoyang said.

”Then thank you, I won’t keep you from your work, I’ll hang up now...” She lowered her hand, intending to hang up the phone, but suddenly remembered something, ”Teacher Xu, please don’t tell him my name, I... I don’t want him to know...”

”Alright, I understand, don’t worry. When I get back to the country, I’ll make sure to bring you his autograph!” Xu Xiaoyang said with a smile as she hung up the phone.

By the riverbank, Leng Zimo had already turned pale with anger, his right hand that was holding the phone drooping down.

Just now, he had tried calling twice, and both times the line was busy.

That darn girl, who could she be talking to on the phone for so long?

He pocketed his phone with a solemn face, and after a moment, took it out again, dialing Zhuo Yannan’s number.

”President Leng, hello!” Zhuo Yannan’s tone became immediately formal upon recognizing the caller, ”Is there anything you need from me?”

”Nothing much, just wanted to ask if you’ve started working on the MTV shoot?”

”We just arrived in the Maldives. Since it’s nighttime, we can’t work, but I’ve already been discussing the script with the director. We will start shooting first thing tomorrow morning.”

”Mhm!” Leng Zimo hesitated for a bit, ”Is... is Luo Xiaoqian doing alright?”

”She seemed unable to concentrate during the recording earlier, probably feeling unwell, maybe a bit tired. She didn’t eat much at dinner either. But don’t worry, I’ve already instructed Yu Tong to take good care of her. We will do our best to shoot the best footage possible!”

”Mhm!”

Leng Zimo acknowledged, his mind flashing with the image of the girl’s thin face, but he frowned again.

He was aware of the MTV plan, which involved traveling to three countries and then returning home to shoot separately in Dali, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang. That girl would surely be overwhelmed, wouldn’t she?

”Do you... have anything else?” Zhuo Yannan asked carefully over the phone, having not heard Leng Zimo’s voice for quite some time.

”Take good care of her... I mean, while work is important, the health of the company’s artists is also very important...” Leng Zimo, usually so decisive, faltered for the first time.

Fortunately, Zhuo Yannan didn’t catch on. Although it was rare for President Leng to personally supervise a case, it wasn’t strange that he was investing so much effort in supporting a newcomer this time.

”I understand, I’ll try to reduce her workload as much as possible!”

”Good!” Leng Zimo paused briefly, ”This call, don’t disclose it to anyone!”
