Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1295: Chapter 1296: Instant Death on the Spot

Ye Zhi was skilled, but the bandits were also skilled, and with five of them attacking her alone, and all armed with knives, Ye Zhi, who was unarmed, quickly found herself at a disadvantage.

Even more, she was ambushed by the bandits and suffered a slash on her back.

The burning pain in her back completely enraged her.

Originally, Ye Zhi did not want to use a pistol, but now she had no choice. If she didn’t kill them, they would kill her, so she quickly bent over and drew the pistol hidden in her boots and strapped to her calf.

Quickly loading the bullet, bang, the bullet flew towards the bandit who posed the greatest threat to her.

It hit the bandit right in the forehead, instantly killing him.

The bandit known as Third Master and the other three saw Ye Zhi holding something dark which instantly took a life, which terrified them. They no longer wanted to chop Ye Zhi nor did they want to capture her to be their bride, they turned and ran.

Fearing that Ye Zhi would use that dark object to end their lives right then and there.

Seeing everyone running away, Ye Zhi did not chase after them, as she was injured and needed to treat her wounds quickly.

But with no village in front and no store behind, and without a horse, where could she go to find a doctor to treat her injuries?

At this moment, Ye Zhi missed Gong Juechen terribly.

Although Gong Juechen was somewhat lacking in tact, his medical skills were genuinely excellent. With him around, she wouldn’t have to worry about her injury.

But now, she had to worry that she might die from losing too much blood without timely medical attention.

Without even glancing at the corpse on the ground, Ye Zhi thought about walking back. The map showed that by walking back three miles there was a small town, but going forward, it would take five miles to reach a small town, so naturally, she chose to walk back.

She couldn’t just wait here to die.

Just as Ye Zhi had taken about twenty steps back, she suddenly heard the sound of approaching horse hooves, and Ye Zhi was overjoyed.

Heaven never seals all the exits! She shouldn’t die!

Following the sound and looking back, she quickly saw Qin Yi riding a horse approaching.

Qin Yi was on his way here after running into Ting Shu and Liu Feifei, who told him they had encountered bandits, asking him to come and save Ye Zhi quickly, so he rode his horse even faster to get there.

”Miss Ye!”

”You came just in time, come down quickly, give me the horse, I am injured and need to urgently find a doctor.” Ye Zhi took the reins from Qin Yi and mounted the horse. ”Deal with this corpse, and then, tell your Princess not to worry about me, I won’t die.”

After speaking, Ye Zhi rode off on the horse.

Qin Yi watched Ye Zhi ride away, then lowered his head to look at the corpse on the ground. Seeing something unusual about the wound on the corpse’s forehead, he knelt down to examine it.

This wound...

Seeing the bullet in the wound, Qin Yi did not know what it was, assuming it to be a hidden weapon, but he still removed the bullet, wrapped it in cloth, and then dealt with the corpse.

After dealing with the corpse, he headed in the direction of Ru Xi County.

Not long after walking, he heard the sound of rapid hoofbeats, seemingly from more than one horse.

Soon, An Jing, Xiao Changyi, and Meng Zhuqing appeared before him, evidently, Ting Shu and Liu Feifei had already reached Ru Xi County and informed An Jing and the others about the incident.

”Qin Yi, where’s Ye Zhi?” An Jing asked urgently, not even close to Qin Yi yet.

Qin Yi immediately replied: ”Miss Ye is injured, she took my horse to find a doctor to treat her injuries. She asked me to tell the Princess not to worry, she won’t die.”
