Chapter 1290: Chapter 1291: No Cruellest, Only Crueler

Looking at Ye Zhi still maintaining that position on the ground, and then at An Jing also maintaining the same posture, the Generals: ”...” Does this mean that without real skills, one would be too embarrassed to train others?

The new recruits: ”...” Instructors, deputy instructors, we are really growing more and more in admiration, but... doesn’t it hurt when you fall like that?

It really hurts just watching them. It’s also quite nerve-wracking.

An Jing felt that everyone had seen enough, so she pulled Ye Zhi up with her. Standing up, she placed her hands on her back and asked the new recruits: ”Do you think that the deputy instructor and I would get hurt falling like that?”

The new recruits immediately answered loudly: ”Yes!”

The Generals: ”...” Such a loud voice... But it’s also very imposing.

An Jing nodded, then asked again: ”Were you able to see what actions the deputy instructor and I performed while we were falling?”

The new recruits truthfully said: ”You both fell too quickly, we were startled and didn’t notice what actions you performed while falling.”

An Jing turned to look at the Generals, ”Did the Generals notice anything?”

The Generals shook their heads: ”We were also startled, we only saw that you landed on your palms and forearms at the end.”

Then, the Generals looked at Xiao Changyi and asked, ”May I know if Prince has noticed anything?”

An Jing took the opportunity to look at her husband and said: ”Prince, this is something I haven’t practiced for you before, you’re also seeing it for the first time today, did you notice anything?”

She simply told her husband that she would definitely be fine, reassuring him, but she did not specify to him how she would protect herself while falling.

Xiao Changyi did not want to speak at first, but since his wife also asked him, he spoke: ”While falling forwards, both of your arms bent at the elbows in front of your chest, palms facing down, lift your head and tuck your abdomen, and finally, land on both palms and forearms.”

An Jing couldn’t help but smile wider at the corners of her mouth. Her husband is truly an extraordinary genius.

”It’s exactly as Prince described,” An Jing spoke. ”But while falling, the legs must remain straight, fall quickly to the ground, don’t dawdle and fall with bent legs, that can easily cause injury.”

Then, An Jing explained the reason for practicing falling techniques: ”This might be considered falling technique, it can prevent injury when falling, and enhance our protective abilities during falls. I will not only teach you forward falls, but also teach you backward falls, side falls, and so on.”

After seeing An Jing and Ye Zhi’s forward fall demonstration, everyone was less shocked when An Jing and Ye Zhi instructed on backward and side falls, no longer making such a fuss as they did in the beginning.

But!

When An Jing taught the new recruits the ’forward fall’, the recruits and the Generals were once again shocked, almost stepping forward to stop An Jing from doing it.

’Forward fall’ what is it? It’s pushing off the ground with both feet, leaping forward, then falling to the ground.

Just falling down is one thing, but you’re also leaping forward?

The danger level just increased substantially!

It’s really very dangerous!

Yet, An Jing was still unharmed, steadying herself on the ground without incident, new recruits: ”...” Instructor, it really hurts! You and the deputy instructor are used to it, and it doesn’t hurt, but for us who just started practicing, it’s really painful!

The Generals: ”...” Do you have to be that harsh? You’re just female soldiers, even if you’re weaker than male soldiers, nobody would say anything.

At this moment, the Generals finally understood that with An Jing, there is nothing too harsh, only harsher.

This is true for the soldiers, and for herself as well.
