Chapter 1286: Chapter 1287: Four Hundred Meter Hurdles

...

After half a month of training, Liu Feifei and the others have significantly improved their physical fitness, and the duration for each training exercise, which used to be extended due to their initial capabilities, has now been greatly reduced.

For instance, carrying a load and running ten laps around the training ground initially took at least two hours for all ten recruits to complete, but now it takes just an hour at most.

Like crawling back and forth under a 30-meter barbed wire for 300 times, it used to take nearly two hours, but now it doesn’t even take an hour.

Since the time required for each training activity has been shortened, naturally there’s time to train in other things. Given that everyone’s physical fitness should now be up to par, An Jing and Ye Zhi decided to add a ’400-meter obstacle course’ in the morning, and ’falling techniques’ in the afternoon.

Of course, the load-carrying run increased from ten laps to twelve.

Yesterday, An Jing gave the recruits a heads-up, saying that from today onwards, they would undergo more intense training for their physical fitness. The recruits were mentally prepared and had grown accustomed to non-stop daily training, so no one showed any signs of rejection.

As before, everyone finished lifting the Stone Lock, and by then it was a quarter past ten in modern time.

Then, An Jing and Ye Zhi took the recruits to the ’400-meter obstacle course’ training area.

Hearing that An Jing was introducing a new exercise today, the high-ranking officers of Wolf Camp followed Xiao Changyi again to witness it.

This time, Meng Zhuqing followed as well.

Xiao Changyi did not ask Meng Zhuqing to accompany him, but Meng Zhuqing followed voluntarily. Xiao Changyi just glanced at Meng Zhuqing and then paid no further attention to whether Meng Zhuqing followed him or not.

Since Meng Zhuqing often accompanied Xiao Changyi, the generals did not find it inappropriate for Meng Zhuqing to be following behind Xiao Changyi.

Previously, when Xiao Changyi and the generals came to observe, the recruits were wrestling in a muddy field, covered in mud from head to toe, unrecognizable and very tired. They had no mood to care about whether anyone came to watch them, but today was different. They hadn’t started training yet, the instructors hadn’t told them how to perform the exercise, and they were all just standing in line, causing them to be somewhat nervous, afraid of embarrassing themselves once they started.

After all, these were high-ranking military officers.

All prominent figures in the military.

Pretending they didn’t exist was somewhat impossible.

But An Jing and Ye Zhi could disregard their presence and focus on training the recruits.

As modern special forces, they had the psychological strength for this.

The 400-meter obstacle course is a comprehensive exercise demanding high levels of strength, speed, agility, coordination, and endurance.

An Jing stood opposite Ye Zhi and the recruits, raising her voice, ”You must have noticed, this training exercise includes eight groups of obstacles: hurdle, trench, low wall, high jump platform, cloud ladder, log bridge, high wall, and low hurdle net; you will need to navigate through all these obstacles back and forth.”

Immediately, An Jing stepped aside, pointing at the 400-meter obstacle course track and explained, ”Let me first tell you how to run this. First, you run from here to that flag, rounding the flag as you turn; then jump over three hurdle poles; then leap across the trench; then jump over the low wall; then pass the high jump platform; then navigate through the cloud ladder; then cross the log bridge; then climb over the high wall;”
