Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 309: Chapter 310: Twin Supreme Principles 2

The Mysterious Woman sat motionless in the void, her eyes fixed on the young man floating in enlightenment.

She had already been forced to accept the impossible once. The birth of a single new Supreme Principle inside a Multiversal cultivator was already an event that defied every record she had ever known, and she had spent countless years serving an existence that stood at the very peak of the Multiverse. She had remained still, watching, calculating, and waiting for him to awaken so she could question him about the destroyed Ancient Will and the inheritance. She had even begun considering how to phrase her first question without provoking him, because the value of his goodwill had already surpassed the value of brute force.

Then the second aura rose.

It was distinct from the first. Where the Supreme Principle of Absolute Comprehension felt like an endless, piercing clarity that threatened to see through all things, this new presence felt structured, deliberate, and creative. It carried the unmistakable weight of runes refined to their absolute limit, fused with every other law the boy had absorbed and then elevated beyond them. It was not merely understanding. It was the power to take understanding and weave it into existence itself.

A second Supreme Principle.

Her composure, already strained, completely shattered.

”A second one...” she whispered, the words leaving her lips before she could stop them. ”What the fuck is this boy?”

She had lost her composure countless time because of this boy.

For a long moment she simply stared, ancient eyes reflecting the golden-white light that continued to pour from Runar’s body. Two Supreme Principles. Born one after another inside the same existence. Even the legends of the single previous new Supreme Principle had never spoken of anything like this. The ancient records had described the arrival of one new Supreme Principle as an event that changed the balance of the Multiverse. What was happening in front of her was not a change in balance. It was the birth of something that could redefine what balance even meant.

Her thoughts raced with a speed that matched her shock.

If one Supreme Principle was enough to make him priceless, two made him impossible to treat as an ordinary variable. If he survived this enlightenment, if the principles stabilized, and if he learned to wield even a fraction of their authority, then he would not merely become a Paragon in the future. He would become an existence that Paragons would have to consider with genuine caution. The original body she served had sent her here to find a key to ascension, but the situation had evolved far beyond that original mission.

This was no longer a matter a clone could handle.

Her main body had to come.

The decision was instantaneous and absolute. There was no room for hesitation, no time for debate, and no value in waiting for a better moment. If other forces sensed what was happening before her original body arrived, the Reliquary would become a battlefield that even Paragons might struggle to control. She had to act before the birth of the twin principles leaked beyond her ability to conceal.

She rose slightly in the void and released her willpower without restraint. Under normal circumstances, the Reliquary’s suppression and isolation barriers would have resisted even a Paragon-level clone with significant force. The ruin had been built by the Rune Sovereign, and its systems had been designed to limit interference from higher existences. But the Ancient Will was already dead. The central intelligence that had maintained those restrictions for eons no longer existed. What remained were only hollow systems running on residual authority, and that residual authority had already begun leaning toward Runar rather than the ruin’s original protocols.

Her will crashed into them like a blade through paper.

The personal suppression still clinging to her clone body shattered first. Layers of restrictive law that had kept her power sealed since she entered the ruin peeled away and dissolved, each one breaking under the weight of a Paragon’s intent. Strength that had been deliberately restrained flooded back into her form, though she still kept most of it contained. There was no need to fully reveal herself yet, and releasing too much power near Runar’s enlightenment might provoke an unwanted reaction from the newborn principles.

Next she turned her authority outward.

The layered restrictions of the Reliquary itself — the spatial locks, the dimensional seals, the trial protocols that prevented external interference — broke under her command one after another. Some resisted for a moment, carrying echoes of the Sovereign’s original design, but without the Will to direct them they were little more than ancient walls without soldiers. She tore through them with precision, avoiding the deeper chambers she could not yet access and focusing only on the barrier that mattered most.

Finally she struck the isolation barrier that had kept the entire ruin hidden from the outside Multiverse.

The barrier tore open.

A clean, unobstructed link formed between the clone and her true body, which had been waiting billions of sectors away. The connection was not subtle, but it was brief and tightly controlled, carrying a single compressed report across the distance in the span of a thought.

For the first time since the Reliquary had awakened, a true Paragon became aware of its existence.

Far across the Multiverse, in a silent realm folded beneath layers of dead stars and sleeping laws, the original body of the Mysterious Woman opened her eyes.

The report from the clone arrived in an instant: the destruction of the Ancient Will, the absence of the Reliquary’s supervisor, the partial opening of the Rune Sovereign’s inheritance, the birth of not one but two new Supreme Principles inside a single young Multiversal cultivator, and the complete exposure of the ruin’s location. The information was so far beyond expected parameters that even a being who had stood at the peak of the Multiverse for countless years felt a rare flicker of gravity.

She did not speak. She did not summon attendants. She did not issue commands to her factions.

She simply rose from her secluded cultivation ground.

Space folded around her with the effortless authority of a true Paragon. The distance of billions of sectors meant nothing to someone who had long since mastered the laws, rules and principles that governed distance. She began moving toward the Reliquary at full speed, her presence causing distant universe light to dim as she passed. Entire void currents shifted away from her path. Ancient wards belonging to forgotten civilizations extinguished themselves before she could touch them. Even the multiversal laws that normally resisted such movement bent slightly, as though reality itself recognized that an apex existence had decided to act.

Her mind, however, was not on the journey.

It was on the two words buried in the clone’s report.

Twin principles.

If the clone had sensed correctly, then the being inside the Reliquary was not merely a genius. He was an anomaly that could alter the structure of existence itself. The Rune Sovereign’s inheritance had been important, but it had always been a means to an end. This young man might be something far more valuable — not just a key to ascension, but a living proof that Supreme Principles could still be born.

And if Supreme Principles could still be born, then the bottleneck that had trapped her at the peak of Paragonhood might not be absolute after all.

Back inside the ruined layer, the clone slowly lowered her hand.

The isolation of the Reliquary was gone. The suppressions were broken. Her main body was on the way. Until that arrival, she would remain here, watching the young man who had forced a Paragon to move in person. She did not regret breaking the barrier, because secrecy was no longer possible once two Supreme Principles began resonating inside the ruin. If she had not called her original body, someone else would have eventually noticed. It was better for her to control the situation than to leave it to chance.

She settled once more into the void, her expression colder and more serious than it had been at any point since entering the trial. Her main body would arrive any microsecond now.

Runar continued to float in enlightenment, the two embryonic Supreme Principles resonating inside his soul with quiet, world-altering power. Golden-white light still cascaded around him, but it had become more ordered now, more deliberate, as though the light itself had learned to obey him. The Reliquary leaned toward him more deeply with every passing moment, its residual laws no longer treating him as a mere participant. Even the Pseudo-Paragon core in the clone’s hand pulsed faintly in his direction, as if it too recognized the authority forming inside him.

The clone watched in silence.

A boy who had destroyed the Ancient Will.

A boy who had potentially claimed the Rune Sovereign’s inheritance.

A boy who was giving birth to two Supreme Principles at once.

She no longer thought of him as a promising talent or a future Paragon.

She thought of him as a variable that could change the structure of the Multiverse itself.

And her main body was already on the way.
