After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 272: Chapter 273: Men and Women in Love [9]

Today’s complete pass meant that they wouldn’t have to rise early Tomorrow, which was certainly the best news they could hope for.

After helping the crew pack up the equipment on the beach, Luo Xiaoqian passed by the director and saw him checking the footage. Out of curiosity, she leaned over to take a look and felt her face flush slightly upon seeing herself on screen.

”Director, isn’t this movement of mine kind of silly?”

Having never shot anything before and only getting a crash course from the director the night before—during which her mind was too scattered to pay close attention—Luo Xiaoqian wasn’t very confident about her performance.

”How could that be?” the director smiled at her, ”Xiao Qian, this is an MV, not acting. The acting part is the job of actors. All you need is to be sincere, and it’s been a while since I’ve seen such an expression in someone’s eyes.”

”You’re just comforting me, aren’t you?” Luo Xiaoqian asked with a smile.

”Haha...” the director burst into laughter, ”Keep this innocence of yours, and I believe you’ll go far. Plus, you’re very photogenic; maybe you could try acting in films someday.”

”I couldn’t do that!” Luo Xiaoqian simply shook her head, but noticing two guys struggling with a heavy case nearby, she immediately turned and ran over to help.

The two young men, embarrassed, said, ”You don’t need to, we’ve got it!”

”I’m free anyway, might as well exercise my body,” replied Luo Xiaoqian, not treating herself like a guest at all as she walked over, lifted a smaller case from their large one, and helped load the vehicle.

Because of her behavior at the meeting yesterday, the production crew had been somewhat prejudiced against her, thinking the new girl was acting like a diva. After today’s interaction and seeing her modesty and hard work, everyone’s impression of her had greatly improved. Luo Xiaoqian’s relationship with the crew also became increasingly harmonious.

When everyone returned to the hotel, Luo Xiaoqian went back to her room, too anxious to wash up, she darted to the desk to find her charging phone. She intended to call Leng Zimo to report on her work, but when she dialed, the call went straight to voicemail.

After hanging up, she opened the unread text message.

”Arriving in Switzerland in two hours.”

These simple words were clearly sent in advance by Leng Zimo, anticipating she might call him.

She immediately began to reply, ”The first day of work went smoothly, the Maldives part is all wrapped up, and the director even praised me...”

”Xiao Qian!” Yu Tong burst into the room, ”Who are you texting so intently that you didn’t hear me knock? Hurry up, the director’s treating everyone to dinner after bleeding cash today!”

”Coming!”

After tapping ’send’ to dispatch the text message, Luo Xiaoqian stuffed her phone into her pocket, quickly washed her face, and headed downstairs with Yu Tong to the hotel lobby, joining the others on their way to dinner.

Switzerland airport.

The moment Leng Zimo disembarked from the plane, he immediately took out his phone and turned it on.

As soon as his phone powered up, a series of notification sounds buzzed— a text message had come through.

Seeing Luo Xiaoqian’s name, he hurried to open it.

”The first day of work went smoothly, the Maldives part is all wrapped up, and the director even praised me...”

”Great, I’m proud of you!”

Having read through the text message carefully, Leng Zimo quickly composed a reply and sent it back.

”Isn’t it great love?”

Anderson, walking beside him, lightly nudged Xu Xiaoyang’s arm.

Xu Xiaoyang turned and saw Leng Zimo with a smile on his face as he texted, and simply chuckled softly.

From the train ride earlier today until now, this young man, who was usually so reserved and serious, had been smiling the entire time. Even when there were some issues with the flight, he hadn’t lost his temper, a stark difference from the usual Leng Zimo.

That’s all for today, I have to step out
