Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 314: Chapter 315: Complete Awakening

Three weeks had passed.

Inside the depths of his soul, Runar remained completely immersed in enlightenment. There had been no interruption, no fluctuation, and no moment of ordinary awareness that pulled him back to the outside world. His body floated in silence, golden-white light circulating around him in slow and sovereign waves, while everything he had ever gained was being refined into something greater than the sum of its parts. The process had continued without pause, deeper and more complete with every passing day, and the longer it continued, the more it became clear that this was no longer a normal breakthrough. It was a transformation of his entire existence.

Outside, the Reliquary rested inside the personal space of the true Paragon who had seized it. The universe-sized ruin had been sealed away from the Multiverse, hidden from peers, and placed beyond the reach of every faction that had begun searching for it. Yet even inside that sealed domain, something unprecedented was happening. The stillness around Runar had become so heavy that even the residual laws of the Reliquary seemed to hold their breath. The trial grounds, the dormant chambers, the broken layers, and the hidden inheritance halls all remained quiet, as though the ruin itself recognized that the person at its heart was undergoing a change that even its creator might not have fully predicted.

Every principle Runar possessed had been pushed to its absolute limit.

The Principle of Runes, which had been his foundation for so long, no longer functioned as mere language or symbolic manipulation. It had become authority. Under the pressure of his comprehension, runes were no longer tools used to describe reality; they were the medium through which reality could be edited, stabilized, rewritten, or replaced. Every structure he had learned from the Rune Sovereign, every fragment he had taken from the Ancient Will, and every application he had developed through his own battles and insights had been refined until no inefficiency remained. The principle now stood at a depth that would have made even ancient rune masters fall silent, because it had been elevated beyond mastery and into something close to sovereignty.

The reconstructed Principle of Devouring had undergone an even more terrifying transformation. Runar had first comprehended it partially, then used it to devour the Void Devouring Dragon, and later rebuilt it through runes when the Reliquary’s suppression prevented him from using it directly. Now, with the suppression gone and his Heaven-Defying Comprehension operating at its truest level, the principle had been restored and completed. It no longer functioned as simple consumption. It had become a law of conversion, capable of devouring matter, energy, law, authority, memory, and meaning, then transforming all of it into fuel for his own foundation. It was not mindless hunger. It was disciplined, absolute, and guided by understanding.

The complete spectrum of elemental laws had also been elevated. Fire, water, wood, earth, air, lightning, ice, metal, light, shadow, and countless lesser elemental concepts had all been refined into their purest forms. They no longer behaved as separate forces. Under Runar’s comprehension, they became expressions of a single underlying truth: that all manifested phenomena could be broken down into structure and rewritten through structure. The elements had once been tools. Now they were part of his grammar.

Void Space, Time, Dimension, Analysis, Suppression, Spatial Sealing, Soul Imprinting, Trial Design, Law Enforcement, and all the other principles absorbed from the Ancient Will received the same treatment. None of them remained incomplete. None of them remained at a lesser stage. Each one had been examined, corrected, refined, and elevated until it reached the absolute peak of Paragon-level comprehension. Runar did not merely understand these laws; he understood the relationships between them, the hidden bridges that connected them, and the deeper framework that allowed them to function together. That was what separated true mastery from mere accumulation.

The Rune Sovereign’s inheritance had received the same treatment.

He had not merely understood it. He had thoroughly mastered every layer, every theory, every hidden structure, and then improved upon them. The Sovereign’s research had been profound, ancient, and filled with insights that even Paragons would struggle to follow, but Runar’s comprehension did not stop at reverence. He read the inheritance with the same relentless clarity he applied to everything else. Where the original inheritance contained brilliance, Runar’s comprehension added precision. Where it contained theories that had been incomplete, he filled the gaps. Where it contained assumptions limited by the Sovereign’s era, Runar corrected them using the knowledge gained from the Ancient Will, the Void Devouring Dragon, the Reliquary trials, and his own Heaven-Defying path.

In several places, he even surpassed the original work.

The Sovereign had theorized about ascending beyond the Multiverse. Runar could not yet walk that path himself, but he understood the theory well enough to see where the Sovereign had hesitated, where he had been limited, and where he had left questions unanswered. Those unanswered questions were not discarded. They were preserved, refined, and integrated into the growing structure of Runar’s own future. The inheritance was no longer something left behind by a dead sovereign. It had become living knowledge, reshaped by a mind that refused to accept limits. ℴℴ𝘮

All of it — every law, every inheritance, every fragment of knowledge — was being continuously broken down and used as fuel.

The Supreme Principle of Absolute Comprehension stood at the center of this process. It absorbed everything, elevated it, and stripped away all imperfections. It did not simply let Runar understand more; it made understanding itself into an absolute force. Anything it touched became clear. Anything unclear became structured. Anything structured became refinable. Anything refinable became part of his foundation. There was no law it could not read, no contradiction it could not resolve, and no mystery it could not begin to unravel.

In turn, the Supreme Principle of Origin Weave took that perfected understanding and wove it into deeper, more fundamental structures of reality. If Absolute Comprehension was the eye that saw all truth, Origin Weave was the hand that gave that truth form. It took the refined principles and stitched them into Runar’s soul with a precision that no ordinary technique could match. It did not merely stack laws on top of each other. It merged them. It created new relationships between them. It turned separate truths into a unified architecture that could support something greater than any single principle.

The two principles fed each other in a perfect, accelerating cycle. Understanding strengthened the ability to weave. Weaving created new truths that demanded even greater understanding. The more Runar comprehended, the more precisely he could weave. The more he wove, the more new structures appeared for him to comprehend. That cycle had begun slowly, but it had long since passed the point of acceleration. It had become inevitable. It had become a law of its own.

Deep within his soul, faint embryonic runes of a completely original design began to appear.

They did not belong to any existing system in the Multiverse. They were not derived from the Rune Sovereign’s grammar, nor were they copies of the Ancient Will’s trial language. They were being born from the resonance of the two Supreme Principles themselves, emerging where Absolute Comprehension and Origin Weave overlapped so perfectly that new meaning began to condense into form. These runes were faint, incomplete, and still developing, but their nature was already clear. They were the first letters of a language that had never existed before, a language that might one day be used to describe truths the Multiverse had not yet learned how to hold.

Outside his body, the consequences of this internal transformation were far from quiet.

Inside the Paragon’s personal space, an absorption of unprecedented scale was taking place.

Space energy was the first to be drawn in. It flowed toward Runar from every direction, pulled by an invisible hunger that did not ask permission from the laws governing it.

Cosmic energy followed, ripped from distant star-fields and compressed into shining currents. Void energy came next, dark and heavy, streaming inward like an ocean being forced through a single point.

Qi, mana, aether, divine energy, and zero-point vacuum energy all appeared in the surrounding domain as though they had been summoned from the deepest layers of reality.

Every form of measurable energy, and many forms that could not be measured by ordinary beings, were being violently extracted directly from the void.

The flow was continuous, aggressive, and still accelerating.

Rivers of multicolored light formed in the emptiness, streaming into Runar’s body from every direction without pause. Some were golden, some silver, some dark, some transparent, and some carried colors that had no place in normal space. They twisted around one another, merged, split, and then rushed inward again, as if the entire personal space had become a vast reservoir being drained toward a single center. The light was beautiful, but it was also terrifying, because every stream represented energy that had been torn away from the fabric of existence itself.

The personal space began to strain.

Fine cracks of pure white light appeared in the distance. The spatial fabric trembled. Structural integrity, which had been constructed to match the toughness of the Multiverse itself, was being pushed toward its limit by the pure devouring force of a single being who had not even fully awakened. The domain did not collapse immediately, because it had been built by a true Paragon and maintained with authority far beyond ordinary Void-spatial laws, but the signs of stress were unmistakable. The walls of reality were being pulled inward. The foundations of the private realm were groaning under a hunger that did not recognize boundaries.

The true Paragon watched in silence at first.

She stood not far from Runar’s floating body, her expression calm and her presence perfectly controlled, but her eyes reflected the storm of light with increasing gravity. She had seen many impossible things in her life. She had witnessed the birth of ancient treasures, the collapse of Multiversal wars, and the fall of beings who once thought themselves eternal. Yet even she had to admit that this was beyond what she had expected. Her personal space had withstood the presence of other Paragons, the residual pressure of ancient paragon level battles, and the weight of countless epochs and years. It had never required direct reinforcement from her own power.

Now she had no choice.

As the trembling intensified and the cracks spread further, her expression grew colder. She raised one hand and layered her Paragon-level authority over the spatial fabric, reinforcing every strained region with her own will. Golden-silver runes formed beneath her fingers, not the crude runes of mortal cultivators, but expressions of absolute authority that could command reality to remain stable. Her power spread outward in a silent wave, pressing against the cracks, strengthening the foundations, and forcing the trembling space to hold.

The cracks slowed. The trembling lessened. The space stabilized under her direct support.

Even then, she could feel a subtle pull.

A fraction of her own reinforcing power was being drawn toward Runar, as if the absorption did not completely distinguish between ambient energy and the authority of a true Paragon. The sensation was so strange that even her ancient composure tightened. Her power was not being stolen in the ordinary sense. It was being treated as another form of fuel. The hunger inside Runar’s enlightenment was so profound that it did not care whether the energy came from the void, from cosmic laws, or from the authority of a Paragon. If it could be read, it could be drawn. If it could be drawn, it could be consumed.

Her shock deepened.

From the scale of the absorption alone, she understood that whatever was being born inside this young man already exceeded normal categories. She had suspected he was special. She had known about his runic comprehension, his destruction of the Ancient Will, and his acquisition of the Rune Sovereign’s inheritance. She had even witnessed the early formation of the twin Supreme Principles with her own eyes. But witnessing and understanding were two different things. The difference was like looking at a painting from afar and then realizing the painting was slowly pulling the world into itself.

She briefly considered interrupting the process.

The thought appeared in her mind with cold clarity. If she severed the absorption, stabilized the space by force, and pulled Runar out of enlightenment, she could prevent further damage to her personal domain. She could also gain immediate control over the situation. For a being of her level, that option was not impossible. She had the power to act.

She discarded the thought immediately.

An enlightenment of this depth and intensity could not be disturbed without risking the destruction of the very thing that made him valuable. The twin Supreme Principles were still forming. The embryonic runes inside his soul were still stabilizing. If she forced him awake now, the cycle between Absolute Comprehension and Origin Weave might collapse. The principles might deform. The knowledge he had gathered might backlash into his soul and destroy the foundation he had built. Even if he survived, he would be damaged, and a damaged vessel carrying the seeds of Supreme Principles was worse than useless.

There was another possibility as well.

If the backlash was severe enough, it might not be limited to Runar alone. A failure at this level could rupture the personal space, destabilize the Reliquary, and force her into a direct confrontation with the consequences of her own seizure. Even she would find that troublesome.

So she chose the harder path.

She continued reinforcing the space in silence, eyes fixed on the figure at the center of the storm of light. Her power flowed outward in steady waves, repairing cracks before they could widen and stabilizing regions before they could collapse. She did not speak. She did not show impatience. She simply endured, because for the first time in a very long while, she was standing before something that demanded patience from a Paragon.

Inside, the two Supreme Principles pulsed in perfect resonance.

The cycle of Absolute Comprehension and Origin Weave reached a critical threshold. Golden-white light around Runar’s body grew denser, almost solid. It no longer looked like energy circulating around him. It looked like a cocoon made of law. The light carried runes within it, some old and some entirely new, and those runes moved with a rhythm that resembled breathing. The embryonic runes in the depths of his soul brightened one by one, responding to the final stage of the transformation.

The long process of refinement and fusion approached its final transformation.

Every principle he had mastered began to settle into place. Every fragment of the Rune Sovereign’s inheritance found its proper position. Every stream of devoured energy was compressed, purified, and woven into the architecture of his soul. The hunger that had been pulling the personal space apart slowly changed in nature. It was no longer simply consuming. It was completing. It was preparing for the moment when the accumulated weight of all his understanding would cross the final line.

The enlightenment was about to complete.

The true Paragon felt that change more clearly than anyone else. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and the power she used to reinforce the space intensified without her needing to make a conscious decision. The storm of light around Runar became so bright that even the distant Reliquary seemed to fade in comparison. The cracks she had sealed began to tremble again, not from instability, but from the sheer pressure of what was about to emerge.

She stood watch, her power still supporting the space around him, and waited for the moment his eyes would open.
