After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 252: Chapter 253: Everything You Have is Mine【9】

Leng Zimo’s heart was filled with endless rage, and that fury instantly burnt away all his reason.

”Fine, then I’ll tell you, I want you to stay forever!” He reached out and pinched her chin, his dark eyes furiously glaring into hers, ”Luo Xiaoqian, listen well, your life was saved by me, everything you have is mine. As long as you’re alive, you must stay by my side, forever, forever!”

Letting go of her, he turned and made his way towards the villa, with each step sinking deeply into the sand.

The beer can he had dropped earlier tripped him up, his body swayed, and he almost fell.

Luo Xiaoqian instinctively took a step forward, but Leng Zimo had already straightened up, kicking the can forcefully into the air. The can rang out sharply as it collided with a chair in the distance, making an extremely piercing noise, then it rebounded, hitting Luo Xiaoqian on the shin.

Her shin throbbed dully, and Luo Xiaoqian bent over in pain.

The figure of Leng Zimo ahead was completely unaware, simply striding into the villa and forcefully slamming the door shut.

Moments later, the lights on the second floor lit up, then quickly dimmed again.

Luo Xiaoqian squatted on the beach, and tears began to drip down, forming two deep pits in the sandy ground.

”I’m sorry, Zimo!” she murmured, ”I like you, but I dare not love!”

Second floor.

Leng Zimo stood behind the curtains of the second-floor bedroom. From there, looking out through the gap between the two curtains, he could just make out Luo Xiaoqian squatting on the ground.

She was crouching with her head down, he couldn’t see her face, naturally he couldn’t see her cry, and he couldn’t hear the words she had spoken.

Turning around, he went back inside, fetched a cigar, lit it and came back to the window.

Through the gap, however, her figure had vanished; he lifted the curtains slightly in confusion, only to see Luo Xiaoqian had stood up and walked over to the table, tidying up the plates and the remaining meat and bread.

Leng Zimo’s face instantly darkened.

At a time like this, still having the mood to care about these things, it seemed she really didn’t care about him, to her, it truly was just gratitude.

His heart felt as if gripped by a stinging palm, both dull and painful.

Downstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian carefully collected the plates from the table and picked up the cans from the ground... Once everything was tidied, she looked up at the dark villa, turned and sat down by the tent.

All night long.

Leng Zimo stood behind the curtains all night, while Luo Xiaoqian sat in the tent all night.

Until, in the distant eastern horizon, the first light of dawn appeared.

Watching the morning sun rise over the sea, Leng Zimo pressed the lit end of his cigar against the ashtray on the window side, then he turned and went into the bathroom.

Moments later, when he emerged from the bedroom in a dark suit, he had returned to being the Leng Zimo everyone was familiar with.

Cold, hardened, indifferent.

Walking to the beach, he strode up to Luo Xiaoqian.

Wrapped in her sleeping bag, Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t slept all night, and now in the morning light, she finally started to doze uncontrollably.

Looking down at her huddled in her sleeping bag, Leng Zimo subconsciously bent down, intending to lift her up, his hand reached halfway then stopped mid-air and retracted.

”Time to go!”

”What?”

Luo Xiaoqian woke with a start, looking up at the figure of Leng Zimo standing before her; the light was dazzling, causing her eyes to ache.

As he observed the confused expression on her face, the anger in Leng Zimo, which had just settled, flared up again.
